Order of the phoenix (not Harry potter)


"My life hasn’t been a pleasant one. The solders of the chaos dragon killed my parents. Maybe I should start from the beginning. 60 years ago a dragon of treble power reigned supreme. He destroyed all that laid before him. Our only hope was if 3 brave warriors gathered the six stones of power. With the combined power of fire, water, thunder, wind, light, and darkness the sacred Phoenix of the sacred flame was called. For 7 days a fierce battle waged. On the night of the 7th day the dragon was herld into the sea. In the hopes he would never awaken. As a gift for saving their people the phoenix in fused the warriors with the elements. They were the new guardians of the Earth. 30 years passed without any evil. But during those years something unexpected happened. When the powers were to the next generation, 3 of the powers left to fined their own hosts. Peace reigned for 30 more years. But our happiness was not to last. The dragon Mashin was not slain but sleeping. His followers the tribes of oni were trying to revive him. The only thing that can stop them now is if the powers of the phoenix rise to face this threat. Only one problem though. I don't know where the others are. After I was given the powers of fire in the form of my great grandfathers gauntlets. I set out on a quest to find the others. Not 2 days past after I left when the Oni tribe attack my home. They were after me, my powers. After searching for 2 years I decided to go home. My house was burned down and my parents... I'd rather not say. Now I live in an ally near the high school I attend. Maybe I could find some clues to the others where a bouts. Trust me I got more than I bargind for. My name is Sano Yuroto 'Phoenix of Fire'. And this is my part of our story."


Chapter 1: My name is Sano
RING! RING! RING! It had been 4 months since I returned to school and I still hate that damn bell. My first class is English was Ms.Koyomi Mizara. "Good morning class," she said. "GOOD MORNING YOMI-SENSEI!" everyone but me said. "We have a new student joining the us today. Please come in Mizono-san" the door opened and an angel walked in. "Hello, my name is Kira Mizono. Its nice to meet you all." She had a beautiful voice. "Mizono-san please take a seat next to ..." GLARE. She glared hard at me. She saw me blushing. "Yuroto-san! You can sit next to him," she said. I thought. Kira sat next to me. "Hee." She smiled at me. My face turned redder than a radish. < I hope I can make it through class. > RINNNNNNG!!! Class finally ended with me in a pool of sweat. I was in route to my next class when something caught my eye. It was a guy who had a girl pinned to some lockers. It was the school dimwit and bully Jonuku. I felt sorry for the girl pinned. I looked harder to see who it was. It was ... KIRA! That was the last straw. He messed with lots of girls before but this was Kira's first day.

I walked to him. I could hear what he was saying. "So today's your first day. Well you're goin' to need protection. So if you’re my girlfriend than you won't have to." Jonuko said." But I..."Kira started. " I won't take no for an answer." "Hey! Let her go! NOW!"I called. "Who's goin' to make m-" BAM!!! I socked him in the face. He instantly let her go. "Kira, get out of here now!" I said. "But," she started. BAMMM! I got hit in the face. Jonuko's fist came out of nowhere. "Your going down 'hero'," he said. He punched me 12 times. I was bleeding from my mouth. < Time to get to work. > I thought. Hidden in my body given to me by my father. "YOUR DEAD!!" Jonuko was about to hit. "Fenikkusu kaihen!"

My body burst into flames. Jonuko stopped in mid punch.” NOW YOU'LL SEE A HERO." I said glaring at him. As the flames to vanish my body changed. My school cloths had changed to new ones. My shirt changed to a white tee shirt with red sleeves and a red bird on my chest. My pants were dark red jeans. My shoes were boots. Black with a flame pattern on the sides. On my back were the weapons of my great grandfather. His Fire Sword and Flame Shield. Last to change was my hair and eyes. My hair turned flame red and so did my eyes. I was complete. Everyone just stared at me. Jonuko must of all. "That's just a dumb trick. I'm still goin' to kill you," he said. "Bring it if you can dork," I said. He ran at me and punched me in the face. It didn't faze me. I grabbed his fist. " Now this is a punched," I said. I wound up and punched him. He flew at least 20 feet. He looked up at me. "My name is Sano. Know it and fear it." I changed back and went to class. End of chapter 1


Chapter 2: Beaten not stirred
Crap. I forgot how fast news travels in school. By the time I made it to my next class the rumors were just flying'. 1 was that I'm an alien from another planet. Another was that I'm a science project gone wrong. I got through the day with new looks from people. Most freaked out. Girls looked at me and giggled. Guys stared at me like I had 4 heads. I made my way back to my home. As you know my house is gone, so I sleep in an alley. After reflecting on the day I sat down and went to sleep. In my dream I was standing on the hill near my house. I slowly started to go home when out of nowhere the house exploded into flames. All I could do was watch in horror. As the flames grew a large figure emerged. It was in the shape of a dragon.
The dragonish like creature glared at me and lunged. Before it swallowed me I woke up.

I was in a cold sweat when I woke up, but something was wrong. My arms, legs and mouth were tied and gagged. I didn't understand. That’s when I saw Jonuko and his goons. They were looking through my bag. " Find those damn gloves before he wakes up," he said. I wriggled out of my mouth bindings. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?," I called. "Oh you woke up, huh? Well all I wanted was those gloves you used on me. That’s all I want and we'll leave you alone," he said. "Well my answer is no. And there not gloves there gauntlets, punk," I told him. "Well if it’s going to be like that then I have no choice." He walked over and punched me in the face. "Now tell me where they are. Before I get pissed off." "Never in a million years, you piece of gutter trash." I said. All that happened next was he balled up his fist and ....................


.................. Ughhhh. Oh man. What happened? I most have gotten knocked out. " Are you ok? You’ve been knocked out for 4 hours, a voice called out. When I finally came to, I couldn't see out of my left eye. My head was covered in bandages. I looked around with my right eye. I was in a pretty fancy house. I was on a futon in the living room apparently. " Who are you, and why would you help a no one like me?" I asked. " To me your not a no one. You saved me not 10 hours ago. Did you forget me that quickly? My name is Kira,” she said. Oh snap that was her. My face turned red again. " Umm thank you for helping me." I said nervously. She giggled like a kid. "That’s ok besides we have a bit in common." she said.” What do you mean?" I asked. She stood up. "Fenikkusu kaihen!" she yelled.

Chapter 3: Kira's Secret
"HUH?????" that's all I could say. Kira was one of the 5 I was looking for. I mean I knew she was special, but not that special. She was transforming. It was so cool. When she changed water surrounded her. She changed the water into rings that circled her body. The water created a column around her.

As the column of water dropped her Phoenix clothes appeared. Her school skirt changed to blue jeans. Her school shirt was now a white t-shirt with blue sleeves. On her chest was a blue bird with wings that looked like water drops. On her hips she had a pair of daggers on her belt. On her arms she had gauntlets that were dark blue. Her hair turned from brown to navy blue. And her eyes turned from hazel to blue. She was finished.

" So, what do you think?" she asked. " So beautiful," I said. She laughed. " Thank you," she said. < Oh crap I say that out loud! > I thought. < Change the subject! > " So how did you get your powers?" I asked. " Well they were given to me by my mother. Before she died. Hey why were you in that ally anyway?" she asked.

I explained to her my own sad story. To me it wasn't sad. I had accepted the fact that my family and house was gone. But apparently that wasn't the case with her. She was crying. When I finished she was baling' like a baby. She ran up and hugged me. And once again my face went bright red. " So what are you going to now? I mean you don't have a real home," she said. " Well I guess I'll go back to the ally. Now that I know your one of the Phoenix I'll have to protect you to the best of my abilities. So don't worry about m-," I said but was cut off. She stood up came over to me and glared at me. " Your going to say here and train me so you won't have to fight not on your own," she said. " No, I couldn't impose on-," " YOUR STAYING HERE! YOU GOT THAT?!?" she yelled. "Yes ma'am," I said. " Now that that’s been decided what are we going to call ourselves?" she asked. "Why should we have a name?" I asked her. " Because we should have one. Any objections?" she said cracking her knuckles in my direction. " No no. So what do you have in mind?" I asked. " Well how about the 'Order of the Phoenix'?" she asked. " Ok with me," I said. I just didn't want to get hit. "Ok then that matter is decided as well. We and the others soon to be found are 'The order of the Phoenix'," she said

and now the real fight starts with the order of the Phoenix.

Chapter 4: Thunder's roar
it has been a week since I moved in with Kira. I mean don't get me wrong I like living here, but she can be a little scary. 2 days ago she blasted me for not doing my chores. Since I lived in the ally so long some of my habits haven't died yet. For example, I still sleep with my back against a wall. And the fact that every night I go outside and train. I have to be quiet though. Because Kira is still a sleep in her room.

This morning was no different. I woke up I my normal way, against a wall. But there was something different with this morning. There was something curled up next to me. It was warm and in a blanket. I looked down to see what it was. It was Kira. She must have curled up next to me while I was asleep. My face light up again. I must have really been red because I was sweating. She woke up and caught me staring at her. "Good morning Sano-chan," she said with a smile. "Ummm good morning Kira-san. Why did you call me 'chan'?" I asked. " Hee hee. Because you’re my little Sano. Besides you were the first friend I had in a new place," she answered. Now I knew m face was red. " Today's Saturday right?" she asked. "Yeah, today is Saturday. Why?" I asked. "Because we're going shopping for cloths for you," she said. "But I like my cloths. Why should I get-"."You’re getting some new cloths and your going to like it," she said with an evil glare in her eyes. "OK."

Why do girls love to shop? I pondered this as we walked down a street. And an even more pressing question was this: who did she make me her pack mule? She had all of one thing in her hand and that was a credit card. Me on the other hand was not so lucky. I had the honor of carrying all the bags. Then out of nowhere, I got this weird feeling. Like I was being shocked with an electrical current. Kira saw me stop in my tracks. " Are you ok Sano-chan?" she asked. " Yeah I'm fine," I answered. " Good because we have 7 more stores to hit." "Why so many?" I asked. " Because you need the cloths. You mostly wear your school uniform everywhere you go. You need an image." "But what if I don't want an image? What if I just want to be me?" I asked. "That’s why we're getting you cloths. So you can be you in a more relaxed setting." She really thought this out.

It was about 6 P.M when we finally called it a day. We were at the park where the cherry blossom trees grow. I sat there and let my mind wonder. I watched the pink blossoms as they were carried off in the wind. A gentle breeze blew and created a chibi tornado. It was a very peaceful scene. But it was not to last. That feeling I had gotten came back with vengeance. This time it was paralyzing me. It made me grunt and groan like I had drunk bad milk. At hearing this Kira came running towards me.

" Sano-chan are you okay?" she asked. " Something is coming. I can feel it. I don't know if it’s good or bad but it’s strong," I said panting. Kira glared at me. "What? What’s wrong? Did I sit in something?" I asked. "Maybe it’s an old girlfriend that you had before you meet me," she said. " What type of warped logic is that Kira-san? I never had a girlfriend!!!" I yelled. I looked over her shoulder. " I think I know w
what the problem is. Look behind you."

They were snot-green, clawed, and looked like a goblin. These were La~Rak. The foot solders of the chaos dragon. The ones who killed my parents and burned my home. They were going to pay for what they did. "Sano-chan, you’re to weak to fight these guys. I'll fight them instead," Kira said. "Are you nuts? You haven't fought against these guys before. I won't let you fig-" The felling got even worse than before.

KABOOOOOOOOOM!!!!! Thunder sounded in the distance. But it was weird because there was no rain. KABOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!! It sounded again. Then a bolt of lightning hit right in front of the heard of La~Rak. As the lightning faded there was a figure in the blast zone. It was a boy. He looked like he couldn’t be more then 14 or 15. He had blonde hair, was wearing a white tee shirt with yellow sleeves much like mine in Phoenix form. I looked at his arms. He was wearing gauntlets much like Kira’s and mine. So he was one of us. He stared down the on coming heard. Like the lightning he came from, his hands went from his side to his back in no time flat. He grabbed a pair of twin katana. All at once he slashed at the air in an x shaped motion. In an instant there was an x shaped electrical shock wave sent strait at the La~Rak. The instant it hit them, they were killed.

The boy looked over at Kira and me. " You 2 should go. That is unless you want the same thing to happen to you. You guys are just in the way," He said. Kira was enraged to a point of no return. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOUR CALLING IN THE WAY!?! I WAS ABOUT TO TAKE THEM OUT!" She yelled. He walked up and slapped her. That tore it in both of us. "SANO-CHAN! LETS GO PHOENIX AND TAKE THIS PUNK DOWN!!!" She was really angry. " Yes ma'am." We both said in perfect sync, "Fenikkusu kaihen!" We were transformed and ready to kick his but. "Whoa, you 2 are Phoenix too?" he asked. "Yeah. I kind of guessed you were to when I saw your gauntlets. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sano Yuroto. The Fire Phoenix. The woman to my left who wants to see you dead is Kira Mizono. What's your name stranger?" I asked. "Hmmm. Its bad manners to not give my name after you gave me yours. It’s Marco Kuna. Phoenix of thunder. Nice to meet you," Marco said. " Do you want to join us in our fight against the chaos that shall befall us soon? It would be helpful." I asked. " Sure, why not," He said. "Cool, but before we shake on it. Kira wants to give you pain." " YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" Kira charged at him with all her speed. After a 20-minute beating, Marco and I shock hands. Now there were three of us.

Chapter 5: One of the wind
For those of you who have been hiding under a rock this is what you have missed. 1 my name is Sano Yuroto, the first Phoenix member. 2 my new classmate Kira Mizono is also a Phoenix member, but she controls water while I control fire. 3 we just meet the third Phoenix member Marco. He controls Lightning. We all live at Kira's house near the school Kira and I go to. And now we pick the story up with a regular night at Kira's.

"Hey Sano-chan?" Kira asked. "Yes, what is it Kira-san?" I answered. "Can you teach me how to fight?" "Why are you asking me?" I asked her back. " Because you and Marco can't do all the fighting. I want you to know I'm more than just a pretty face," she said. " Besides, you look lonely when you train at night." " Ugh... thanks for the concern, but I do just fine by myself Kira-san," I said. " By the way Sano-san, I need a sparing partner. And you need a sparing partner, too. Your solo training can only go so far. So invest in us being your disciples." "Oh alright. I'll make you 2 my students. Just don't call me "sensei" got it?" I asked. " Yes sir! We will sir!" they said.


In about a week’s time they were wiped into shape. Kira was a speedster. She used her control of water to increase her speed quite nicely. Marco was also very fast. The thing he was good at was his reflex. They were so fast you could hardly see his hands when he strikes. Me on the other hand had practiced some forms of flame manipulation. Now we were working on original moves. " Hey Sano-chan, watch my new attack. Rapid Falls Assault!" Her body soon became watery until she was somewhat solid. She suddenly ran at somewhat blinding speeds. She went down a line of targets I set up slashing as she went. After 3 seconds she was at the end of the lines. Then they all started to explode. "Whoa," I said. "That's nothing. Watch this! Thunder YO-YO!" Marco shouted. He combined his 2 katana and sent an electrical current through them. Then he hurled his weapon at a string of targets. But instead of flying away, they came back to him. He had a sort of chain-attached t his weapon. Making it come back to him. "Not to bad. But watch thi-" I started. Then a strange felling came over me. It was like a breeze that only I could feel. It wasn't like a breeze but I can't really explain it. "Sano-chan, what's wrong?" Kira asked. "Oh, ugh nothing Kira-san," I answered. " Hey, something's falling. It's a bird. Sano-chan catch it before it hits the ground," Kira called. I lined my self up with the bird. Then I noticed something. It was not a bird even though it had wings. It looked more like a girl. As it got closer I realized it was a girl. "Oh boy." BAMMMMMMMMM! I caught it. And it was a girl. " She most have fallen out of a plain or something'," Marco said. " I think she's a little more unique than hat. Look." I pointed at her arms, as she lay limp in my arms. She was wearing gauntlets like ours. "Let's get her inside."

It was 2 hours before she woke up. "Where am I? Who are you? And are you the ones that attacked me?" she asked. "In order: 1:your at Kira's house. 2: I'm Sanosuka, that's Kira, and he's Marco. 3: no we did not attack you," I answered. "You must be wondering why I was in the sky huh?" she asked. "Not really," I answered. She looked at my own gauntlets. "What's your name? If I may ask," I said. "Oh, my name is Kagome Mikono. Are you the one who caught me?" Kagome asked. "Yes, it was me," I said. She ran up and hugged me. My face was red like an apple. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!?" Kira shouted. "I'm thanking Sano-kun for saving me," Kagome said. She went to kiss me on the lips. Then I heard something. A slight humming sound. Like something was coming. "Everyone get down!" I shouted. Then giant needles tore through the windows and walls. We all hit the ground to evade the shoots. "Can Kagome come out to play?" an impish voice said.

Chapter 6: Battle of the bugs
"You guys stay here. I'll check to see whets out there," I said. "No Sano-san. You can't fight an enemy by yourself," Marco said. "That’s right you have us, too. You don't have to fight on your own, Sano-chan," Kira piped in. " You helped me so I'll help too, Sano-kun," Kagome said getting off the coach. " Alright then. Let's go," I said. We all went outside to see what had shot at us. In the air were these bee-like creatures hovering in mid-air. They are call La~ra~ka. It would bee hard to fight them in the air. But I had a plan. " Everyone suit up!" I called. "Fenikkusu kaihen!" We all shouted. During my transformation I looked over to the others. Marco had summoned Lightning bolts to surround his body and electrify him. The lightning struck his hands and revealed his gauntlets. It him on the back and stayed there to make his twin katana. One more giant bolt hit his body to completely change him. Then I looked over to Kagome. She whipped up a whirlwind around herself. The wind looked like it was blowing the pieces on to her body. The first thing to go on was her shirt. It was white with gray sleeves. Her pants turned gray with the on going wind. 2 small whirlwinds formed around her arms. They tightened around her arms until they became her gauntlets. The last thing to show up was her weapon. They just came down from the sky. She caught them with perfect accuracy. They were a pair of twin blades. Much like the kind you hold with the blades facing your body. We all finished our transformations and were ready to fight. "This should be an easy victory," their leader said. "My orders were to take this legion of monsters and kill the Phoenix of the wind. But apparently I got lucky and found 4 of you filthy Phoenix." " You can try to kill us but you won't get to far with me in your way," I said. These guys are my comrades in arms and I won't let you claim their lives. Marco-san, can you take out their wings with an electrical surge?" I asked. "Of course I can!" He said. He drew his katana and made an x-shaped slash in the air. The resulting shock wave neutralized their wings. "Even without our wings we're still deadly," the leader said. " Lets go!" I called. And the Fight was on.










I was the first to make a kill. The battle was starting to intensify. " Hey you guys, the one who kills the most gets the master bedroom for a month," Marco said. "Sounds good," Kira answered. "Ok by me," Kagome said. " Fine," I said. " Then let me make the first move. THUNDER YO-YO!" Marco yelled. He did what he was training at. He threw his combined katana around him. Clearing out any thing in its path. "That's 50. Top that!" he yelled. " If you insist. RAPID FALLS ASSULT!" Kira yelled. Her body liquefied. She ran at mach speeds and cleaned out any thing that looked like an enemy. " That was 100 if you were keeping track," Kira bragged. "That’s nothing. Watch my TEMPEST TWISTER!" Kagome yelled. She started spinning until she was a twister. She sucked in all the remaining LA~ra~ka. As they entered they were swiftly were diced into small pieces and scattered to the wind. " Ha 200," she said. "Looks like I get the master bedroom." "As the saying goes 'don't count your chickens before they hatch.' This fight isn't. I can summon more." The leader than chanted some words. Then at least 300 La~ra~ka appeared. " I'll settle this. Guys get behind me. Kira-san can you hold my shield?" I asked. "Ok," she answered. As soon as she grabbed it, she dropped it. "Jeez. This thing weighs a ton," she said. "Actually its 2 tons," I clarified. "You lug around this heavy shield and are that fast?" Marco asked. "Yup. It’s a weighted training device. It can also get lighter if I will it. Watch." I said. Instantly the shield got lighter. " Now then. On to business. FLAMING TRI-SLASH!" I yelled. I concentrated all my fire abilities into my sword. It became engulfed in fire. With a swift movement my blade hit the ground. The instant it hit 3 claws like waves of fire sprang forth from the ground. They eradicated everything with a heat signature in their path. They completely wiped out the La~ra~ka and their leader. I lifted my sword and rested it on my shoulder. "So I killed 301. I win," I said. " That was amazing Sano-chan!" Kira shouted. " Thanks. I've been practicing that move for months. Kagome-san?" " Yes Sano-kun?" she asked. "Would you like to fight with us and live here? I promise you'll always be protected," I said. "Well if your the one protecting me, than sure. And if she stops glaring at me." I looked over. Kira Had "Death to Kagome" written all over her face. "Kira-san, stop that."

At that time I felt something strange. Like an overwhelming darkness was near us. But as soon as I felt it, it disappeared. What was it?

Chapter 7: Dual: Kira vs. Kagome
It was morning, 3 weeks after our first real battle. Marco and I were talking about various sword styles. " I'm telling you katanas beat Regular blades every time," Marco said. " No way can a katana beat my blade," I said. " You want to settle this outside?" he said. "Is that a challenge?" I asked. "You know it Sano-ku-" BAMMMMMMMM!!!! We both looked in the direction of the bedrooms. "HE DOSE NOT!!!" one voice yelled. "YES HE DOSE AND I'LL PROVE IT!" the other voice said. Both Kira and Kagome came storming out of the bedroom and stared at me like I did something wrong. " How can I help you girls?" I asked with sweat dripping down my face. "Sano-chan who do you like more? Me or her?" Kira asked me with a serious expression. "Why are you asking me that? I mean in no one," I said. "Because we both want you to be our best friend and only one of us can have you," Kagome said. I thought. "ANSWER US," they yelled. " What you goin to do Sano-kun?" Marco asked. "Umm..ugh... Look a bird!” I shouted I thought . "Where? Where" they both looked away. I made a hasty escape out of the house. " Sigh that was way to close for comfort. Now what?" I said walking down the street. "SANO!!!!!!" I heard Kira and Kagome yell. I ran as fast as I could down the street to my old alley. I had to think. I fell asleep again. and had my same nightmare. When I woke up this time Marco was sitting across from me. " You finally woke up. It was pure chaos when I left to look for you. They really like you," Marco said. I got up " Yeah. I know. But why me?" I asked. " I don't know man," Marco said. " Hey Sano-kun? Could you show me where you use to live?" Marco asked. " Ok, I'll take you," I said. We made our way to my house, well where it use to be. and when we got there we saw the girls again. "Sano-chan told me this is where he use to live. It's sad. In a single day his parents and his house. It's really sad," Kira said. Kagome glared at Kira. "You know Sano-kun likes me more then you," she said. Kira went into a fit of rage. " NO HE DOSEN'T!!!" she yelled. " YS HE DOES!!!" Kagome yelled. Marco and I saw them. "Ughhhh." I groaned. "Sano-kun, look," Marco said. "KIRA-SAN, I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUAL!!! WINNER GETS SANO-KUN!" Kagome yelled. "I ACCEPT!" Kira yelled back. They transformed and the fight was on.
Kira started the match with a lot of swift strikes with her daggers. But Kagome was equally fast with her twin blades. The sky was lit up with the clashing of their blades. Kagome and Kira were scratched and worn-out from fighting. They were both determined to win. I couldn't bear to shut down ether of them if they settled this fight. the Kagome pulled a fast one. "Phoenix Ryu: Wings of the Phoenix!" she yelled. She hunched over and sprouted wings. Se then took to the sky. " HA! Now I have the advantage," she said. " Don't underestimate me. I'll just do what you did. Phoenix Ryu: Wings of the Phoenix!" she also sprouted wings and took to the sky. Then the dual resumed. "THAT'S ENOUGH!" I shouted at them. " Sano-kun," "Sano-chan," Kira and Kagome said. "IF YOU TWO KEEP FIGHTING I'LL MOVE OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!" I yelled. "WHAT?" they yelled back. "SO IF YOU WANT ME TO STAY STOP FIGHTING!" " OK!" they yelled. After an hour and things cooled down we were back at Kira's place. "groan," I groaned. "Sano-kun, you goin to be alright?" Marco asked. I glared at him. "No, I'm not," I answered. Kira and Kagome were on both my sides and pulling on my arms. "Sano-kun let's go to a movie!" Kagome said. "Sano-chan, lets go for a walk," Kira asked. At this rate I'll die an early death.

Chapter 8: A rival appears
Morning. To escape the chaos of last night I ended up sleeping on the ruff of the house. Both Kira and Kagome are cute, but they’re crazier than catfish at this point. I don't want to choose between them. A friendship is all I want for now. I decided to reflect on the events f the last 3 months. Meeting Kira, having a home now, Marco and Kagome living here, and our first real battle against chaos. Along with the knowledge that we can sprout wings. Then I remembered a journal my father had wrote for me when I found the other Phoenix. I jumped down and went inside to get it out of my room. That’s when I saw Kagome in the living room. "Good morning Sano-kun," she said. "Oh, good morning Kagome-san. How are you this morning?" I asked. "Tired. Marco-kun and I have somewhere to go this morning. He already left," she said. "Oh, where are you 2 going?" I asked. "That’s our little secret," she said winking at me. "OK. I got to get ready for school, so I'll see you later," I said heading to my room. "See ya," she said.

Later on I made it to school a little early. I decided to go get something to eat before school started. In the lunchroom a familure voice called out to me. One I despised. "Yo, Sano-bozu! You little punk, how'd you like the beating me and my boys gave you?" Jonuku said. "Thought for sure your little punk ass was dead. That’s how we left ya." "Beat it you pathetic excuse of a human. Before something bad happens to you," I barked back. "You must have been in a coma or something' cause you forgot I'm stronger than you ever will be!" Jonuku said about to swing at me. I caught his fist without any difficulty. "You call that a punch? This is a punch!" I said as I decked him. "Boys, get him!" Jonuku yelled. His to thugs ran p to me about to hit me. In one swift move I grabbed one of them, leapt over, and did a split kick that hit them both in the face. As they dropped, I landed on my feet. "But how? You’re not wearing those gloves. So how did you do that?" he asked. "Lets just say I've been training since the last time we meet. Now beat before I get mad. Your to weak to fight me," I said. I walked to the hall and ran into Kira. "Hi Sano-chan. Word is you just took down Jonuku and his friends without even trying," she said. "That was fast. It just happened," I said. "Hey did you know our class is getting some new students?" Kira asked me. "Ya, lets go to class to meet them," I said.

We made it to class before it started. "Good morning class," Yomi-sensei said. "Good morning Yomi-sensei!" the class said. "We have a special surprise today. We have 2 new classmates joining us today. Please come in," Yomi-sensei said to the door. And in walked 2 people Kira and I were familure with. "SANO-KUN!!!" Kagome shouted. Everyone just stared at me for a good 5 minutes. "Let me introduce Kagome Mikono-san and Marco Kuno-san. Please sit where ever you want to," Yomi-sensei said. Kagome sat right next to me while Marco sat behind me. This was good. With Kira on my right and Kagome on my left, I'll be surprised if I get any work done.

During class, Jonuku was wondering the halls. "DAMN THAT SANO! WHO DOSE HE THINK HE IS BEATING ME AND MY BOYS LIKE THAT! I'LL GIVE ANYTHING TO HAVE HIM LYING AT MY FEET DEAD!" he shouted. a voice said. "Who are you and what do you want?" Jonuku asked. < That’s not the topic right now. Do you want him dead? > the voice said. "More than anything," Jonuku said. < Then there is something you have to do for me, > the voice said. "Alright what do you want?" At that the ground beneath Jonuku opened and a large claw grabbed him and pulled him in. While that was going on we had a video t watch in class. It was so boring that even the teacher was asleep. I would have been if Kira and Kagome weren't asleep on my shoulders. I was really red now. Because they were so beautiful while they slept. Then an I heard a low rumbling. Then a trimmer hit our classroom. Everyone woke up, screamed, and ran out of the room. Everyone but Marco, Kagome, Kira, and myself. "Marco-san, this trimmer is not natural. It’s only effecting this classroom," I said. Then the ground opened up. A figure standing on a rising pillar came out of the opening. "Hahaha! Sano-bozu, nice to see you again," the figure said. "Who are you and what do you want?" I asked. "My name is Jonuku: Dragon of Earth," Jonuku said. "You use to be Jonuku. What happened to you?" I asked. "Beat me in a fight and I'll tell you," he said. "Marco-kun get the girls out of here now. I'll take this guy," I said. "But Sano-" the girls began. "GO!" I yelled. With tears in their eyes, Kira and Kagome ran from the room with Marco behind them. "You want a fight, I'll give you a fight. Fenikkusu kaihen!" I transformed and my fight was on.

Chapter 9: Showdown: Sano vs. Jonuku
this is what happened so far. My name is Sano. My friends and I have supernatural powers given to us by a sacred bird. And now I'm locked in combat with a dude who use to steal kids lunch money just for kicks. He also has powers, but his are from an evil dragon. Needless to say, I'm in over my head. Jonuku had a better understanding of his powers than I had over my own. He could actually create things out of Earth. For example, he is currently throwing large pillars of clay at me. Lucky for me I was fast. I managed to duck and dodge them for a time. Then out of nowhere my left arm was pierced with stone arrows. I looked up to find Jonuku standing atop a giant pillar with his right arm stretched out. On his arm was a crossbow. With my left arm un-useable, I was forced to drop my shield. The only thing left was my sword. And without my left arm I couldn't perform my signature move, the flaming tri-slash. "Are you done fighting already Sano-bozu? I expected more from you," Jonuku said. "I haven't even begun to fight," I called back. I dropped my sword so I could pull the arrows from my arm. I picked up my shield and kept fighting.

About ten yards away Kira and the gang were watching. "We have to help him! I'm going in!" Kira yelled. Marco held her back. "No! We have to let Sano-kun fight on his own! Kagome-san don't get any Ideas that your going ether." Kagome nodded and kept watching. Back at the fight, I was in a jam. My left and right arms rendered useless by arrows and spikes that were driven into them. "DAMN IT!' I yelled. "What's the matter? You were doing so well. But I guess that anyone could have been unprepared for a spike from behind," Jonuku sneered. He walked over to me. I was bloody and on my knees. My energy was nearly gone. He picked my head up and looked me in the eyes. I just glared at him. He slapped me. "HOW COULD YOU THINK YOU WERE EVER MORE POWERFUL THAN I?" he yelled. He than coated his arms and hands in grantee and proceeded to wail on me. "Your pathetic, you know that? You were always a maverick. Someone who never fit in. Then when Kira-san arrived everyone saw why. Your nothing more than a freak," he said. Then he looked at my friends. "Ha! maybe I'll have more fun torturing them insted of you." He looked back down at my tattered body. "I'm going to kill you. Physically and emotionally." He began to walk to my friends. I grabbed his leg. "don't... touch..... my...friends," I said weakly. He turned around and kicked me in the face. "You’re always going to be weak," He turned to face me. He formed a spike in his hand. "Now you die. Hmmmmm. On second thought. Why don't I kill them first." He launched two spikes at Kira and Kagome. I saw it happen and knew what had to be done. With the last of my strength, I jumped up Dashed in front of the spikes and intercepted them. Since my arms couldn't move I used my chest.

"SANOOOOOOO!" everyone yelled. "What a waist. I was going to kill him last. Oh well. I'll take you 3 out quick enough." Kira and Kagome ran to my limp body. "GET BACK!!!" I yelled. "But Sano-chan, you can't fight like this," Kira said crying. "She's right Sano-kun. You could die at any minute from the blood lose," Kagome said, also crying. I got up. Bloody and nearly dead. "You attempted to kill the only people who ever gave a damn about my existence. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!!!!!" Then my eyes open wide. They were completely red. The spikes and arrows that were in my arms and chest were forced out in a swift manner. I was transforming. This was different from the change to phoenix. It was a new power that had been unlocked. My body started to pulsate with power. My energy was restored. I couldn't tell you what I looked like from my perspective. But Marco filled me in. He said the sleeves of my shirt were burned off. My hair stood up like it had been gelled. My muscles grew enough to notice the change. My gauntlets fused into my skin. My hands became claws. When my eyes retuned they were demonic. An aura of fire surrounded me. The change was complete. "Wha-wha- what are you?" Jonuku asked. "Your executioner" I said. I ran at near light speed and was right in Jonuko’s face. He backed up and prepared for round two. With the speed of a cheetah I ran. He hurled pillar after pillar at me. But it was no use. My newfound claws quickly slashed through them like they were butter. I got close and nailed him in the face. Before he had time to react I was all over him. Hacking and slashing. Cutting him with every strike. He jumped on to his pillar. "Enough of this! Now you die! Dragon Art: Earth Style! Earth gather to my hand to bury my enemy! Divine Earth blast!" He held out his hands. In them he gathered energy from deep inside his body. It was a dangerous move because the energy, without the right amount of control, could kill him. But he didn't care. I then remembered something from my past. It was a memory of my father. "Son, you should only use this attack as a last resort. Use it well," he said. I buckled down for the attack. "Phoenix Art: Fire style. Flames of the sun burn with all your might. Bring this fiend to his knees! Solar Flare Blast!" I too gathered my energy into my hands. I pulled it back to charge it just as Jonuku did. "FIRE!!!!" We both yelled. We jutted are arms forward. The beams of pure energy erupted from our hands. When they met, I huge explosion hit. The powers were deadlocked. Nether of us were giving an inch. Jonuku used his powers of manipulation to create another spike behind me. I jutted into my left arm. It dropped and I lost power. My beam was being overtaken. "HAHAHAHAHA! JUST GIVE UP!" Jonuku yelled. I was on one knee. then I looked over. Kira, Kagome, and Marco were watching intently. Then my rage returned. "NEVER!!!!!!!! Phoenix Art: Fire style. Let the flames of my rage burn through my enemy! Eternal Blaze!" I unleashed even more power than my arm could handle. I over through Jonuko’s beam and was about to incinerate him. That’s when a claw came out of nowhere and snatched him before the blast hit. My energy blast flew until it vanished. "Never come back. Ya hear....." I blacked out. The fight was over and I was tired. I de-phoenixed and dropped to the ground. Then everything went black.............





Chapter 10: The power of the Phoenix
........................"Wha-, what happened? Where am I?" I said weak. "Sano-kun/Sano-chan!" The girls shouted. "Your alive!" "Yeah, I know. But where am I?" I asked again. "Your in your room, silly," Kagome said. "You had us worried, Sano-chan," Kira said. I sat up. I looked around the room. Then I looked at Kira and Kagome. "How long have I been out?" I asked. "It’s been 4 days. Welcome back Sano-kun," Marco said walking in. "Sano-kun, what happened during that fight?" Marco asked. "I honestly don't know. It was as if my entire being was transformed. It was weird. I don't know what caused it, but I'm glade it happened when it did," I said. "What are we going to call this new form of Phoenix?" "Hmmmmmmmmm," we all said. "Oh, how about 'Super-Phoenix,'" Kira said. "Ok, but ho do we reach it? Sano-kun did it, so can we do it?" Kagome asked. "All I remember was that I couldn't let Jonuku kill my friends. Then I became enraged. Like my soul was on fire," I said. "If that’s the case, then it takes a moment of pure clarity to ascend to this new form. It will happen when it happens I guess," Marco announced. "In any case, Sano-kun I want you to stay in bed for a while. your energy is still low," Kagome said. "But I fell fine. I still have a lot of training to do," I argued.

"Your staying in bed Sano-chan," Kira said. Then I remembered the journal. "Kira-san, could you hand me that bag?" I asked. She went over to the corner of the room to get my bag. She soon came back. I went through it to find my fathers old journal. "This can explain something’s about our powers," I said. "What is it Sano-kun" Kagome asked. "Its my fathers journal. He chronicled how to use each power of the Phoenix," I said. I opened the book. "It reed’s 'Sano. If you’re reading this than I'm dead. In this book I'll tell you the extent of your powers. First you need to realize that you can recreate fire in the palm of your hand. Its the first step to mastering your element.'" I read. I read this for a while. " I'll see what it says about you guys powers. 'The ultimate powers of the Phoenix are very powerful. They are concentrated energy blasts that have the potential to destroy the Earth. The ability to use it is encrypted. So you just can't yell it out. You have to evoke it.'" I read. "' To evoke this you have to say it in Japanese. Then you must say 'Phoenix art' and your element. Then begin the incantation. I took the libraty to write down a few for each element'," I read. Then I let the others read their individual incantations. "' I hope you are safe. I love you Sano'," I finished reading. I was in tears. This was the only document that my father ever gave me. I had thought it burned in the fire that killed him and my mother. I wiped my eyes and looked at the book. That’s when I noticed a little tab labeled "fusion". I opened the book to that page. "Sano-kun what are you reading now?" Kagome asked. I closed the book quickly. "Nothing nothing," I said with a grin.

BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! There was an explosion out side. "Sano-chan, stay here!" Kira yelled. the others ran from the room. I went to the window to see what was going on. Outside was a heard of La-rak. And in the lead was Jonuku. "Oh no," I said. I ran outside to see the others already in Phoenix form. They were about to fight that mob. "Ughhhh. The guest of honor has arrived," Jonuku said. The guys looked back to see me in the doorway of the house. "SANO-KUN GET INSIDE NOW!!" Marco yelled. While his back was turned, a La-rak was about to hit him in the back. At a blinding speed I saw Kira intercept the attack and counter it. Then I remembered what the book said about fusion. It said that by switching gauntlets with another Phoenix member their powers would combine into a new being that commanded both elements. The fusion was our best bet of defeating these guys. "Marco-kun, take off your right gauntlet now!" I yelled. "Why?" he asked. "Just do it!" I yelled. he took it off. I went Phoenix to and took off my right gauntlet. "Catch!" I yelled. He caught it and threw his my way. I caught it. "Put it on! Now!" He looked at me like I was crazy, but he did it. Vice versa, I did the same. Then our gauntlets started to glow and pulsate. Then our bodies turned bright red for yellow and me for him. "Sano-kun whets going on?!?" Marco said worried. "PHOENIX FUSION! FIRE AND THUNDER!" I yelled. Then we both pulled to each other by our arms. The moment we hit, our powers combined. A bright light surrounded us. Our bodies combined. "What the hell is this?!?" Jonuku said. As the light disappeared our new form was revealed. Since saying "our" is going to get annoying I'll just say "I". Anyway, the sleeves on my shirt were now a blend of red and yellow. Like a dark orange. My pants were also dark orange. On my waist was a shot sword like a katana. On my back was a much longer sword much like my old one. My hair was an unruly length. So it was rapped in a long cloth. The hair reached down to my ankils. The Phoenix symbol on my chest was split in half. One side was like my fire one. The other sod was like Marco’s. My left eye was red and the right was yellow. My boots had the patterns of fire and thunder on them. the change was now complete. The light completely disappeared. "Who are you?" Jonuku asked. "That’s what I want to know," Kagome said. "Me, too. He's cute," Kira added. "My name is Kunai. Phoenix of the Burning Thunder," I said.

Chapter 11: the test by fusion
"My name is Kunai. The Phoenix of the burning thunder," I said. "Wha-what the hell kind of name is that? Your sill the same 2 fools who defy my master. Hmmmmm, I have an idea. If you can take down 1020 of these solders than I'll leave hear at once. If you fail, all of you die. Do we have a deal?" Jonuku asked. Kira and Kagome ran up to me. "Sano-chan, Marco-kun, are you 2 in there?" Kira asked. "Yeah. We are,” I said. "Jonuku! I accept your challenge!" I yelled. "Then let the challenge begin!" He jumped out of the way and the heard of La~Rak came running. I stared down the crowd. "Kira-san, Kagome-san, get away from hear now," I said. "Okay Kunai-kun," they said. They both ran on to the top of the house. "Show time," I said. I drew the sword on my back. I charged. The fight was on. And the test of this new form was beginning.

The La~Rak were in full on attack. They were bearing their fangs and ready to tear me limb from limb. This fight was mine. They decided to attack in groups of 20. With a swing of my sword the first group was dead. Then they decided to say the hell with groups and all rushed me. I held my sword with both hands. I pulled it back so the blade was facing away from them. I charged the blade with both fire and thunder. Then when it was fully charged I dashed at the on coming enemies. Once close I pulled the sword above my head and slashed the ground. Five shockwaves of energy came surging out of the ground. About 600 died in the path of that blast. The ones that remand were more skilled. One must have been an elite because he came at me from behind. I saw him out of the corner of my eye. I pulled my left hand away from my sword and grabbed the katana on my side. I quickly blocked the attack. I then pulled the sword in my right hand and finished him. I looked at the remaining 400. I put my hands to my side. In my left hand I charged thunder. In the right I charged fire. When both hands were glowing with power I struck the ground with my left hand. I stream of lightning burst from it and struck down 200 enemies. Then I struck the ground with my right hand and an eruption of fire shoot out of the crack made by the lightning. The remaining 200 were incinerated.

"That's 1020. Now get lost," I said to Jonuku. "You know what? The deals off. PREPARE TO DIE!" He lunged at me. Big mistake. I dodge his fist and countered with the handle of my sword. he jumped back gasping for air. " Ha. I figured out how you beat me last time. I was careless during that last attack. But this time I won't hold back. Now you die!" He started his incantation. I knew what had to be done. Unlike the first time I didn't start my own incantation. Instead I charged both of my swords. He finished his incantation and was ready to fire. He launched it at full power. My swords were fully charged. I rushed at the blast. "BURNING TANGUKEN!" I yelled. I made an x shaped slash which cut through the blast. "WHAT?!? WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!?!?" Jonuku yelled. "I rendered your blast useless. And now you die," I said. I jumped right in front of him. I held my sword up and was about to strike. Jonuku made a little dirt get in my eyes. A dirty trick. I closed my eyes. He jumped off his pillar and dove into the ground. He dug his way out and escaped death. Bastard.

"Kunai-kun, you were awesome," Kagome said in delight. "But how do you change back?" Kira asked. "In about 3,2,1," I said. Then my gauntlets started to glow. The light became brighter and brighter. Then my body split in 2. The light faded and Marco and I were standing side by side with our gauntlets on our arms. "What just happened Sano-kun?" Marco asked. "That was Phoenix fusion. By combining our powers we took on a unified form. and became a more powerful fighter, Kunai. It's a handy trick when in a tight spot. But it only lasts a half hour," I said. "But it was so cool!" Kira yelled. "Can we do that?" Kagome asked. "Yeah any of us can," I clarified. Then I felt that ominous dark felling again. It disappeared just as fast. I don't like the looks of this. Is this good or bad?

Chapter 12: New arrivals, dark feelings
Sano here. Things have been different around here. Ever since Jonuku dropped out of school that is. We've had a whole lot of new students lately. Like the new kids, Uzamaki Sokono and Mino Satoma. And also that new girl Meia Onry. They all seem nice. Uzamaki-san is to be blunt, a nerd. He wears thick glasses, braces, and well you get the idea. Mino-san is rather hot. She has brown hair and green eyes. They remind me of Kira's. Last is Meia-san. She has brown hair and blue eyes. She always has it in a ponytail. She's sweet and gentle. That pretty much sums them up. Anyway, for some reason I always feel happy when I'm around Meia-san. It might be just her personality. A week after they arrived something happened that set me off. I was walking down the street headed back to Kira's house when something caught my eye. A man holding a knife was robbing someone. This ticked me off. so I walked over. "HEY! Get out of here now before you regret it," I called. He turned around and revealed who he was robbing. It was Meia-san. " Onry-san is that you?" I asked. " Yuroto-kun? Help me, please?" she asked. She was scared. " Get back. NOW! Or you'll see this young ladies insides," the man said. In the blink of an eye I disappeared. I was behind him and had Meia's hand. "You won't be robbing' anyone any time soon," I said. " You little-" I moved so fast he didn't see my fist in his gut. he drooped back gagging. " You'll pay for this shrimp," he said. He ran away. " Are you ok, Onry-san?" I asked. " Yes, I'm ok," she said. "I'll walk you home just to be safe," I said. "Ok," she said. We walked for about an hour and arrived at an apartment complex. We went to the 7th floor. She opened the door to her apartment. "Please make yourself at home. My brother should be home soon," she said. "That’s okay. I have to go," I said. She walked over and kissed me on the cheek. My face went red in a big way. "Thank you for helping me," she said.


I bowed still blushing and walked home. That’s when a police car came up beside me. A police officer came out. "Are you Yuroto Sanosuke?" he asked. " Yes sir. What can I do for you?" I asked. He ran over to me and handcuffed me. "You're under arrest for battery of an innocent civilian," he said. I thought. He shoved me into the car and drove me to the station. "You'll be in holding until trial. You get one phone call," he said when we got to the station. "Alright," I said. I dialed Kira's house. " Hello, Mizono residents," Kagome said. "Kagome-san, put Marco-kun on the phone. "All right, but what's wrong?" she asked. "Never mind that just do it," I started to yell. "Sano-kun, what's up," Marco asked. "Look, I've been imprisoned for a battery charge. I was protecting Onry-san from a robber. he must have gone to the police and played the victim. I need you to tell Kira-san and Kagome-san. I don't have much time left. Find some evidence that I didn't do it," I said. "Times up!" an officer said. "Got to go," I hung up.


'Marco-kun?' 'Yeah, what is it Sano-kun?' 'Since my side of the story kind of drops from here could you tell them what happened on your end?'. 'Sure'. 'Thanks man'. Yo. Marco here. Just give me a minute to catch up. Now where was Sano-kun? Oh after hanging up. So after I put the phone down Kagome and Kira were looming over me. "What happened to Sano-chan?" Kira asked. "He got locked up," I said. "We have to find evidence that he didn't do it though." "Yeah, but how?" Kagome asked. "I can help you with that," a voice said out of nowhere. "WHO SAID THAT? SHOW YOURSELF BEFORE I FRY YOU!" I yelled. "If you insist. Step towards that lamp," it said. I took a step forward. Then my shadow started to get really dark. Then it started to ripple like a pool of water. Then a dark being came out of my shadow. He rematerialized. He was tall with jet-black hair. On his back was a lance. He wore black jeans and a white shirt with black sleeves. He must have been one of us. He had gauntlets like us, but his were black. He had his eyes closed. "Who are you? And how did you find us?" Kira asked. " I've been watching you. Determining if you were strong enough to take down the chaos. So far you proved me right. But be careful. The dragon’s forces have not been amassed yet. They still have 3 positions to fill," he said. "You answered 1 of my questions. Now answer the other," Kira said. "My apologies Kira-san," he said. He opened his eyes. They were reversed. His purples were white while his corneas were black. "My name is Kimari, Phoenix of Darkness," Kimari said.

Chapter 13: The shadows reveal the truth
"Kimari?" Kagome asked. (By the way Marco still talking here). We were standing in the living room. "I got a tip from a reliable source that your leader, the one named Sano, was falsely accused of beating someone. But I don't know how to prove his innocents," Kimari said. Kira was pacing back and forth. "There has to be someway to prove it," I said. "There is one way, but-" Kimari began. "But it’s dangerous." Kira ran up in front of him. She grabbed him by the shirt. "I DON'T CARE! WE HAVE TO GET SANO-CHAN BACK!!!" she yelled. "All right then. I can reverse the flow of time around the spot where the event took place. That is only if at least one of the people that happened to be there is present. This way I can tell through the shadows that were cast what happened," he said. "But who was there besides Sano-kun and the victim?" Kagome asked. "That’s where I come in," another voice called out. "Now what?" I asked.

A flash of light illuminated the room. Then a figure came into view. It was a girl. But the light was so bright I couldn't describe her at that point. The light began to fad. I could see her now. Another Phoenix. Light blonde hair. Light yellow sleeves. A bow on her back. And light yellow eyes. Her hair was tied in a ponytail. I only know one person who had their hair like that and was that cheery. It was Meia Onry. She was the Phoenix of light. "We don't have a lot of time. Yuroto-san is in danger," she said. "How is he in danger?" Kira asked. "The person who set him up works for the chaos dragon. He is a Kaguyara. Able to change his body to any different shape. This means that he can switch into an inmate and kill Yuroto-san," she said. "We have to get to that spot," I said. "But who's in command? Sano-chan is the one who comes up with the plans?" Kira asked. "Well then. Lets go get him," Kimari said. "How?" I asked. "Could you turn the light out?" Kimari asked. I went over and turned the light out. All I saw next was a pair of glowing eyes. The were Kimari's. "Shadow teleport!" He yelled. Then I felt something crawling up my leg. It was a black bulb. "What is that?" Kira asked frantic. "Don't worry. Just relax and think of Sano. That way we can find his shadow," Kimari said. A few seconds later we were all in a cell. I looked over and Sano was sitting in a corner. With his head to the ground. He looked ashamed. "Sano-kun" I asked. "Huh? Guys? What the heck are you doing here?" He asked. "SANO-CHAN/SANO-KUN!!!" Kira and Kagome yelled as they ran up to hug him. "You guys have to leave," Sano said. "Why?" I asked. "Because I'm not Sano," he said as his voice changed. Then he began to morph. He changed into a chameleon type creature. "Hahahahahahha," laughed. "Damn you! What did you do to Sano?" I yelled. He patted his stomach. "I ate him," it said. "He was a bit on the spicy side. Didn't put up much of a fight though. I expected more from the leader of the phoenix," he said.

Then his stomach started to glow. A blast of fire came bursting from it. Out sprang Sano in Phoenix form. He landed and was facing his enemy down. "You’re going to pay for trying to eat me," Sano said. "SANO!!!!" we all yelled. He turned around. "WTF? What are you guys doing here?" He asked. "Don't worry about that. Right now we have to take him out," I said pointing at the Kaguyara. "I'll keep him occupied. You guys go Phoenix," Sano said. Then he looked to the right of me. He saw Kimari and Meia. "Onry-san?" he asked. "Yes?" they answered. "What, you mean that Kimari is your brother?" Kira asked Meia. "That’s right Mizono-san. Kimari-onisan is my older brother," she said. "Forget the formalities. We have work to do. Kira! Kagome!" I yelled. They nodded. "Fenikkusu kaihen!" We called. We transformed. "Now were all together, The Order of the Phoenix!" Sano yelled. "'Order of the Phoenix'? Who came up with that lame brain idea?" Kimari asked. "The one about to hit you," Sano said pointing at Kira. She was about to belt him. "Anyway, back to the task at hand," the Kaguyara interrupted. "Yeah, its to cramped to fight in hear. So lets go to my world," Kimari said. "Shadow Gate!" All of use were engulfed in a black glob and transported to a different world. "Hmm, home field advantage, 6 against 1, not good odds in my favor. I guess I'll call some friends," the creature said. He summoned 600 La~Rak. "100 each then. You guys ready?" Sano asked. "Yeah," we all yelled. "Then lets go," Sano called back. "ATTACK!!!"

Chapter 14: Battle in the dark
'Sano-kun?' 'What?' 'I'm done so you can take over.' 'Fine.' What up people? Sano here. Now lets get to the fight. We were out numbered, out gunned, and out matched. Needless to say we were kicking' butt and taken names. Kimari and me were back to back. We were surrounded. "Shall we?" he asked. "Lets," I said. We charged in the groups we were facing. "Blazing Slash!" I swung my sword with a fury of fire. I cut through at least 50 of my 100. "Dark Blitz!" I looked over at Kimari. His lance was shrouded in a black aura. Then he disappeared completely. 5 seconds later he was on the other side of his group. They turned about to attack. All Kimari did was glare and they really fell apart. I looked over his shoulder and saw an enemy about to strike. "LOOK OUT!" I yelled. He must have seen the same thing because when I took down the one behind him he took down one about to kill me. I looked over and saw the others. "Light speed arrows!" Meia was firing off arrow after arrow. Maiming at least 3 on one arrow. Needless to say she was quite skilled. "At this rate we won't be able to take the big one in time. There has to be a way to take out most of them," Kimari said. "I think I know how," I said. "Kira, Kagome, Marco, switches gauntlets with each other!" I yelled. "GOT IT!" they yelled back. They gathered in one spot. They took off both gauntlets and handed them to the next person. After the switch their arms started to glow. They all backed up and tried to get away but it was in vain. They came rushing back and their bodies merged. There was a bright light. So bright that not even Meia could see. The light started to fade. In the middle of the light stood a warrior of great power. She stood with silvery hair. Her basic color for pants and sleeves was gray with a dark blue tint. On her hip was a pair of katana, one a long range one and a short one for defense. She had Kira and Kagome's beauty and Marco’s entire attitude.


"Pleased to meet you all. My name is Marino, Phoenix of the storm," Marino said. "Cool, can you take these guys out in a single swing? I beat I could," I challenged. "Your on," she yelled back. "Tempest Blade!" she called. Her katana was glowing. It was being charged with the rage of a thousand storms. "All right then. Blazing Inferno!" I charged my sword with the anger of a wild fire. The uncontrollable powers we were about to unleash would devastate the Earth. Fortunately we were in a realm of darkness, so we could let loose. "On my mark," Meia called. After she and Kimari were safely behind us. We stood there charging for a few minutes. "Fire!" Meia yelled. We both reared back and lunged forward. We struck the ground and our waves of power erupted from the cuts. The power surged from our blades. Obliterating anything in their path. The only thing left was the Kaguyara. "One left. Ladies go first," I said. "Ha. Why thank you kind sir," Marino said. She dashed in and attacked. The enemy was slick. He was dodging attacks left and right. Marino was having a hard time hitting. Then I remembered she hadn't used any of her lightning abilities. "Marino!" I yelled. "What?!?" she yelled back. "Use the Lightning Surge Slash! It should be more than enough!" I yelled. She sheathed her sword and geared up for her attack. With her sword sheathed it charged electricity. "How can you finish me if you can't hit me?!?" It called. "Go, Lightning Surge Slash!!!" Marino called. With lightning fast speed she whipped out her charged sword. And as predicted the Kaguyara dodge it and was about to strike. Marino saw that and drew the other sword. She hit her mark. "AAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!" the creature howled in pain. "This...is...not...over..." he said. "Yeah it is. Black hole!" Kimari started to spin his lance in a large circle. It opened a portal into an endless abyss. It pulled in anything in its path. The Kaguyara was drawn in and never seen again.

After the battle was said and done, my name was cleared and I was released from holding. Outside the Jail my friends were all waiting outside. Kimari was the tallest. His eyes were fine silver and so was his hair. "I want to thank you all for helping me," I said. Kira and Kagome ran up to me. They hugged me at the same time. "You don't have to Sano-chan. We will always help," Kira said. "Thanks guys," I said. "Enough chat, time to get to business," Kimari said. His look was hard now. "I've been tailing a lead for awhile and found out some interesting information. The Dragon has found the Phoenix Essence. These seven stones can enhance our powers 10 fold. I believe these stones will allow us to go 'Super Phoenix' at will," he said. "The problem is that they are scattered all over Japan. In the directions of the Dragon, Tiger, Phoenix, And Turtle. The reason their are seven is because you can't use the other six without the seventh," he said. "So the problem is finding them before they do. And we still have to go to school." We all stood and thought for a second. "You know," Meia piped in. "School break is coming in three days. We can wait till then," she said. "Alright then that’s the plan. In three days we search for the stones. We all better train while we wait. Kimari-san, Meia-san I'm glad we can have you two on the team. You can come over and train with us sometimes," I said. "Cool I think we'll take you up on that. We'll see you later," Kimari said. Meia bowed and quickly followed her brother. Kira and Kagome turned and glared at me. "What were you doing at Meia-chan's house?" they asked. "Ughhhh, nothing," I said looking for an excuse to run. "LA~RAK!!!"I yelled. They turned and I ran. "SANOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Chapter 15 Steel’s request
Morning again. I slept great. I was in the living room propped up against a wall. Marco came in. “Marco-kun, good morning,” I said. “Good morning, Sano-kun,” he said back. I went into the kitchen and made a cup of coffee. Kira and Kagome came walking in while I drank. They’ve become good friends now. “MORNING SANO-CHAN!” they said at the same time. They may be friends, but they still fight. “Are you guys ready for school?” Kira asked. “Of course. Ready Marco-kun” I asked. “Always,” he said back. “Fenikkusu kaihen,” we said. “Why did you 2 go Phoenix?” Kagome asked. “This way we can get to school faster,” Marco said to clear things up. “Phoenix Art! Wings of the Phoenix!” we shouted. We sprouted wings out side. “See ya at school,” I said. 15 minutes later we were at school. “Good morning Sano-kun, Marco-kun,” Mino said. “Good morning,” we said. “Sano-kun can I talk to you for a minute?” she asked. “Sure,” I said. We walked for a while. Then she finally spoke. “You’re an anime fan right Sano-kun?” she asked. “Yeah, I am,” I answered. “So there’s this convention coming up this tomorrow and I wanted to know if you’d like to go with me,” she said. “What? ME? Umm, Ughhhh. If we go as friend’s than-“I was cut off. “HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!!!!” It was Kira and Kagome. They came out of nowhere and split Mino and I up. “Don’t even think of about laying a hand on our Sano!” they said. Mino ran off about to start crying. “What’s wrong with you two?! You just scared her off for no reason!” I yelled. Kira and Kagome looked shocked. I ran off after her.

I turned a corner and saw her crying. I was about to walk over to her but then I heard a strange voice. the voice said. (sniff) “Who are you?” she asked. it said. She was crying again. “All I wanted to do is go to the convention with Sano-kun, But Kira-san and Kagome-san got jealous and stopped him from answering,” she said eyes watering. it asked. “Yes,” she said with an angry look on her face. it said. Then a large steel door came out of the ground. She opened it without hesitation and walked in. The door closed and sunk back into the ground. I ran back to the others as fast as I could. “GUYS!!!! WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!!” I shouted. “What is it Sano-kun?” Marco said. “Mino-san has just joined the Dragons,” I said. “This means we have 2 to worry about. This is bad,” Marco said. “This is Kira-san’s and Kagome-san’s fault,” I said glaring at them. “How is it our fault Sano-kun?” Kira asked. “If you hadn’t scared her she wouldn’t have done it,” I said. “Good morning guys,” Meia and Kimari said walking up. “Mino-san from our class has joined the Dragons,” Marco said. “That’s not good,” Kimari said. “You got that right!” Mino said out of nowhere. Then a rain of kunai and shuriken came out of the sky. “Run!” I yelled. We all split up and ran. I was on my own. Then a very large shuriken came streaming out of the sky. I dodged it by a few hairs. “Mino-san! Come out now!” I yelled. Then a cloud of smoke came out of nowhere. There she was. She was in a Konoich’s outfit. She had a choker around her neck. It had the kanji for steel on it.


“Sano-kun. You spurned my offer and now you’re going to pay,” she said. “What happened to you Mino-san?” I asked. “I joined a team. A team that will kill you and your retched friends,” she said. “This isn’t like you,” I said. “You didn’t like the old me so try the new me,” she said. She stuck out her hand and all the lockers molded and turned into kunai. She hurled them at me in a fit of rage. “Fenikkusu kaihen!” I shouted. Once in Phoenix form, I used my shield to block the attacks. “Sano-chan!” Kira yelled down the hall. She was already in Phoenix form. “I’ll take her,” she said when she was next to me. “Not without me,” Kagome said running. “3 to 1 isn’t fair. So lets even it out,” Mino said. She transformed the rest of the lockers into doubles of Kagome and me. “Guys!” Kira yelled. “Worry more about yourself. You fight the Dragon of steel now,” Mino said

Chapter 16 steel against the tsunami
Damn it. Kagome and I were being taken by some metal doubles of us. We switched partners and swiftly destroyed them. We got back to Kira and Mino. The only thing I could see was the bright flash of light from their attacks. It was speed against ninjitsu at this point. There was nothing I could do. Kira was starting to slow down. As fast as she was she still needed more training. She was breathing heavy. She was cut and bruised. But she keeps on fighting. It was as if there was something she wanted to attain. “You’re slowing down Kira-san,” Mino taunted. “What’s wrong? I thought you would be stronger than this. Hiding behind Sano-kun must have taken its toll. Your weak.” “Screw you, you witch!” Kira said angrily. She lunged for another attack. Mino dodged it and hit her in the back. Kira hit the ground hard. “You wanted to protect Sano-kun and keep him all to yourself. You didn’t even consider his feelings about you. Did you?” Mino asked. “No, I didn’t,” Kira said with her face in the ground. “You are a cold-hearted and selfish piece of crap that is un-deserving of his time. Aren’t you?” she pried. Kira had a distant look in her eyes, like she had given up hope. “Yes, I am,” she said. “That’s right,” Mino said. Kira stood up. “I don’t deserve his friendship. I don’t deserve his kindness,” Kira said softly. Mino was walking towards her. She was forming a kunai in her hand. “I don’t deserve to live,” Kira said. “Then let me PUT YOU OUT OF YOUR MISERY!!!!” Mino shouted about to stab her. I rushed in and intercepted the blow. With my gut. Kira’s eyes got really wide. “Sa…no…?” she said on the verge of tears. “Kira-chan, are you……ok…….?” I asked. Then I dropped to the ground. Stomach bleeding. “Sano-chan? Sano-chan? SANO-CHAN??????” she yelled. Then she looked up at Mino. “You did this. You did this to Sano-chan. You’re going to pay for this!” she started to yell. Then she snapped. Just something inside her snapped. Suddenly, 5 geysers came out of the ground and covered her. She started to glow a light blue. Her phoenix clothes were changing.



Her shirt was now that of a traditional Chinese dress. Yet she had log sleeves. Her jeans were still the same, but her daggers became longer and hooked. Her eyes turned even darker and were those of a hawk. Keen and far seeing. She had gone super Phoenix form. She glared at Mino. “You’re going to pay for killing Sano-chan,” she said. Eyes fixated on Mino. “Try and avenge him,” Mino said. Kira was in front of her in 2 seconds. She reared back and punched her. Mino backed up and disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Kira’s eyes tracked her like it was nothing. She locked on to her and took off. Mino repapered and Kira was right behind her. Mino whipped around and saw her but it was too late. Kira belted her in the face and she went flying. Mino was in mid-air. Kira appeared behind her again and punched her in the stomach. Mino was streamlining towards the ground. Kira once again was right there. She caught her and threw her to the ground. Mino looked up. Now bloody. “Leave now,” Kira said. Her face stained with blood. “Fine. But remember you could have saved Sano-kun from death if you just died,” Mino said. Then she got up and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.


Kira saw the others running towards me. She walked over. “What happened?” Kagome said crying at the site of my body. “He protected me. He called me ‘Kira-chan’ for the first and most likely the last time,” Kira said with her head down. “Don’t count me out so easily,” I said. Everyone just stared at me. I may have been bloody, but I was alive. “Sano-chan?” Kira asked. “In the flesh and blood. But it won’t last if I don’t get some help,” I said. We all went home and relaxed for a while. “Sano-chan, I have to ask. How did you survive?” Kira asked. I looked over at her. “I tightened my stomach at the last second so the blow wouldn’t be fatal,” I said. “Ohhhhhh,” Kira said. “Don’t worry. I’ll be here
Kira then started at me. Then she finally said, "Sano-chan, why did you call me 'Kira-chan'?". She said it glaring at me. "Ummm no reason Kira-san," I said. "I want you to call me ‘chan’!" Kira yelled. "Oh would you look at the time. I forgot I had to be somewhere about 5 minutes ago. Bye," I said as I ran out the door. "SANO-CHAN GET BACK HERE!!!!" she yelled.

Chapter 17 Ice is nice and trees are mean
It was two days after the mess at the school with Mino. The thing is unlike Jonuku she didn’t drop out of school. Though she did get transferred out of our class. Tomorrow was the day of the anime contention at school. And the big question was what to go as. “Well should we go as a group, or separate?” I asked. We were in the lunchroom at school. “I vote separate,” Marco said. “This way we can support our own favorite anime or videogame,” he said. “I say we go as a group so they know we mean business,” Kira said. “I second that motion,” Kagome said. “Well I think we should go separate,” Meia piped in. “I mean we don’t all like the same stuff so we shouldn’t make the others go through the process of choosing just one,” Meia added. She had a good point.” What do you think Kimari?” I asked. “Leave me out of this one. You five make the chose,” he said. “Alright we’ll settle this once and for all. Draw straws. Long straw chooses,” I said. I held out my hand. Kira, Meia, Marco, and Kagome all drew. They were all short straws. My unfortunate lot in life. “Ok I choose……….separate,” I said. “Oh alright. If you say so, Sano-chan,” Kira said. “Good then its decided,” Marco said. We all went to class in time for math. After school ended. The rest of the day we all prepared our costumes for the convention. It took me all night but I got it done. The others finished in time too.


The next day was the convention. I walked into school looking like Cloud from “Final Fantasy VII Advent Children”. And just like cloud I had a rather large sword on my back. I walked around for a while wondering where the others were. Then I heard a familiar voice. “Shinku Hadoken!!” Then a sudden burst of light came at me. I dodged it and prepped my sword looking around. “Sano-chan!” The voice called out. It was Kira. She was dressed as Sakura from Street fighter. “Did I surprise you Sano-chan?” she asked. “Yeah actually. When could you use the Hadoken, especially in the Shinku form?” I asked. “Well I mimicked the game till I learned to focus my ‘Chi’,” she said. “OK, where are the others?” I asked. “Come with me and I’ll show you,” she said. We walked for about 10 minutes. Then I heard,” Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!!” (Flame type: Giant Fire Ball) Then a large stream of fire came rushing at us. I pushed Kira to the side and used flame manipulation to divert the flames into the sky. “Aw man. I thought I was sure to hit you with that, Sano-kun,” she said. Out came Kagome dressed as Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto. “Ok now I’m confused. Who’s the Phoenix of fire here?” I asked her. “Don’t worry it was just a matter of energy. Besides you ought to see who Marco came as,” Kagome said. “Who?” I asked. SLAP!!! I heard someone clap then a strict of lightning rolled pass my feet. Then the ground beneath my feet turned to mud. Then a boy wearing black leather pants, a black jacket, and a metal arm came rushing at me. I drew my sword and blocked the attack. “Can’t win this one Sano-kun. Your out numbered and out aimed,” Marco said. “You can’t win,” Kimari said. “WIND SCARRRR!!!!!!” I saw the fabled wind scar from Inuyasha come at me. I got my legs free and dodged it. I jumped into the air. Then I saw a girl with wings, a school uniform and a long sword come at me. It was Meia. She was dressed like Setsuna from Mahoro Sensei Negi. I once again blocked the attack. Then I remembered my attack. I held my sword out and it broke into 6 different ones. They all positioned themselves around my friends. The first one was behind Kira. I moved at light speed and grabbed it. She turned to block but it was too late. I hit her hard. One by one this process repeated. Till the only one left was Meia. The last sword was above her. I once again grabbed it and struck her. I fell to the ground fast. The 6 swords falling to the ground around me. Each of my friends dropped. When Meia fell from the sky I caught her in my arms. “What was that?” everyone asked. “Omni-slash,” I said.


After the quick tussle it was time for the costume contest. We all entered the contest. After the judges saw every costume they voted for their favorite. They said to wait about an hour so we all left to the nearest burger stand. Once there we ate for a while. Then it got really cold. I mean REALLY cold. Like someone left the a/c on. “You think?” Marco said looking at me. “Yeah. The next dragon,” I said. Then I saw Uzamaki in the corner booth. “Uzamaki-san you better get out of here. Something bad is coming,” I warned. “Oh really?” he said. “Ok. I’ll leave.” He got up and walked out. “I don’t like this. Let’s go,” Kimari said. We were at the door but it wouldn’t open. “Hmm that’s weird. Maybe I can melt it. Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!!” Kagome launched a giant fireball at the door. But it didn’t work. “Hey isn’t that Uzamaki-kun?” Kira pointed out. “Yeah what’s he doing?” I asked. He had his hands stretched out. And a strange light was coming from them. That’s when I saw it. Since he was wearing the garments of Zabuza of Naruto his arms were exposed. On his left shoulder I saw the kanji of Ice. I realized then that he was the dragon of ice. “Guys, suit up,” I said. “But why it’s not like he’s the dragon,” Kira said. “Take a good look at his arm,” I said. The others look and sure enough they saw it. “All right then. Let’s get him,” she said. “Let’s Go. Fenikkusu kaihen!!!” To those who don’t know what Kimari and Meia look like when they transform I’ll describe it. Kimari’s entire body was coated in a black mist. The mist became a blob and attached itself to him. The blob then detached and fell to the ground and became a lance. He closed his eyes and re-opened them. They were reversed. For Meia her body was engulfed in a bright light. Slowly changing her. We all finished our transformations and broke through the door. We stared down Uzamaki. “These odds aren’t fair. Guys!” He called. Then a pillar rose from the ground and a fog covered the area. As the fog lifted we saw our opponents. Mino and Jonuku. “We have to take these guys out this time. So no screw-ups. Got it?” Jonuku asked. “Got it,” Mino said. “All right,” Uzamaki said. “Can I have some fun too?” A voice called out. “No problem boss lady,” Jonuku said. Then a large tree shoots out of the ground. Its branches bore the strongest of the Dragons. A girl was seated on a branch. “So these guys are the Phoenix? And you keep losing to them?” she said. “Unfortunately yeah,” Mino said. “Well then. I think its time I stepped in,” she said. She jumped down and landed in front of us. “What’s up? I’m Ruki, Dragon of wood.”

Chapter 18 The mind is a fickle thing
Bam!!!!! Bam!!!!! They were good. The dragons were matching us blow for blow. I was fighting Jonuku, Marco and Kimari were fighting Uzamaki, Kira was going toe to toe with Mino, and Kagome and Meia were taking on Ruki. This could be bad. I thought. “You thinkin’ of helpin’ your friends? Don’t. Your fight is with me,” Jonuku said as he lunged at me. Marco just got slammed into the ground. Kimari ran over to help him but was cut short by a wall of ice. Uzimaki’s weapon was a zanbato. He was slashing at him. Kimari was blocking but was having problems. Kira was moving fast in her rapid falls assault. But she was still having problems. Mino was throwing shuriken at her and then closed in on her. Meia was shooting arrows of like a machine gun, but Ruki was dodging them and creating barriers of plants. Kagome was tied up in vines. This was bad. “Enough of this. I know what to do!” Ruki yelled. She walked up to the ensnared Kagome and planted something on her neck. “AAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she screamed. Then she fell silent. When she looked up her eyes were glazed over and she had a blank stare on her face. “Perfect,” Ruki said. “What is your purpose?” she asked Kagome. “To defeat the Phoenix,” she said coldly. “Kagome-chan, what’s wrong with you?!?” Kira yelled. Kagome was set free and dashed at her. Kagome was under some kind of mind control. She was attacking Kira. Then Ruki shot a seed like thing that hit Kira. “What’s th-! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” she screamed. Then she met the same fate as Kagome. Her eyes were also glazed over and served Ruki. “She’s taking us over one by one,” I said. “That was the plan!” Jonuku yelled as he lunged at me again.


“KIMARI!!!! MARCOOOOOO!!!!! LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!” I yelled. “What is it Sano-san?” Kimari asked. “Ruki is planting mind-controlling seeds into our necks and taking control of us! Be careful!” I yelled back. “ONI-SAN! LOOK OUT!” Meia yelled, but it was too late. Kimari was hit. “KIIMAAARIIII!!!!” Marco yelled. “GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” he screamed in pain. He was also hit. This was not good. 4 of us were taken over and only Meia and I were left. “SAAANOOO-SAAAN! LOOK OUT!!” Meia came out of nowhere and shoved me out of the way as she was hit. “NNNOOOOO! YOUR GOOING TO PAAAAAAY!” I yelled. I was more or less pissed off. “Save it. Your next,” Mino said. Ruki fired one at me. I lit myself on fire and it was burned to a crisp before it got to me. “So we’ll have to knock you out first,” Ruki said with a smirk. “Jonuku step back. Let his friends take care of him.” This was not good. 9 on 1 and I was the one. “Kira, Marco, get him,” Ruki ordered. They both charged at me. I was under heavy attack. They were hacking and slashing at my shield. Soon Ruki called off the attack. “Marco use your thunder attacks,” she ordered. I thought. “Thunder yo-yo,” he said. He threw his katanas at me. I dodged the first strike but was hit when it came back. “Kira, Kagome, Uzamaki, triple team him,” Ruki ordered again. Kira caused water to rise from the ground. Kagome sent a gust of wind through it. Uzamaki then froze the air born water drops. The drops turned into ice needles and were targeted to me. I tried to melt them, but they were flame resistant. The barrage was so great that it left me in a pool of blood. I soon de-phoenixed and was on one knee. I was gasping for air. “Again!” Ruki commanded. They sent another wave of ice needles at me. I was cut up badly. “Face it Sano. There is nothing you can do. Meia, Jonuku, pin him,” Ruki ordered. Meia and Jonuku sent arrows at me. I was then pinned to the glass of the burger stand. “Mino, do it,” Ruki said. Mino sent a rain of shuriken that bordered my body. “Kimari, slice him,” another order. Kimari warped behind me in my shadow and proceeded to slash my back. It was painful. “You’re powerless,” Ruki said. She walked up to me. She just stared at me. I was bloody and in a bad way. “You’re so weak,” she said.


“I won’t ever let you win,” I said weakly. “Let us? Don’t make me laugh. You’re pinned down with shuriken and arrows. Your back and head are bleeding. You’re too weak to fight back. You’re not even worth taking control of. We should just kill you now,” Ruki said. “I won’t give up. Even if you kill me,” I said. “What can you do pinned there? You have no powers to use,” she said. “Well since today is a day of anime. Why don’t I do what I’m good at,” I said with a smirk. “What’s that?” she asked. “Managing my ki,” I said. “KAI-OH-KEN!!!!” I yelled. My body erupted in a red burst of energy. The shuriken and arrows were forced out of my body. I stood up. “Now things get fun,” I said.

Chapter 19 Ki control and a ray of light
I was glowing red. "So, you still have some fight in you huh? Well then I'll have to fix that," Ruki said. I glared at her. "I'll fight you now," she said. Then two branches rose from the ground. She pulled them up and they became a pair of battle-axes. She charged. I ducked and dodged her attacks. This was still a pretty one sided battle. I was worn down and in human form, while she was in full on dragon and fresh for a fight. "Well? Where's that Ki control you promised?" She asked slashing. "Right here. SOLOR FLARE!!!" I yelled. I backed up put my hands to my forehead and unleashed a bright light. "AAAAUUUGHHHH! MY EYES!!!!" she yelled. I ran in and punched her in the stomach. "I thought you couldn't hit a girl," she said. "Normally no I couldn't, but in a fight however there are no genders between the fighters," I clarified. Then I began to launch my counter attack. "Your good Yuroto, but how will you fair against all of us?" Ruki declared. "EVERYONE ATTACK!!!!!!" she yelled. "Bring it. Kage Bushino Jutsu!!!!(Art of the doppelganger)" I yelled. I created 9 clones in an instant. "Let's go boys!!!!" I ordered. And the fight was on.


After a good half hour my clones were gone. And I was fighting all my friends at once. "Come on guys! Snap out of it," I said. They couldn't hear me. They were brainwashed. That's when I decided to do my own Jutsu. I jumped up. I preformed some hand seals from Naruto. I finished it with the seal of the horse. "Sano-style: Ki control Jutsu!!!" I called. As soon as I landed I spread my arms. I unraveled a humongous amount of energy into the battlefield. Then time slowed down. The secret to this Jutsu is that by releasing my ki I can control anything it touches. Case in point, I stopped my friends. So while they were stopped I decided to get those seeds off my friends. I did several more hand seals and finished it with the seal of the Tiger. " Katon: Housenka no Jutsu! (Flame Type: Mythical Fire Flower Technique)" I yelled. I shout 5 small fireballs at my friends' necks. And since my Jutsu was still in place they stopped. "Time in, Ki reverse!" I drew in my ki. Now that things were back to normal my fireballs were in full force. They hit each of my friends and hit the seeds. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" they all yelled. The seeds dropped off and burned.



"Huh what happened?" Kira asked. "Why is my head spinning?" Marco asked. "Man that was weird," Kimari said. "Its like I've been in a fog," Kagome said. " Sano-kun, are you ok? You're bleeding badly," Meia asked. "Fenikkusu Kaihen," I called. I re-phoenixed and was still bleeding. "I'm fine. Let's just finish this before I bleed to death," I said. "I'll explain everything to you guys later. But for now lets get these guys," I said. "Alright," they all said. "Charge!!!!!!" I yelled. "Uzamaki, stop them," Ruki said. Uzamaki created a wall of ice in front of us. "Kira-san lets double team that wall," I said. "How? Fire can't melt it," She said. "Use the Shinku Hadoken and I'll handle the rest," I said. "Okay," she said. "SHINKU HADOKEN!!!!!" She yelled. I stood next to her. "KAMEHAMEHAAAAAAA!!" I yelled. We fired our energy blasts at the wall and destroyed it. "What?!?" Ruki yelled. I dropped to the ground. "SANO-CHAN!!" Kira yelled. "That's it. I'm spent. Kira-san take them down," I said weakly. Then all went black………. Then a light had shown. It pierced the dark hold around my body. Giving me strength. It was warm. I was regaining conciseness. I opened my eyes. Meia was over me with her lips on mine. …….WHAT?!?!?!?! She kissed me!! She actually kissed me?? "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?" I shouted. "It's the healing kiss. It rejuvenates the one I kiss," Meia said. "BUT STILL!!!!! DID YOU HAVE TO?!?!" I continued to shout. "It was the only way. Without you this team is as good as useless. We need you," she said. I started to blush. "Well, as this team's leader I suggest that we Phoenix fuse," I said. "Alright," Meia said. "Fenikkusu Kaihen!!" I called. A second later I was in Phoenix form. "Ready?" I asked. "Ready," she said. I took off my right gauntlet and handed it to her. She did the same. Then we put them on. "PHOENIX FUSION!!! FIRE AND LIGHT!!!" we called. Then the change began. Since I'm a guy this part would be kind of difficult to explain. 'Ohaio.' 'Meia-san, right on time.' 'What is it Sano-kun?' 'I writing a book on our past adventures and battles and I'm at the part where we first fuse. Since I'm a guy could you write down what happened?' 'Sure I could.' 'Thanks.' Hi everyone. It's nice to meet you. I'm Meia Onry: the light Phoenix. Now where did Sano-kun leave off? Oh there. Ok, so as he was saying or fusion had just begun. The first major change was we became a girl. And a pretty hot one if I do say so. Our new color was a dark pink. Hee now I see why Sano-kun didn't want to write this part. So our new weapon was a different type of sword then Sano-kun worked with. It had the ability to transform into a crossbow. Our new hair color was also a dark shade of pink. As well as our eyes. It was fun because the whole time Sano-kun and I were in the same head. And I could hear everything he thought. "What the hell is going on?!?! I'm turning into a girl!!!!" he said. All I could do was laugh at him. The fusion was now complete. All the others did was watch. "So who are you?" Ruki asked me. "My name is Kamekaji: Phoenix of the divine flame," I said.

Chapter 20 Dual of the leaders
I stood in front of everyone after the fusion. ¨This fight doesn't need to go on. Ruki, I challenge you to a dual. If I win then you and your friends must leave, but if you win you can kill Sano," I said. (¨Sano-kun, what are you saying?” I asked Sano in our mind) (¨Like you said, I the leader of this group. If we should lose then I will sacrifice my life to spar all of yours,¨ he said) ¨Ï accept your challenge. Now let the fight begin!¨ Ruki yelled and dashed at me. ¨Alright," I said as I took my stance. As soon as Ruki was close it seemed like Sano-kun´s fighting ability took over. I was able to dodge the attack and counter her with a backhand. Ruki stumbled for a bit and then regained her balance. She once again charged at me and this time she made a bit of a stand. It was a fierce battle. We were moving with blinding speed and grace. On a few occasions we managed a hit on the other. ¨How long do you think this will go on? I have an anime contest to win in 15 minutes,¨ Uzamaki said. ¨ soon. Ruki´s just baiting her,¨ Mino said. ¨Kimari-san, your sister did something to wake Sano-kun up. What was it?¨ Kira asked. ¨Do you promise not to get mad?¨ Kimari asked. ¨Yes. Now what did she do?¨ Kira asked impatiently. ¨She used her ´healing kiss´ to restore his energy,¨ he said. ¨WHHHHHHHAAAAAATTTT!?!?!?!?!?!¨ she screamed. Back at the battle, Ruki had caused trees to grow from the ground. She made a forest just so she could have an advantage. (¨Sano-kun, what do we do?¨ I asked Sano) (¨You leave that to me,¨ he answered.) ¨WILD FIRE RAIN!!¨ I shouted. I shoot two streams of fire into the air. They formed clouds as they gathered. After enough fire was condensed in the sky fireballs rained down and hit the trees. Ruki just leaped to another tree to avoid the attack..


This might end if I could attack her with some type of attack. ¨Hee hee. You did good keeping up. But its time to end it. Dragon art: Wood style!! Bring forth the foliage of the ground to my call. Blossoms of cherries swirl and surround. Extinguish the flames before me. Cherry Blossom chaos!!!¨ Ruki yelled. She summoned thousands upon thousands of cherry blossoms. She looked up at me with a smirk. ¨These blossoms have special properties. Instead of taking in carbon dioxide they absorb oxygen. And everyone knows that a fire needs oxygen to live. Now my blossoms ATTACK!!!¨ she ordered the blossoms rushed at me and surrounded me. I felt the power of fire start to leave me. (¨ÄAUUGGHHHH!!!!¨ Sano screamed in pain.) (¨Sano-kun, what's wrong?¨ I asked) ( ¨My strength is leaving me. I can take much more of this. I'll use the last of my power to keep the fusion up, but I won’t be able to fight, he said) (¨All right. I’ll end this,¨ I said) ¨This is not good. There has to be something I can do,¨ I said. Then I looked at my sword. That was it. I drew my sword and hurled it at Ruki. It went through her stomach. ¨Ugh,¨ she bent over. ¨This is not over yet. But for now you win. Mino, Jonuku, and Uzamaki let’s go,¨ Ruki said. Then in a breeze of cherry blossoms they all vanished. We de-fused and were with the group. ¨Sano-kun, are you all right?¨ Kimari asked Sano. ¨Not really. Look at my back,¨ he said. He took of his jacket and revealed it. On his back he had the ten elemental symbols scared on his back. When you connect the kanji’s they make the symbol of the Phoenix we all wear. It would be a part of him forever. ¨ it doesn’t hurt as long as no one touches it,¨ he said. As soon as he said that Kira and Kagome walked up behind him and slapped his back. He screamed like a scared little girl. ¨THATS FOR KISSING MEIA-CHAN!¨ they yelled. ¨Come on we have to get back. They’ll be announcing the winner of the contest,¨ Marco piped in.

I nodded and sprouted wings. I took to the sky and did a few maneuvers. After I landed it was my turn. ¨Sano-kun you have to ether go phoenix form or kiss me, Kira, and Kagome,¨ I said with a smile. He automatically went Phoenix form. He didn’t want to kiss us. He is a nice guy. ¨That's all for today kids. Have a good summer,¨ the announcer said. As we walked home Sano had a serious look on his face. ¨What is it Sano-kun?¨ I asked. ¨Tomorrow we leave for the sacred stones. And we only have 2 months to find them. Since they have been scattered to the 4 winds we will all have to separate,¨ he said. ¨That's true,¨ I said. ¨Well then lets go enjoy this last night together,¨ Kira said. That night we all went to a club and partied till we dropped. The next day we all meet up at Kira’s house. I looked around for Sano but he wasn’t there. ¨You ready for this?¨ Oni-san asked. ¨Yes,¨ I said. ¨Then it is time we left.¨ Sano was up on the light post. He was wrapped in a cloak. This must have been what Sano looked like before he met us. ¨The time has come for us to leave. We may be separate but our hearts will always be connected. Till then my friends farewell,¨ he said. He turned and was about to leave. ¨WAIT!¨ Kira yelled. He stopped and looked back. ¨Marco travailed Japan and found the locations of the stones. But they all have a seal that only that Phoenix can break,¨ she said. Then she handed out maps to our own individual stones. Then with a smile on her face she took off in her own way. I started of as well. And like Sano said, we may be separate but our hearts are connected. We will meet again.

chapter 1

My name is Kimari Onry. Phoenix of Darkness. My sister is the Phoenix of light. But that's getting of the subject. My purpose for my entry in this book is to tell you what happened to me on my search. It was a dark and stormy night. I was walking down a road contemplating what Sano told us. He said no matter how far apart we are we are always together. It wasn’t like it was going to affect me. Then I saw something in the road. It was a small animal. I ran up and picked it up. It looked like a Panther with the wings of a hawk. I ran with it in my arms till I found a small house. I knocked on the door to see who owned it. It turns out he was a beast tamer. As soon as he saw the creature in my arms he grabbed it and locked the door. Jackass. I continued on till I found a pub. I couldn’t drink but I could still dry off. I went in and just got a lot of stares. They didn’t know who I really was. Probable because of the cloak I was wearing. I walked up to the bar and sat at a stool. ¨What do you want stranger?¨ the bartender asked. I’ve me something cold and non-alcoholic. That all right?¨ I asked. ¨Sure kid,¨ he said. As he went to go get the drink someone sat beside me. He was already drunk. He was just cussing like crazy. I tried to ignore him and enjoy my drink. This guy was annoying. Oh well. Not my problem.

At that point a girl walked in. She couldn’t have been more then 17 or 16. She had an innocent look in her eye. Much like Meia one-chan. Then that drunken idiot saw her. I knew exactly what was about to happen. He got up and started to walk to her. He made an attempt to put the moves on her, but she was unaffected. Then he got pissed and was about to strike her. That was when I stepped in. Before he could attack I took over his shadow. With me in control of it he couldn’t move. ¨WHAT THE HELL?!? I CAN´T MOVE!!¨ he shouted. I walked over. ¨The next time you want to hit a girl, make sure I’m not around,¨ I said. He looked me right in my silver eyes. He could see I was serious. I let go of his shadow. As soon as he tried to hit me I changed my eyes to my phoenix eyes. They as you know they turn black. He looked really scared at that point. But that vodka he was drinking´ before because he still came at me. ¨Big mistake,¨ I said in a low voice. Suddenly a large dark mass came out of my shadow. It was a vicious shadow creature that was only to exist in myths. It was large and had horns, large gashing teeth, crimson skin, and looked like something that came out of a horror movie. ¨Get back,¨ I said. He turned pale and ran from the room. I called of the monster and went back to the bar. ¨Sorry bout that,¨ I told the bartender. ¨It’s ok. I’ve seen weirder. A day ago some guy came in with a hairstyle like yours. Thing is he had a set of wings,¨ he said. ´Wings?´ I thought. ´Who has a hairstyle like me but has wings?´ ¨Excuse me, but is this seat taken?¨ I looked up. It was that girl. ¨Take it,¨ I said. ¨I want to thank you for that,¨ she said. ¨Don’t worry about it,¨ I told her. ¨My name is Kari. What’s yours?¨ she asked. I looked at her in the eyes. ¨My name is Kimari Onry. A warrior of the dark,¨ I said.

An hour later I learned a lot about her. She told me she was separated with her friends. Quite sad really. But it was not my problem. that's when she said something that made it my problem. She said she was looking for the temple of darkness. The same place I was after. It made me think who she really was. I don’t know her all that well, but if she’s after the same thing I am then we both must have different motives for the secret that lies within it. The dark phoenix essence. The black ruby of the shadows. The stone born of the phoenix like my powers. ¨What is your interest in the stone?¨ I asked her. ¨It’s a science thing. See I’m a person who studies stones and artifacts. And I had heard about it from a reliable connection. He said it held unknown power. If that's true than it could do a lot of good for the world,¨ she said. I didn’t buy it. The only ones who know of the stones are the Phoenix members and the Dragons. She is not with us. She is an enemy. ¨Since I’m also looking for said stone I’ll accompany you for a while,¨ I said. ¨Yeah that would be a great idea!¨ She yelled. This way I’ll keep my eye on her. ¨A toast to a new alliance,¨ she said. I raised my glass. ¨To a new alliance,¨ I said. We clanged glasses and our quest was on.

Chapter 1

I hate June. I hate June. I hate June. I guess your wondering why I hate June. It is because of an abnormality that has been passed down the Yuroto family. Every June a set of wings will grow on my back and I can’t pull them back. So as you could guess I have to walk around with a giant set of wings on my back. Life is cruel. So anyway I was in route to Mt. Fuji. Where the temple for my stone was located. The fire ruby was what I was after. It is one of the seven elemental stones. But my question is why are there 7 stones and 6 of us? It didn’t make a lot of since to me. Recently I have been traveling alone. Avoiding all human contact what so ever. But today fate slapped me in the face again. ¨SANO-KUN!¨ a voice from above yelled. I knew who it was. I looked up to see Kagome coming at me at full speed. I knew what I had to do. I stepped out of the way. Just as I stepped she spun and landed on me. ¨Kagome, what are you doing?¨ I asked her. ¨I was flying overhead and saw your impressive wingspan. And I must say the cloak suits you quite nicely,¨ she said. ¨Oh well thank yo-. Don’t change the subject. you should be on your way to the temple in the sky to find your stone,¨ I said. ¨I already did,¨ she answered. Then she pulled out a gray emerald. It was the wind stone all right. ¨Wow. That was fast,¨ I said. ¨ Do you mind if I travel with you?¨ she asked. ¨I don’t see why not,¨ I answered. So we started to walk together. ¨Umm Kagome-san?¨ I asked. ¨What Sano-kun?¨ she said. ¨Can you stop feeling my wings?¨ I asked. She was stroking my wings like I was some stuffed Hawk at a zoo for display. She realized what she was doing and stopped. ¨Does it hurt when I do this?¨ she yanked out 3 feathers. ¨OUCH!! Yes that hurts!¨ I yelled.

We had been walking for a while. ¨Hey Sano-kun?¨ Kagome asked. ¨Yeah what is it?¨ I asked. ¨What is that thing around your neck?¨ she asked. ¨It is the ´Hawk’s Wing´ pendent my father gave to me the day I left home. It was passed down the Yuroto family for years,¨ I said. ¨Can you tell me the story behind it?¨ she asked. ¨Sure,¨ I answered. ¨ It was about 300 years ago. My ancestors were high-ranking monks and priestesses. Yuroto Ruku was the first to possess the pendent. Sealed inside of it was a gem with enormous power. They say it had the power to purify even the vilest of demons just by showing the stone. The legend goes that Ruku didn’t want the power to be used for evil purposes so he sealed the stone in the pendent and gave it to his only daughter. He told her to pass it down to her first-born child and have them do the same. Until the time was right to use its power once again. So hear it is now in cased in this pendent for who knows how long.¨ ¨Wow. that's some story,¨ Kagome said. ¨Thanks,¨ I said. ¨Well we aren’t in Kyoto anymore. Look she said. I looked ahead. We had reached Tokyo. One of the most populated cities in the world. Its streets were busting with life and excitement. We walked into town and decided to rest for a while. ¨Since were here let’s do some sight seeing,¨ Kagome said. ¨ No. We are here on business. No time for sights,¨ I told her. ¨HELP ME!¨ a woman screamed. ¨Lets go!¨ I told Kagome. We took off in the direction we heard the scream come from. Then in an ally I saw a gang of thugs surround a girl. ¨Hey! Leave her alone!¨ I called to them. ¨Yeah right like we are going to listen to some dude in a cloak,¨ one of them said. He turned to help his friends. ¨ Kagome hold my cloak,¨ I said. I tossed it to her and dashed in. In seconds the Sakabato I kept at my side was drawn and tore through those thugs like a hot knife through butter. They all fell to the ground as I sheathed my blade. ¨Are you an angel?¨ the girl asked. At that moment I remembered my wings were out. She got up and started to touch them to see if they were real. ¨Hey! Hands off the wings Kagome chimed in. She walked up and wrapped me in my cloak till it started to choke me. ¨Can I ask what your name is Angle-san?¨ she asked. I got free. ¨My name is Yuroto Sanosuke. This is my friend Mikono Kagome,¨ I answered. ¨Well you Sano-san will be on the news at 7:00 P.M tonight,¨ she said. ¨Wha?¨ is all I could say. ¨I’m a news anchor for Tokyo news. And you are going to be a headlining piece,¨ she said. Like I said life slaps me in the face a lot. Crap

Chapter 1


Hey gang. Marco here. Now it’s my turn to tell ya what's up. I was currently dashing along the cloud tops. Being the Phoenix of lightning has its advantages. ¨Hmmm. It’s got to be around here somewhere,¨ I said. ¨Let me see the map.¨ I opened the map I had drawn up the day before I left Kira-san’s place. It said that I should look for the largest cumulo nimbus cloud in the northern most sky over Japan. But apparently moved. ¨Crap now I have to find it all over again. I had better find a place to rest,¨ I said. ¨Phoenix art: Wings of the Phoenix.¨ After growing wings I descended from the clouds. I looked down and realized I was over the ocean. I flew for about a half hour before finding land. I transformed back and started to look for an inn. I found myself at the nicest inn on the island. ¨There is no way I’ll be able to afford this,¨ I said. But where there is a will there is a way. Man I wish I had some cash. ¨How can I help you sir?¨ the lady at the desk asked. ¨Ummm, Ughhhh. What is the cheapest room you have?¨ I asked. ¨Let me see..... oh our cheapest room is 300,000 yen. Is that in cash our charge?¨ she asked ¨Ummmmmm,¨ I started. ¨He will stay in the finest room of this in. He is a friend of the owner’s daughter,¨ a woman next to me said. ¨You mean he is a friend of Kira Mizono? Heir to the Mizono hotel line? And how would you know this?¨ she questioned. ¨I am Mizono Kira,¨ Kira said. ¨Kira-san?¨ I asked. ¨Oh. I’m sorry Kira-sama. She turned on the TV just as the news came on.




”Today on T-TV we have the largest thunder storm on its way. Prepare for the storm of the century,¨ the ancere said. ¨So that is where the cloud went,¨ I said. ¨What cloud?¨ Kira asked. ¨ The cloud I’m looking for. It holds the temple of thunder inside it,¨ I said. ¨And today we have a special report by our own ancere women Kiriko Mitoto. Kiriko?¨ ¨that’s right. Today I was mugged by a group of thugs on my way to the studio. I thought for shore that I was in for disaster. But just like a hero a young man came to my aid. He was so fast they didn’t see him strike them all. And get this he had actual wings. He was so cool. And he had a girlfriend. Their here in the studio now please say good evening to Yuroto Sanosuke and Mikono Kagome!¨ she said as she introduced Sano and Kagome. ¨WHAT?!? SANO-CHAN AND KAGOME-CHAN ARE DATING?!?¨ Kira shouted. Then she fainted. I laid her on the bed and watched the interview. Sano was very nervous about it on TV. Though Kagome helped him get over it. It was funny to watch Sano freeze up on TV. After the end of the news I laid on the bed parallel to Kira’s. I put on my MP3 player and listened to L~arc~ne~Ceil´s Ready Steady Go. Then I fell asleep. I had a weird dream. Sano and Kagome were in a pool of blood while I was helpless to save them. Rage poured through my veins as I realized the inevitable. They were going to die and there was nothing I could do to save them. Just as it was my time to die Sano´s already tattered body got in the way. Protecting me from harm. I don’t know what was going on. But them his body was ripped to pieces in front of my eyes. I woke up panting and gasping for breath. I looked over and saw Kira knocked out. ¨Kira-san? Kira-san! Wake up!¨ I started to shout. She didn’t budge. Then I put a little electricity in my hand. and poked her. She screamed. ¨WHAT?¨ she asked. ¨Get dressed. Chapter 1


Hi you guys!^_^ Its Kagome this time. Sano and me are in Tokyo’s finest hotel right now. He said it was a gift from the interview lady. I guess that's what you get for being a hero. Though I don’t think he wanted his wings to be seen on city wide TV. ¨Sano-kun what's up? I asked him. ¨Something is coming. It is strong and violent. I don't like it,¨ he said. ¨Well what is it?" I asked him. ¨Thunder. Rain. Wind. You three to say the least,¨ he said. ¨What do you mean?¨ I asked puzzled. ¨You, Kira-san, and Marco-kun. hen you three fused. You created the Phoenix of the storm, Marino. So I sense that same power coming here,¨ he said. ¨Well I’m tired. Are going to be up late?¨ I asked. ¨Yeah,¨ he said. ¨Ok. See ya in the am,¨ I said as I left the room. I lay down on the bed and drifted to sleep. I bet you guys are wondering how I got my stone so fast. Well its because I sensed it in the flow of the wind. that's why Marco-kun didn’t give me a map. he said it was because all I had to do was use my wind powers to collect the pieces of it. My stone was broken into 50 different pieces. So I had to call them. I had to use every ounce of my power to gather the fragments. I had to summon them. As the winds blew a shard was found. After a while I found them all. Then I had to put them back together. Piece by small piece. But that's beside the point. After assembling my stone it glowed with a relaxing gray light shined. After that I left to find one of my friends. I was flying in the sky till I saw what looked like a giant bird on the ground. It weirded me out at first. So I looked harder. And as you know it was Sano-kun. Well fast-forward to tonight. Sano-kun went outside to train or something. I fell into a sound sleep. My dream was really bad. It was about Sano-kun and me. We were in a heated battle. He had sacrificed himself to save Kira-chan, Marco-kun, and me. Much like he did when he first went ¨Super Phoenix form¨. But this time he didn’t get back up. He lay there limp and unmoving. It was scary. I tried to help him but I couldn’t move. He was dead. I screamed at the top of my lungs. ¨Kagome-san! Are you OK?¨ Sano was standing over me. It was morning. ¨Sano-kun? Where are we?¨ I asked. ¨We’re at the hotel. Did you forget?¨ he asked. ¨I had a weird dream. I saw Kira-chan and Marco-kun. We were tied up. And then something bad happened,¨ I told him. ¨What?¨ he asked. I didn’t want to tell him I saw him die. ¨I don’t remember,¨ I lied. I think its best that he didn’t know. ¨You look kind of distracted, Sano-kun. what's up?¨ I asked. ¨That huge storm is here. And I have a really bad feeling about it. My wings have been cramped up for to long. I'm goin´ outside to Stretch them out. I’ll be outside if you need me,¨ he said and left the room. I thought about my dream for a while before I went outside to see him. The storm he was talking about was upon us. The winds were brutal. The rain was harsh. And the Thunder was in full force.




¨You who control the powers of Fire and Wind. What do you seek?!?¨ the cloud said. The cloud spoke! ¨I seek the power to protect my friends from danger,¨ Sano answered. ¨I want to save the world,¨ I said. ¨Then you must be tested by the ones who have forced me here,¨ it said. ¨Its been awhile. Sano-bozu. Kagome-san,¨ a voice called out. It was Jonuku. He Mino, Uzamaki, and Ruki descended from the cloud. Sano got really tense. ¨Wow. that's interesting Sano-bozu. I didn’t know about your wings when we first met,¨ Mino said. ¨Quiet you,¨ Sano barked back. ¨Sano-kun. Calm down,¨ I said. ¨That’s right ´Sano-kun´. Calm down. You’ll need to stay focused during our next fight. You will find your opponent to be quite overwhelming,¨ Ruki said. And down came this behemoth of a monster. ¨His name is Zetsumei. And you have to defeat him to continue. If you lose to him then you will die,¨ Ruki said. ¨SANO-KUN!!!¨ a voice called out. It was Marco and Kira. As soon as Kira saw Sano she went off. ¨SINCE WHEN WERE YOU AND KAGOME-CHAN DATING!?!¨ she yelled. ¨Its not what it looks like Kira-san,¨ he tried to explain. ¨The time to fight is now. Lets get to it,¨ Marco said. ¨You guys ready?¨ Sano called. ¨Always!¨ we answered. ¨FENIKKUSU KAIHEN!!!!¨ we all called. In minutes we were all transformed to Phoenix form. Sano still had his wings out. ¨Then let it begin!!!¨ Uzamaki called. The Zetsumei charged with the ferocity of a thousand raging storms. It roared with rage. It blew us all away. ¨This is bad,¨ Sano said. ¨I can take him!¨ Marco yelled and charged. ¨Marco-kun No!¨ I yelled. But it was to little to late. The creature had him in his grasp. ¨AAAAUUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!¨ he screamed in pain. ¨Marco! I’m coming!¨ Sano yelled charging full force. ¨FLAMING-TRI SLASH!!!!¨ he launched his ultimate attack that severed the creatures arm. ¨Marco, you ok?¨ he asked. ¨I’ll live. Time for Kunai,¨ he said. They removed their gauntlets and were about to hand them to the other. Then the creature’s arm grabbed a hold of Sano and threw him. He lost his gauntlet in the confusion. I franticly looked for it. When I found it I replaced it with one of mine. I found Sano on the ground 50 yards away. He was out cold. I slipped my gauntlet onto his arm and our fusion began. The first thing to happen was we became a girl. Our colors were red sleeves with gray flames patterns on the ends. Our pants were gray with red flames. Our hair was gray with red tips. The sword on my back was called Arashi. And the side sword on my belt was called Ho. My new logo was half fire and half wind. My eyes were to different colors. The left was gray and the right was red. ¨Now I am here,¨ I said. We rushed back to the fight. ¨Who are you?¨ Kira said after her failed attack. ¨My name is Sango. Phoenix of the burning wind. Now let me take a crack at this little guy, ¨ I said.

Chapter 1

Oh I wish Oni-san were here. Hi. It’s Meia right now. And I’m all alone. I have to find my stone and head back to Kira-san’s house. Sounds easy right? Well no one told e it would be in an old cave in the middle of the night. Normally I’m not afraid of the dark because my friends and brother are near. But now I’m all alone and there is no way of avoiding it. I have to do this. I looked into the cave. Bats started to fly out. I screamed really loud. I’ll go in in the morning. I think I saw something like a hotel earlier. I walked for a while in the dark until I found it. ¨Can I stay here for the night? ¨ I asked the manager. ¨Sure you can. For a mere 3000 yen, ¨ he answered with a smile. ¨Um, ok. I can swing that, ¨ I told him and handed him the money. I went up into the room he told me. It was not much but it was something. I went to sleep soon after. My dream was good. I was back at Kira-san’s house. Kira, Marco, Kagome, and oni-san were all there and laughing. ¨Where is Sano-kun? ¨ I asked. They all hung their heads. ¨Well? What happened? ¨ I asked again with more worry in my voice. ¨He is no more, ¨ oni-san said. ¨WHAT?!? HOW?!?¨ I screamed. ¨It was during the journey. He was overcome by malevolent forces and lost his will to live. He told us he was sorry, ¨ Marco said. ¨You couldn’t stop him? ¨ I asked on the verge of tears. ¨No. He went Super Phoenix form and defeated us. He said, ´My friends. I have failed you´. Then he stabbed himself, ¨ Kira said crying. ¨That can’t be, ¨ I said. ¨Who will lead us? ¨. ¨We don’t know, ¨ Kagome said also crying. ¨NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! ¨ I screamed. ¨Miss?!¨ I hared. I woke up to see the manger over me. ¨What? ¨ I asked. ¨You were screaming. Are you ok? ¨ He asked. ¨Oh yes I am. Just a bad dream, ¨ I said. (What was that just know?) I thought. (A premonition?) ¨Hey what time is it? ¨ I asked as he left the room. Noon, ¨ he said.


30 minutes later I was back at the cavern. As I went in it got darker and darker. It was as if I entered Yomi Itself. I finally found the temple entrance. As I opened the door a bright light engulfed me. As the light deemed I saw the inside. It was a perfectly preserved ruin. All the artifacts were preserved well. As I walked I took in the sights. Long crevices, wide valleys, and seemingly endless waves of gold and riches. They were not what I was looking for. What I was looking was more important. I was looking for the gem of light. Maybe this will help me with my dream. I wondered aimlessly for a good 2 hours. That’s when I found it. The shrine of light. And in the idles hand was the stone. I went up and pulled it free. The strange thing was that no traps were set off. Interesting. ¨So that's where it was, ¨ a voice from behind me. It was the manager of the hotel. ¨You followed me? ¨ I asked. ¨Yeah, see made a deal to someone who doesn’t like you. In return for killing you I gained the ability to use techniques of a few of your friends. You see my name is Kai Kurosaki, the dragon of rage, ¨ Kai said. ¨Then you know what I’m going to do, ¨ I said. ¨Yeah. Go ahead. It should make things more fun, ¨ Kai said. ¨Fenikkusu Kaihen! ¨ I yelled. I was engulfed in a bright light. My clothes changed and so did my brown hair. They were now my Phoenix colors. As did my eyes. ¨Let’s go, ¨ I said with a serious face. ¨Fine. RYUU GEKIDO! ¨ He called. He to transformed into his dragon form. He had a katana at his side. And so we fought.




I was fighting hard. The only problem was that I was a long-range fighter and he was short range. That would have been good, but I was running out of arrows. ¨You can’t keep this up can you? ¨ He called. I fired my last arrow and looked for him. (Great that was my last arrow. Now what?) I thought. ¨Whets the matter? Out of arrows already. Too bad. Dark Flame Strike! ¨ Kai yelled. He lunged at me with his sword drawn. He charged and slashed at me. I was able to dodge the fire attack. It was very hot. ¨Dark world lightning! ¨ This was a thunder strike this time. And this one hit my arm. It paralyzed me. ¨I can’t move, ¨ I said in pain. ¨Good. Then I have a captive audience. Dragon Art: Rage style! Bring the fear of death and the pain of defeat. Those who bloom with the crimson elixir of life. ONE THOUSAND CHERRY BLOSSOMS OF THE DARK REALM!!!! ¨ He chanted. His blade began to glow. He raised it above his head. ¨Now you die,” he said with an evil grin. All I could do was scream. Then the stone I had in my pocket started to glow. It engulfed me in an even brighter light then before. My clothes were changing. I was in the manner of a priestess. My jeans became a pair of loose cloth pants. They were bright yellow. My shirt changed to a robe. On my back came new arrows of purification and sealing. My hair was let down into a low ponytail tied at the end. My transformation was done. ¨What just happened? ¨ Kai questioned. ¨I got stronger. I never introduced my self did I? My name Is Meia Onry. The ´Super´ Phoenix of Light, ¨ I said. ¨Now. Where were we? ¨

Chronicle Water
Chapter One

Hello everyone. I am Kira Mizono. The Phoenix of water. Thought that is already known. Anyway. It’s my turn to talk. I’ll start at the beginning of my journey.
My travels started after I left home. According to the map Marco-kun gave me, I was to head to the ocean nearest Kyoto. And I went. My stone, the water’s tear, was located in a temple 50 meters below the surface. And being the water goddess I am I can breath under water. So I dove in. Already it was hard to see. As I got further down it got increasingly dark. With very little light I swam. Then I saw a strange structure in the distance. Could it be my temple? HELL NO!! It was a ruined ship thriving with sharks. I haled out of there as fast as I could. I kept swimming for about an hour. I thought to my self, ‘How is everyone else doing? I hope Sano-chan is ok.’ After resting I went back on the search. That’s when I came on to another structure. It was large and hade the kanji of water in the front. This was the place. I entered through a narrow pass and made it inside. There was an air pocket. I got out of the water and looked around. This place was covered with murals of horses. It was strange to think about it. Could this have been a monument of some kind? I thought about it and decided it was pointless to think about it. For a half an hour I walked around. Searching for any sign of life. All I kept seeing though were murals of a man riding on the waves. It was strange.


As I walked I pondered if these murals were related. Oh well. Who cares? Not me. Nor would the others. I looked at the last one. It was of the same man I saw but he had a three-pronged spear with a stone in the center. That must have been my stone. But it looks like I came to late. “Who enters my home?” a voice called out. He sounded like the American singer Barry White. “My name is Mizono Kira. Phoenix of the water. Who are you? Show your self!” I called. “My you have a lot of guts for a human girl. What is it you seek here?” he asked. “I seek the water’s tear!” I answered. “Well if you want it then you must take it. I am its guardian,” he said. “Who are you?” I asked again. “Silence insolent mortal. I am Poseidon. Lord of the seas. If you want the water’s tear you must defeat me in combat,” Poseidon answered. “Fine by me. Fenikkusu Kaihen!!!” I yelled. “Phoenix of Water!!!” “Let us begin,” Poseidon said charging. “Fine,” I said as I drew my daggers. He lunged at me with his trident. Nearly got me too. I spun and dodged the attack. I swung my daggers while his back was turned. I missed by a hair. He dodged it and countered. I blocked it but I was knocked back. “Having trouble little girl?” he asked as he rushed me again. “ This is nothing compared to the hell training Sano-chan gives me. Now it’s my turn. Rapid Falls Assault!” I turned my body to a near liquid form and rushed him.


He blocked the attacks but he was being forced back. “ Your might rivals that of a god. You are a truly worthy opponent. But know you must fall now. Sea Crusher!” He raised his trident towards the ceiling. Then water came streaming into the room. It surrounded my body and encased me. “Have fun escaping mortal. Now that I think of it you are rather beautiful to look upon. Will you be my bride?” he asked. “NO WAY IN HELL!!!!!!” I shouted. I unleashed a furious water attack and unraveled my prison. “Now you’ll taste real power. Phoenix Art: Water style!! Let the crashing waves reside. May the Waters edge run dry. Now let the wave of destruction be seen!! FINAL TSUNAMI!!!!!!” I yelled. All the water in the room came up behind me. Then it all crashed down on top of him. “AAAAAUUUUUUUUGGGHHHHH!!!!” he was washed away. All that remained was the trident. From it I pulled the stone from it. “And now I shall take my leave. Later Poseidon-dono,” I said as I left. “Its not over yet,” he called under a pill of ruble. He rose and stared at me. “So you got what you came for. But can you leave alive with it? Water’s reign,” he said. Then all the water in the room stared to form in the air. It was about to become a raging tempest. “He’s going to kill me if I don’t block this. But how?” I looked at the stone in my hand. “Okay. Lets do this. SU-PA-KAIHEN!!!!” I started to go super phoenix form. Like the last time my body got surrounded by water. My shirt was that of a Chinese dress. My eyes became more honed and allowed me to see movements of enemy’s with pinpoint accuracy. My daggers were now hooked and thicker. And my control of water was greatly improved. Now was the time for my frontal assault. I charged in and slammed Poseidon into the ground. “Give me one good reason I shouldn’t kill you right now,” I said to him. “Because I can end your friends life as soon as you kill me. The fire one. He is dear to you isn’t he? You would hate to see him hurt,” he said. “I’ll spare you this once. But be warned I will kill you if you threaten Sano-chan again,” I said walking away. I dove back into the water and left.


It was getting late. I decided to go find a hotel and stay the night. I swam a good 100 meters before for I found land. I went in to a large building that hade the Mizono crest on it. Signaling this was one of my father’s hotels. I walked up to the front desk and watched as a boy tried to get a room. He had green hair and was wearing a black jacket. I realized it was Marco-kun. After everything got worked out, Marco-kun and I went to our room. I went to sleep after seeing Sano-chan and Kagome-chan on T.V. My dream was wonderful. It was of all of us walking home after the journey was done. Sano-chan and I were holding hands ad laughing. Then as soon as things got good, something zapped me. I woke up to see Marco-kun over me, “What?” I asked. “ Get dressed. Were going to Tokyo,” he said.

Chapter 2

It’s me once again. If you recall I am now traveling with a girl named Kari. We have been traveling since daybreak. ¨Kimari-sempai? ¨ She asked. ¨ I told you don’t have to call me that, ¨ I said. ¨Well can you tell me something? ¨ She asked. ¨What? ¨ I said impatiently. ¨Well your leader, Sano-kun, his last name is Yuroto correct? ¨ She asked. ¨ Yeah that’s right. Why do you ask? ¨ I asked now interested. ¨Well Yuroto is my last name as well, ¨ she said. ¨What?!?" I screamed. ¨Yeah. My full name is Yuroto Hikari. Kari for short,¨ she said. ¨I was under the understanding that Sano-kun had no family to speak of. How are you related to him? I asked. ¨My father is his uncle. And when we had heard that his mother and father died we assumed that he too had perished. But now I know he is ok. He is isn’t he?¨ she asked with a concerned look on her face. ¨Yeah he is ok,¨ I replied. (So she is a member of the Yuroto branch,) I thought. (Well she is no threat. Not now anyway.) We walked for a while and then this weird felling swept over my body like a pelage. It was so evil that I started to shiver. My sweat ran cold. I could feel myself losing control. It was a lust for blood. An unspeakable hellion come forth from the underworld to lay waste to the land. ¨Sempai?¨ Kari asked. ¨We have to go. Now!¨ I began to yell. ¨Ok but where?¨ she asked. ¨ To Sano-kun,¨ I said. ¨But how?¨ she asked. ¨Like this. Fenikkusu kaihen!¨ I changed to Phoenix form. ¨Open wide gaits of darkness. Find the one I seek. Yuroto Sanosuke!¨ I called. Then a giant gait opened in front of us. It showed us a picture of a woman fighting a huge monster, losing badly. ¨Damn. Sano must have fused with Kagome-san. Well their going to need my help. Come on Kari-san,¨ I called to her. She and I went through. We were now at the scene of the battle. I saw Marco lying on the ground 12 feet away from me. He was out cold. ¨Marco-kun!!¨ I called. ¨Ugh. Did someone get the number of that train?¨ he said in a daze. ¨Yeah its ´look at that huge monster over there´,¨ I said. He looked over. ¨Oh no! Sango-san and Kira-san need help. What should we do?¨ he asked. ¨And who is the chick?¨ he asked her. ¨She’s a friend. And I think we should fuse. Its only to really help out,¨ I said. He nodded.



We exchanged gauntlets and the fusion was on. Our eyes were a very deep yellow with black all around. Our hair was now a black with yellow tips. It was styled down the way I like it. We now carried a Zanbato (long sword) on my back. My shirt was black with yellow sleeves. And my jeans were Yellow with black lightning patters on the sides. I was now Kurai-Kaminari Phoenix of the underworld storm. ¨Now it’s my turn. Kari-san stay here. This could get messy. I dashed into the battle without a word. Sango had been knocked into the air. I struck the beast and caught her in one sweep. ¨Who are you?¨ she said in my arms. ¨Kurai-Kaminari. How much time do you have left?¨ I asked her. ¨About 10 minutes,¨ she said. ¨Well, lets make the most of those 10 minutes,¨ I said. I set her down. ¨ lets go,¨ I said. I rushed in. ¨Now! RAGING SWORD OF DARK THUNDER!!!¨ I threw my sword into the head of the monster. Then a bolt of black lightning hit it square in the head. ¨My turn! WILD FIRE STORM!!!!¨ She called. She raised her blade to the sky. The clouds formed in what looked like a blazing column of fire. She thrust her sword down and the column fell with it. It struck the beast on the head and drove it into the ground. As Sango fell to the ground she defused. ¨Well that’s that,¨ Sano said. ¨I won’t be so sure if I were you Sano-kun,¨ I said. He looked over and the beast was crawling out of the hole. ¨Damn it!" he said. ¨What now? Sano is in a lot of trouble,¨ Kari asked. ¨I’m out of ideas,¨ I said. Then something happened. The monster unleashed a large ball of energy. It in golfed me. It forced the fusion to break down. ¨What the?¨ Marco asked. ¨LOOK OUT!!!!!¨ Kari said. Another blast. This one encased us in a cage. ¨We can’t move!¨ I said. Then it shoots another blast at the girls. Kira, Kagome, and Kira were also trapped.

Sano was the only one not trapped. ¨ if that’s the case. HAVE AT THEE VILE DEMON!!!!!!¨ he drew his blade and charged. ¨Fool. Now the time for your demise. CHAOS REIGN!!!!!!¨ the monster said. He formed a massive orb of energy in his hands. Within it he combined trace amounts of earth, metal, ice, and wood. It grew to enormous proportions. ¨Ah hell. Phoenix art: Fire style. Feel the fury of my anger. Dwell in the flames of my rage! Bring for the reign of the sun!!! SOLOR EMISSION!!!!!!¨ Sano called. He also started to form a ball of energy in his hands. It was filled with all his pain, all his anger, and all his rage. ¨Not enough little one,¨ the beast said. He launched it from his hands. It was rocketing right at Sano. ¨RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¨ He launched his blast. It paled in comparison to the opposing. Sano was consumed. After a flash of light the dust cleared. All we saw was a bloody mess with Sano in the middle. ¨SSSSSSAAAAAAAANNNNNNNOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¨
