El Perfecto
Today was fun I guess. School was better than it usually is. I drew an awesome picture of my shoe in Art. We watched the rest of Brian's Song in D.L.A. We read a chapter from the science book in Science, then we watched a Bill Nye movie which we didn't end up finishing. Social Studies wasn't too bad. I think all we had to do was write a "double journal entry" thingamabob. I sure as hell better get an A on it; I worked my ass off and wrote my reactions and feelings about six different pieces of information(we only needed 5 but I had extra room on my paper and some extra time). Plus I wrote extremely small just to fit everything on there.

In Jumpstart, we had our eighth grade market day. Boy did the company that I've created with a few other people do good. We sold out! We had these mini pinatas, a hat with some candy and a can of bubbles on it, and I sold my fan picture from art. I've also got plans to draw some more art this weekend. I started as market day was ending, but I didn't have like the colors that I needed or anything.

In English we did this thing where you have a picture(or in this case, twelve pictures) that represent a word or word's and you have to figure out what it is. That was ok, but some of the pictures were pretty hard. In Math we had an accelerated math test. At least I only had three objectives to do. Usually I have about ten, but I took a half test on Tuesday during CEWT. Plus on my practices I've only been getting a few objectives at a time and a bunch of reviews.

Spanish...we just picked out twenty-five vocabulary words, wrote them down on a piece of paper and then Mrs. Nickerson collected the papers and handed them out for everyone to put down what the english word for the spanish word was. I didn't even remember some of the words that were on the paper I got. There were only two I didn't put down an answer for and a third one I wasn't too sure on. Then in CEWT we did our Teacher's First brain twister which was extremely easy this week. Then everybody had to take all of the stuff out of their portfolios. Well, except for a few people. Me included. Mrs. Wolfe wanted to keep a few people's who's were really nice as examples for next year. I still got to take a few things out of it, though. I decided just to take out all of the drafts of My American Hero essay and give them to my mom. She'll be happy ^_^

And then, when I got home, Uncle Alvin asked me if I wanted to go to the ice races on Bass Lake. I said I wanted to, so I headed off to my room, grabbed my snowpants and then put my snowpants and boots on and my coat and waited for Alvin, Lonnie and Brandy(Alvin's fiance) to get ready to go. Once we got there, it was so much fun. I mean, just watching the guys drive around the track that had been plowed on the ice. It was so awesome. So fricken awesome. It wasn't an official race or anything; sort of just practice for the actual race which is next weekend at a different lake. But it was really cool.

After we got home, I was really tired...I ended up going and laying down. I woke up at around 9 PM, reached over to my alarm and set it for 10 PM and I didn't end up waking up again until 10:40 PM. Guess I'm just a bit of a heavy sleeper these days. But when I woke up I was worried that it was too late to post today, but lo' and behold, it wasn't. Thank god. =P

Ugh, but I've had this horrible...feeling in the back of my throat all day. Like there's something there but I can't hack it up. Damnit. Its probably my tonsils or something. They probably fricken grew back and I'm going to end up getting tonsilitus...I hate getting tonsilitus. *cries* And I can't stop coughing either so my mom gave me an Allegra and handed me a bag of Halls cough drops. Whee. I love cough drops.

And more whee, Xio, Alexa and I are going snowboarding tomorrow! Yahoo! Hooray! Whoo! I can't fricken wait! I'm so fricken excited!
