Dante VS. Grave

The sounds of large boots thudding against the ground, and chains clanking together could be heard miles away from the Cemetery. A dead man, once known as Brandon, now known as Grave, wrapped in chains and holding a custom made casket on his back, made his way though the abyss. Grave, the dead man walked through the heavy fog of the dark cemetery, with a dark blue cowboy hat, covering his once alive eyes, and comfortably shielding his long black hair, and sitting over his corrective lenses. His long coat with a cross on the back of it fit perfectly over his shoulders as he entered a sacred area of the cemetery. The ground was circular with mythical designs engraved in the ground. Tall granite columns surrounded the area, and in the middle of the circle, lay a tombstone with DP engraved on it.

On the other side of the massive cemetery, a young looking half demon entered the creaking gates. He held two guns, that he dubbed Ebony and Ivory in both hands. His sword, Rebellion, hung over his back, lying against his crimson coat. The heels of his solid black boots clapped against the cement ground, as he reached the middle of the cemetery.
“Who the hell are you?” Dante asked when he saw Grave standing at the large tombstone with DP written on it. Grave looked up, and saw Dante staring at him, and then he looked back down at the tombstone. Dante pointed Ebony at him, and pulled the hammer back, “I’m not asking again. Now, who the hell are you?” Dante asked again. Grave looked up again, and looked back down.
“You work for Aurius, don’t you?” Dante said, with a smirk. Grave began to get annoyed by Dante, and the casket on his back opened two panels. Dante heard the sound of the casket opening, and he immediately shot Grave. The force of the bullets knocked Grave to the cold ground. His casket hit the ground first, and two large guns fell out of the casket. Fresh blood leaked out of Graves’s chest, and created a red river on the decorated ground.
“That was too easy, I need a new opponent. Aurius, wherever you are, I need you to send me someone worth fighting!” Dante yelled loudly, and then he was shot a couple of times in the chest. He flew backwards, out of the sacred part of the cemetery, and into the grass. He sat up on his elbows, and looked up, only to see Grave standing over him, pointing to huge black decorated guns at him.
“Bitch,” Dante said, and jumped back, as Grave fired at him. Dante picked his guns up, and shot back as he hopped back up to his feet. The bullets hit Grave in his stomach, but this time he didn’t budge. Dante dashed in Grave’s direction with his sword in his hand, and Grave swung his casket around to ward him off. Dante leaned back, and slashed at Grave after the casket past him. Grave jumped back, and his belt full of bullets showered to the ground. Grave kicked Dante back, and put the casket over his shoulder. Dante pulled out a sawed-off shotgun, and landed on one knee. As soon as he looked up, he was in another surrounding, another cemetery. It was smaller, and the atmosphere around it was a yellowish aurora. Then he saw Grave with the casket over his shoulder, and large cannon popped out of the side of it. Dante launched into the air, as Grave fired a large missile. Before landing, Dante fired a few rounds at Grave before running out of bullets. Dante landed, and ignited his devil trigger. Dante’s white even flowing hair, turned spiky, and his body took the form of a full demon. His once ice cold blue eyes, turned into nothing but white irises that stared evilly at Grave. He flew at Grave with his full wings, and pulled out Ebony and Ivory, only this time, the two guns were firing electricity. The cannon on Grave’s casket went back in, and a whole bunch of guns popped out of it. The casket fired thousands of rounds a second, and Dante dodged all of them while nearly hauling thunderbolts at Grave. Dante finally got to Grave, and knocked the casket out of his hands, and Grave knocked the guns out of Dante’s hands. As soon as the casket fell out of Grave’s grasps, the cemetery diminished, and they were both back in the other cemetery. They locked hands, and Grave stared fearlessly at Dante, as both their grips tightened. Dante lost his devil trigger, and he kneed grave in the gut. He got out of the grapple, and tumbled over to his guns. Grave retrieved his guns, and turned around only to meet the end of Dante’s guns. Grave returned the favor, and they both fired at the same time.

A few miles away, in the inner city, lay a huge building in the middle of downtown. At the top floor, the owner of this town sat comfortably in his leather chair drinking wine. His name was Aurius, a man that Dante thought he had killed a long time ago. Aurius was a middle aged looking man, with a hairline that had receded to the back of his head, and a mustache. He was dressed in a white suit and a pair of black boots similar to Dante’s. He put his wine down, and pulled out his black magnum.
“My plan has worked, quite sweetly. It’s time I pay Dante a visit,” Aurius said, with a chuckle. He shot the window open, and jumped out of it. He landed on the ground, and began walking in the direction of the cemetery.

The two warriors, both lie in a puddle of their own beings, but they both still possessed the will to live. Dante opened his eyes, and slowly got up, just as Grave did.
“You just don’t give up, do you?” Dante said, as he picked up a gun. Grave did the same, and pointed a gun at Dante, “You’ve truly gained my respect,” Dante said, and pointed a black gun, with a white cross design on it at Grave. Grave pointed Ivory, at Dante, and with the blink of an eye, they were both back in a gun fight. They both picked up each other’s guns, and now they were running down different ends of the cemetery, shooting at each other. They both reached the end of the cemetery, and they threw the guns back to their rightful owner.
“Shall we finish this?” Dante asked. Grave nodded his head one time. They pointed their guns at each other one more time for the last standoff, then the tombstones in the cemetery exploded, and boulders flew everywhere. Dante jumped up, and ran along the rock fragments, using them as stepping stones. Grave walked through them, like they were flying pieces of paper. Aurius came out of the debris, with his large magnum in his hand.
“Aurius!” Dante yelled, as he jumped off of one of the large rocks.
“Hello, Dante,” Aurius said, calmly.
“I’ve been fighting your little lackey all night, now it’s time for the real battle to start,” Dante said.
“You must mean Grave, he’s not my lackey, actually he is on your side,” Aurius explained.
“What do you mean?” Dante asked.
“He’s not much of a talker, but I did manage to set you both against each other, that way I would be unstoppable. But seeing as though you two at equal, I’ve decided to finish you both off,” Aurius stated.
“You couldn’t defeat me alone, how do you plan on beating me, and this other guy?” Dante asked, and pointed at Grave.
“Thanks to Grave’s, or should I say, Brandon’s little syndicate, I have grown much more powerful than before,” Aurius said, with a grin.
“Enough talking,” Dante said, and fired at Aurius. Aurius disappeared, and ended up sitting on one of the left over tombstones. “You never could face me, Aurius.” Aurius began to take the form of a large beast, his skin turned blue, and his body became sort of deformed. One arm was longer than the other, and the short arm was holding his magnum, and the other was just a huge fist. Aurius punched a hole in the ground, and Dante fell through. Aurius jumped in after him, and Grave quickly grabbed his casket, and slid in last. Dante fired his guns up at Aurius as he fell, for what seemed to be forever. Dante hit the ground first, and rolled over before Aurius could land on him. Grave landed on his feet, carrying his two guns with the casket barely holding onto him. Dante got up, and looked at the surroundings, that looked like the insides of a beast. Every thing was pulsating, like a massive heartbeat. Aurius began his assault by spraying a shitload rounds at Dante, and punching viciously at Grave. Grave aimed right at Aurius’s head, but his large fist seemed to stop all of Grave’s shots. Dante ran along the throbbing wall, and did a jumping cartwheel, while firing slugs at Aurius. Demons, and succubae appeared from nowhere, and they attacked Dante as he landed. Dante crossed his arms, and fired to kill two demons at his sides. Grave jumped on top of Aurius’s large arm, and ran along his arm, shooting the demons in his way. Pink lightening began shooting out of the ground. Dante tumbled, and flipped, trying to dodge the lightning while slaughtering the demons with Ebony and Ivory. Grave almost reached the head, after a turbulent ride, but before he could do anything, Aurius’s head turned to the side, and shot some swords through his torso from his mouth. Aurius then knocked Grave off of his shoulder, and focused his attention on Dante, who was busy with two succubae. He blocked one of their swords with his Ivory, and kicked the other with before she could attack him. The two succubae regrouped, and stabbed at Dante, but he jumped up, and fired a rain shower of bullets upon them. When he landed, he was shot in the back by Aurius, and fell face first onto the flesh like surface. Aurius drove his fist down forcefully at Dante, and Grave fired up at him from where he lay. Dante rolled over, hopped up, and springboarded off of the wall with his guns aimed right at Aurius’s face. Aurius jammed Dante against the wall, and drained whatever energy he had left. Aurius’s gun was held at Grave’s head, and there was nothing neither could do to save the other.
“Dante, you are a disgrace, just like your father,” Aurius’s distorted voice said. His words repeated over and over again in Dante’s head, and he began to think of his mother and family, then his devil trigger started up again. Only this time, he’d turned into a hideous monstrosity, bigger and stronger than the first transformation, with a muscular body. The transformation in itself broke Aurius’s grip, and he immediately began throwing large power blasts at Aurius, and Grave took this opportunity, to hop up into the air, and complete a full bullet dance by spinning around with his casket firing rounds. And for the finale, Dante hauled his sword full of electricity at Aurius, and Grave topped it off with three missiles from the casket. The amount of power behind those two blows was enough to send Dante and Grave flying up into the cemetery, and to finish off a screaming Aurius. The two warriors both lie on their backs, still weak from the battle they just went through. Grave was first to get up, and as Dante stumbled to his feet; he helped him up and dusted him off.
“You’re not so bad for a dead guy, I couldn’t have done it without you,” Dante said, and Grave extended his hand in fellowship. Dante shook his hand with a tight grip, “Maybe next time we meet, it will be a more pleasant occasion,” Dante added, and Grave nodded. The two men made piece, and went on their separate ways, to begin their next journey.
