On Grapejuice, raisins, and the ephermality of meaning.
You may have been confused by my last post, all that crap happened so long ago that it no longer affects me, and I am free to view it objectivly.
First, grapes. A grape is a delicious little fruit that can be made into a variety of products. Like raisins and juice. And these products, almost without exception, suck! Grapes are great, love 'em, raisins, however, are tiny little shriveled pieces of fruit that suck in all good things and slowly twist them into evil things. Wine, is not a good beverage, about the best thing that can be said for most wines is "It'll get ya drunk." Though I am not so witless as to say ALL wine is bad, just most of the ones I have the opportunities to sample.
But beyond these poitless meanderings! It is interesting to note that in our language, a range of over 5,000 complex emotions can be conveyed, and a simple thing such as the addition of stress for half-a-second while saying a word can change its meaning completely. So how do we have a successful wirtten language? I have sent more than a few pieces of written correspondance in my day, and many of them have been misinterpreted due to a misread or misunderstood line. Yet, when trying to lie in script, one can be discovered while the other party blithly beleives that was the point of your missive. And interesting connudrum..
Yeah, I'm just wasting time before I get to work on a writing project, it's not hard, I'm just lazy...*sigh*
