Getting old.... ;p
Yawn. So tired… anyway…

Heh, quite possible this might turn out to be a long post, so bare with me folks…

So Sunday was my birthday. And what a day it was! Lol

It really started on the Saturday, when one Tony Weaver turned up at my place of work. We had a drink and then headed back to my place. Slept for a few hours then got up on Sunday at 5:30 AM, got into Clarissa, my 20 year old Nissan Micra automobile, and set off. Our destination: HEATHROW AIRPORT!

After about an hour, and many comedic songs, on the road, we arrived at the airport and promptly picked up one Amber Fluekiger, a long time friend of mine who hails from the state of Tennessee, and returned home.

So yah, basically Amber is staying in England for a week with Tony, but they were kind enough to hang with me on my birthday. We went bowling and we went to the park across the road from me. And we did a lot of driving. Poor Clarissa is quite worn out! i did go a little crazy in her though… there was one point on the way home from the airport where we were driving over 100 mph! Let me just explain this briefly: my car is almost the same age I am. She has the aero-dynamic properties of a brick and a small engine. She’s manual gear box with 4 forward gears and one reverse. Her Speedometer dial only goes up to 100 mph…and the needle was going beyond that! admittedly we were going down hill at the time, but I still think that’s pretty impressive for an old rust bucket. ^^ AND on the infamous M25 ring-road, which is notorious for being congested often. Heh, we even got into a road battle with one guy who just couldn’t seem to be able to face being overtaken by a crappy old car, and thusly illegally undertook us and thus started a small overtake/undertake battle. Oh, and we did some Drifting too. Y’know. For fun. (accident actually, but I handled it well I thought…)

The bowling was fun. We got to the alley just after it opened, so we practically had the place to ourselves. And we were all pretty bad bowlers. So I was happy to actually win both games. XD

Here’s us bowling…

heh heh, caught amber by surprise, though it turned out to be a pretty good photo

the man with pink balls…What?!

In the afternoon I took them to the station so they could catch a train to London, and then another train to the hotel they were due to stay in for the night, and then today they were supposed to be heading back to Tony’s place for the week.

In the evening my family took me out for dinner at Sidcup Place, a restaurant we frequent. I had chicken with bacon and cheese for main and profiteroles for dessert. And a budwiser beer to go with. XD

I was really tired on my birthday though, mainly cuz I had been up since 5:30 AM and had done a boat-load of driving. I fell asleep just before we left for dinner. ^^;

As for pressies, I got a whole bunch of interesting stuff that surprised me. The thing was, I didn’t know what I wanted for my birthday, so people had to think up of something original.
Here’s my swag list:

A silver Hip-Flask from my brothers, as well as a John Barrowman CD and a small book called Peanuts (as in Snoopy and Charlie Brown) guide to life Part 2 (cuz they couldn’t find part one!)

From my aunt I got a space pen, i.e a pen that can work upside down, underwater, in space, in extreme heat and cold, and has several other functions too.

And from my parents I got a really uber posh Gentleman’s Shaving Kit and Leather Wash Bag. Which was really nice. It’s so nice, I don’t wanna use it! I wanna keep it in pristine condition!!

Oh, and my parents got me one other thing too:

oh yes TimeChaser. You can be jealous now.

A remote controlled Dalek from the sci-fi show Doctor Who! This thing amuses me no end. XD

So yeah, my birthday was pretty sweet all in all. Thank you to all who wished me a happy birthday, and to those of you who didn’t, ah well, I probably forgot yours too.

Stay tuned for the next post coming from me. I have been a pondering and a thinking and a contemplating for a while now, and I have a bit more to do before I make any final decisions. But the next post may come with a big choice that will affect me and my art this year. stay tuned!

I’ll finish off this post with pictures of my new MG Zaku IIS ver.2 I put together on New Years Day.

the obligatory *realism* shot

The ver.2 Zaku kit has about a hundred-plus more parts to it than the original Zaku kit did, and thusly is slightly heavier, and infinitely more poseable than my original version Zaku. In fact, I’d even go as far to say that it’s the most poseable MG kit I own…in fact, the most poseable model kit I own…

I present my own version of Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker. Wikipedia it if you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Zaku in deep thought.

LOVE! AND PEACE!

Zaku chilling making the V sign! VICTOLY!

THAT’S ENOUGH! PLEASE!

No more pictures, PLEASE!

Heh heh, I am a nerd. ;p

Well, I hope you all have having a great start to the new year. my condolences to Ikuu-Nyuu-Kon who has to move AGAIN so soon after moving in, but I'm glad you have found a new place to live already. And best new years wishes to you all.
