Nemesis

Oh come to me, thou ever-proud!
Thy prize shall be thy mourning shroud!
Those evil deeds that thou hast done
Shall set as surely as the sun!

To rank and power I am blind,
My justice is the purest kind.
Once earned, my wrath shall never die,
No savior will again come nigh.

My markèd blade shall seek thy blood,
Swept up in rage’s angry flood,
For respite I will know no more,
Until thou fall’st at Hell’s great door.

Though pagan warrior I may be,
Never strive to hide from me.
Shadowed ways and moonless nights
Cannot hide the wicked’s flight.

That which thou dost will come again,
To haunt thy dreams until life’s end.
For bound I am by honor’s hand,
To purge the evil from the land.

So to the damnèd I say this,
For thou, but one true fate exists.
For I am servant to the just,
My vengeance thou mayst always trust.

On the wings of blanchèd night
I’ll bring to thee a cruel blight,
For duty drives me at the core
To work my justice evermore.

For I am Nemesis.

--So what do you guys think? It's for a contest at an artist's website. We're supposed to write a poem to go with one of her pix, and I wrote a poem to go with her pic of the Greek Goddess Nemesis, Goddess of karma and revenge.

You guys are awesome. All my non-internet friends find my predicament kinda funny. (I would probably would too if it weren't me. ^^;)

So, anyway thanx for the sympathy and adive.

Man, readingover my post I sound like such a drama queen. ^^' Thanx for not shooting me. I belive I shall now move on with my life.

PS- Please respond to my below posts. I really do need a theme for my site. I want something completely different. (It seems I tend to go for girls with guns or swords. ^^'). The story is.....amusing I guess. Bleh.

   My ruined life
Soooooooo..........let me give you some background.
Awhile ago I tried out for one of my school's plays. It's called Boyz n' the Hood. (It's a Robin Hood Spoof) Anyway, if I may humbly say so, I nailed the audition. I ended up getting cast as Maid Marion, the female lead. I was really happy. But there's only one thing wong with that. She's the *ahem* main love interst.

How is this horrible you ask? Well, as weird as I know it is for a 16 year-old girl to afmit, but.......I have virgin lips. (*WARNING* tangent ahead: You see I've been reading manga, fantasy, and historical fiction books since I was 7, and the guys who are the love interests in those stories are perfect. Practically gods, if you know what I mean. So when I composed my perfect guy in my head, it was based on all these fake guys, so obviously no one can even come close to matching up. So, isfunctional as it may be I have never had a bf because noguy can match up to man in my head. Though there is this one guy.....but that another story entirely.)

Anyway, as I was saying, I've never kissed anyone before. And wouldn't you know it, but there's a kissing scene between Marion and Robin. Actually, there are 3. But anyway, me and Robin (Not his ral name btw) had just been faking it in practices, and besides that I was sick. But this weak I was pronounced cured and my director pronounced me ready to actually kiss Robin.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was my first reaction, and my second, third, fourth....you get the idea. So, you can tell I was freaked out. then at yesterday's practice we kissed, and there were cat-calls etc. but I thought "Hmmmmm, not quite as bad as I thought" (Though talking to Robin is slightly awkward) But then, Then THEN I get to school and find out that someone took a picture. A PICTURE! And then they texted it to just about EVERYONE. I just hope the guy I mentioned in the tangent up above didn't get it.

So, in a nut shell, my life is ruined. I think i may take up extreme sprots........
