Well, first off, Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans on the otaku!!!

This is my second favorite holiday after Halloween, so of course I had to spruce up my page for it. ^__^ Mononoke will be back in a day or two. And it’s doubly awesome cause now I have three days off.

We don’t, as of yet, have any plans for today. But we’ll just have to see what happens. Well, I guess that’s it for now. Have a great day everyone!!

Oh man, I’m tired, so this will be a short post. Hmm, oh, I fixed the copy and paste html code on the Summer Fun contest page, thanks to Dany. You’re a doll babe. I’ve gotten a lot of requests from people wanting to be judges… but we need some actual contestants to judge here. o_O

I know I had something else to say. o_O But I don’t have enough brain power left to think of it. Ah nuts. It’ll probably come to me after I post. Don’t you just hate that? When you think of things too late?

On a totally random note, I cannot feed my Jedi obsession enough. Hmmm. Ah, I’ve gotten a lot of requests for html help in the last couple of days. I will, of course, try to help my close friends, but that’s it. I’m sorry. I don’t have the time it takes to guide 20 different people through this process.

I finally got to visit everyone today! Huzzah! And for whoever it was that asked, yes indeed that was Ariel in yesterdays post.

Well, I only have two announcements for this post.

1. Sephy is our new-featured member for THAT, so come check out her interview [here]. You don’t have to be a member to learn about your fellow myOer’s either. ^_~ She is my doll and I’d appreciate it, besides she has a lovely site to check out!

2. I am going ahead with the art contest. It’s going to be a Summer Fun Contest to get us all in the spirit of lounging around in the sun. For all those interested in judging or entering this contest, all it’s rule and information can be found [here]. There are even banners there for the contestants and judges (once they are selected) to display on their page. I have provided you with the html to direct link it from me. As you’ll find in the rules, it’s a requirement until the contest is over. We are trying to draw more people into entering, after all. These sorts of things are no fun without participation. ^_^

EDIT: Scratch that, I have just added a banner for those who don't wish to participate, but would still like to help promote this contest.

Well, this weekend sucked royally, but it’s over, hurray! And three awesome things happened today.

One, which I have to tell about first cause I LOVE it… I finally got my PT Cruiser today!! The hubby and I went car shopping, and we got a new 2005 Midnight blue PT Cruiser. Oh… is it PRETTY. And it’s a Touring addition, which means it’s got fully automatic, like everything in it. I love it, LOVE IT, I tell you. As you can tell, I’m all kinds of excited here. *swoon* I could probably rave on and on about the car… but someone will have to hit me to stop.

So, next one… heh, I won third place in some sort of site contest. Which I didn’t know was happening, have no idea what it was for, and didn’t know I was entered in. o_O Now how about that? I won something and didn’t have to do a thing. =P Good deal. I even have a nifty little award.

And last, Shippo-souten and Raven had a birthday! So yeah! Happy Birthday my chickadees! I hope it was a wonderful one and that you both have many more!

Lie74 - What system do you use for making your graphics? Oh yes and a little question of me, what is your favorite color?

I am partial to Photoshop 7. I got the new one, 8, but it pissed me off, so for my own sanity I went back to the other. As for my favorite color… blue baby!

iluvsasuk - If u were stranded on some island with no food and water, except for one bowl of jelly and your best-friend. Who would eat the jelly?

Depends on what kind it is. =P If it’s grape, then I’m afraid my friend’s outta luck.

SKR - Who would win in a fight, Yoda or King Kong?

Easy doll… Yoda would mop the floor with his monkey ass. I mean that little dude’s fast after all! And he can levitate things! =P

Enin - Now I'd like to know if you were given a chance to go back in time and correct one mistake you've made in the past, what would it be?

Well, I can think of a few, one would be to go back to my freshman year of college and not make the freshman mistake. As for some others, well I’ll keep those to myself. (And yes, the Scarecrow is one of the prettiest men I’ve ever seen)

SessT - What was the first anime you ever saw?

Cowboy Bebop. Heh, see why I’m spoiled when it comes to anime? I can even tell you the exact episode. It was the one were the weird, erm fungus? Thing was terrorizing the ship, and we learned the profound lesson of not to leave stuff in the fridge.

Peibu - what is the longest you have gone with out eating?

Hmm, that I can’t really remember. Probably only like a day and a half. I love food. <3

Final fantasy7287 - What super power would you like to have and what would you do with it?

Personally, I’d love to be able to fly! Hell yeah. And well, I’d use it for my own entertainment most likely. Superhero material I am not. Villain perhaps?

BurningDeamon - Whats the MOST embarassing momment in your life?

Well oh my. I’m not sure if I could tell something like that without getting in trouble around here. I do have some interesting band camp stories though. =P Yeah, go ahead and say it… One time at band camp… even played the flute too.

ShadowLight – What’s the animal that makes you go awwwwww and you just want to hug it real tight?

Hehe, honestly doll I do that to a lot of animals, and even some other things (like tiny bottles and Yoda). But if I had to pick my favorite, it’d probably be Ewan McGregor, no, no, I mean kittens. There’s something about the silly tiny balls of fur that I find irresistible.

Vanessa - What is the grossest thing that has happened to you that you can remember?

Hmm, another hard one. I don’t get grossed out very easily. How sad, I can’t think of anything off hand. I know there has to be something that’s grossed me out. If I think of something, I will definitely tell you about it.

Sw33tZ - What is the most CRAZIEST thing you've ever witnessed/done. How did you stumble across myO and how did you think up this name?

Well, passing someone on a narrow background with oncoming traffic comes to mind right, As for the O, one of the girls from ff.net I chatted with on AIM and we reviewed each other’s stories… she belonged to the O and I sorta stalked her here. As for the name, I honestly don’t know how I came up with it. I just sorta liked it.

Tangerine - why the name, Shanny? Is it like a nickname as a child, or something?

Well, your question fits right with Sw33tZ’s. My pen name on ff.net is Shandrial. And another of my AIM buddies, a crazy German chick also from ff.net, gave me that nickname from Shandrial. Heh, although she already knew my real name at the time, so I’m not sure why she gave it to me. But I liked it and it stuck around ff.net. And when Red and Beck found me on the O (also originally from ff.net), they started calling me that also. Pretty soon everyone here knew me by that name and it replaced DP as my nickname around here.

Yami seto - I have no questions for you except how are you so darn cool?

Well that is a matter of opinion. But I think you are pretty damn cool yourself babe!

DamienDante – I’m still wondering, why do men have nipples?

I almost fell over laughing with that one. Heh, who cares about the scientific reason, right? (never mind the fact I was a Bio major) I say they have them for two reason, one – so women can turn them on, and two – for other men to torture them with.

Philfoula - Do you sleep??? It's just cause a lot of your previous posts (including todays) are at like 3am and stuff...

Heh, yeah I do sleep some times. I love sleep, yes I do. But night shifters, like bats, are nocturnal. =P Couldn’t help the Batman Begins reference there.

Marz - If there was one thing you can have, what would it be?

Three words, err syllables anyway… P.T. Cruiser.

Hinata-san13 - If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Back to my favorite place of all time. St. Lucia!

Snow fox - If you could choose one anime to turn into a live-action film, what would it be and who would star in it?

Personally, I think animes make horrible live action things. Could you imagine something like Naruto a live action film? *cringe* But it worked for GTO, although the live action was made from the manga, before the anime came out. So I suppose more realistic stories could pass as live action ones. My only thought would be Cowboy Bebop, perhaps. I think it would be fesable to do. Though you’d lose a lot of it’s artistic feel. That is the best thing about anime, isn’t it? The different types of animation.

Sephy - Would you give Sephy a kiss!?

Hell yeah! *mwah*

Shippo-souten - When you started here at otaku, did you make friends very quickly? Or did you go around looking for friends?

Well, when I started here I already knew some people, like Red, Beck, aurus, Millyfan, and ShinyFairyLights. Though I admit I know them all a little better now. Yeah, I guess I did go around and do the GB signing thing. It was when I started chatting with Molly-chan that her friends and mine stared to form one large group. After that, it just sorta opened up a bunch more contacts.

Oh man, I’ve been up for like 36 hours now and I’m still going. o_O So if my post and comments are a little off on spelling, and well making sense, you know why, heh. Red will be happy to know I’ve spent all night on ATG, yo.

Anyway. Oh. My. God. Batman Begins was the coolest movie, EVER. I looooved it, yes, yes, I enjoyed it so. Made me very happy. Heh, I can go on and on about the joys that was that movie, but I won’t, cause I know I’m prolly not that coherent right now. But I have to say I highly recommend it!! And I must say how much I love Christian Bale and Liam Nison. Much love.

My Give A Dam's Busted

Well, Friday we all know sucked, and I’m not even going to get into last night. Multiple people calling in piss me off. I’m so incredibly worn out from running my ass of for 12 hours.

But, but! My weekend is at hand, so hurray! I’m going to see Batman today. Has anyone seen it? Is it good? (no spoilers now) Meh, I don’t feel like posting about THAT now, I’ll do it some other time.

Short, yup, but I’m brain fried, can’t think of anymore.

EDIT: I'm going out now, I'm going to DIE if I don't eat soon, but the theme change is not complete. So those of you visiting here later in the day, I apologize to you for the sorta wacky colorization going on here. I'll fix it later.

It’s been awhile since I posted and I’m sorry about that. I’m posting now to bitch, so be forewarned about the mood and language.

What a crappy day, there’s no other way to describe it. I’ve felt like hell all evening and in pain. Today was my turn to run our micro room and it was swamped. I’ve tested out my ass this evening. These stupid guys, that weren’t part of the lab, were in there all damn evening putting something, I never even paid attention, in agar plates. So the place smelled horrid and became sickenly hot after a while. The only good redeeming feature about running that room is the relative peacefulness of no one else being there with you. And they just ruined that part, plus the fact I had to work around THEM in OUR lab. I smashed the outside of my right hand between a cart and cabinet. Ouchess. Now it hurts to flex my hand too much. And that nasty smell gave me one hell of a headache, which is just perfect, just what I need while feeling bad anyway.

Now I just want to change into comfy bum clothes, get something to eat (I’m starving), and relax. But the hubby has company over, so right now I’m hiding upstairs. Not that I’m unsocial or anything, I like having people over. But I’m in a bad mood and I don’t want to seem like a bitch to people I don’t know. Hehe, so I’m bitching here instead. But I’ll stop now, cause I know I’m pushing it and no one wants to listen to someone whine too much.
