pressure's off
i had the duet thing this morning, so, naturally, i could hardly sleep last night. Andrew and i did pretty good, we got a 2 (for those of you who don't know what that means, it's the second highest rating you can get. it's like getting a B on your report card). the pressure was kind of lessened when Andrew told me about the solo he had earlier in the morning. he had bombed it. he showed it to me when he took his mom's carmera when she and my mom went to look for my dad. it sucked, but it gave me a much needed laugh. he was kind of upset because he had gotten a 2, and it was his first time getting lower than a 1, but after that he told me that it was just for fun, that it didn't matter anymore. i was still really nervous, but it did help. we only got a 2 because i had fallen out of a couple of the really high notes and couldn't get back in the music. THANKS FOR THE MOTIVATION FORLORNHOPE!!
