Death Note
Prologue

"Kira strikes again!" the reporter announced on the screen of the class TV set. "There's been yet another death of a criminal that has been confirmed by the police about an hour ago. yet another heart attack." The face of the criminal appeared. "Tatsuya Haragawa, who was charged ffor the murder of Kissa Norihiko about 2 weeks ago died at 7:28 a.m. this morning" continued the reporter. The class sat there in silence watching the Tokyo News about the Kira killings. "Wow Kira's really on the move.." whispered one of the female students to another.
"That makes 30 deaths this week" replied the other student. Mrs. Urashima, the first period History teacher, turned of the TV and looked toward her students.
"It seems that the Kira killings have become a real distraction lately. I hope that none of you are doing anything bad" she sighed.
Then the classroom door opened and a male student with light brown hair and light brown eyes stepped inside.
"You're late yet again, Yagami-Kun..." said Mrs. Urashima. The student smiled.
"Sorry Urashima-Sensei. I had a bit of trouble getting here" he said handing her a tardy pass.
