Ahhh......freedom
The sky seems to be lightening over the small, half-built cottage. Starflower opens the door and walks over to slump against the tree with Meru as the black bobcat takes a more pondering route, making sure to close the door behind her. The lynx decidedly lies down on a patch of grass in front of the cottage and looks at you. The cat's green eyes seem a little brighter, especially in the sunrise, and she stretches as she greets you. "Well, hello. What brings visitors to my little territory, especially so soon? I had no idea that leaving my boyfriend would cause such a hullaballoo."

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYBODY!!!!!
It is night now on the construction site. Meru, for some reason, is sitting outside. She seems to be asleep, however, upon approach, Meru opens an eye and speaks to you. "They finished the first couple rooms, the foyer and main, but noone's allowed inside until they finish installing a crystal ball. DarkLynx9701 just had the idea to install one, so it would be easier to see her stories." This last remark is punctuated by a flash of light from the window with a loud ZAP. A small sweatdrop forms on Meru's forehead. "It might be awhile."

The darkness is beginning to lift.
Hello, everyone. This is a nonstory post for once, so please read carefully. I'm sorry I haven't been around lately, I honestly haven't been feeling my mental and spiritual best these past months. I am starting to feel much much better though. As to what is going to happen to my stories, they will continue. I will most likely alternate between sections of each one, although "The Falling Star" will still be prevalent. With a little work, the next splurg of that will be here for everyone to read within a week. Thanks for listening, everyone.

*twitch*
The site, which has been desolate for a past time, seems to be gaining activity again. While there is very little going on down on the ground, one can finally see Starflower swooping through the sky. She lands in front of you and bows, wings outspread. "We're sorry we haven't been about, everyone. DarkLynx9701 has been busy with tests. We promise we'll be back within a few days." After giving her message, Starflower steps back and takes off again, vanishing into the cloudy blue sky.

I'll bet all of you are wondering how Equus gets in here so easily
And if you're not, well, here's the explanation anyways. *Meru walks up with a large roll of paper under her arm and puts it out on the ground. It's Equus' map.* Now see here, on the western side, where it becomes forest? There is actually a trail there, and it leads here. *DarkLynx9701 points with a claw towards the east, past the cottage.* So Equus and Xihuitl aren't actually too far away.

Another chunk of story.....
Jayson arrived at the village shortly, coughing as he ran straight into the
mist. The grey fog was harmless, but the chill it carried always shocked
him. He slowed to a walk and continued slowly but surely towards the
center of the village. The fog made it impossible to see the ground, but
around the village he could make out the ruins that surrounded it. The sight of the ruins would never cease to amaze him. To him, the outlines and shapes of buildings were so obvious,
and he wondered why no one else seemed to recognize them. Can't they see
it? The glory it was, the glory it can be? We could all rebuild it, if only
they'd listen.
Meanwhile, Queen Serenity glided peacefully through the gardens of her
castle upon the Moon. She stopped, kneeling to gently cup a blossom in her
hands. Hearing someone speak, she stood again and turned. She knew that
voice.

Alrighty then
Here we go. My next post for here will probably be my next section of story, so be warned! I would have been here earlier if I hadn't severely injured my mother's computer. So my sincerest apologies to you all.

With regrets
Unfortunately, I have killed my mother's computer, so my internet access is now extremely limited. The only comfort I can offer all of you is that now I have no excuse to procrastinate.

Okay, here we go people, sorry it's so late.
The Falling Star
Again he waited, another night watching the cloudless, starry sky. When? he wondered. When would the star fall, and Far Kingdom be returned to its former glory?
Slowly, Jayson arose from his place on the hill where he lived, and padded his way down towards the village not too far off, the grey dust of the planet rising in small clouds. He groaned slightly as grit snuck between his toes through the holes in his cloth shoes. It was a bother, but he didn't really mind. There were many more important things to worry about, such as convincing what was left of the people, this small village, about the star's coming.
Clutching the book he always carried with him even more tightly, Jayson quickened his pace. The worn cover of the book glimmered with a hint of gold in the dim light.
As he walked, Jayson remembered stargazing upon that hill with his mother when he was young. They had lived there to escape the mists that cover the valleys and plains of the planet. He remembered her gentle, soothing voice as she pored over that ancient text's crumbling pages with him, teaching him the sounds and letters all that time ago. Finally, he thought of the history as well as the hopeful message it provided for Far Kingdom. What was left of it anyways, he thought bitterly for a moment. Far Kingdom was once, his mother had told him, a beautiful, prosperous place, filled with peace and learning. But now the kingdom was in ruins. The great buildings were demolished, waste and filth lining their alleyways. The people were impoverished and cold, having little to eat and even less good clothing. They did not even have weapons to try to defend themselves from the continuously hunting Magnacrids. Lost in thought, Jayson continued hurrying down, missing the violet-red streak that hurled itself through the sky.
