Dragnet part six
“So where’s Pulchra now?” asked Cascon more seriously.
“I don’t know, the Jagpith took her,” replied Gilgal.
“Damn, we needed her to reach the treasure,” grunted Cascon.
“Why?”
“Because in order to acquire the treasure, four royals need to be present,” explained Cascon.
“So that’s why you brought them along. I thought you actually wanted them here,” replied Gilgal.
“No, I didn’t, but I had no other choice. Though I do wish that it could be like the good ol’ days when it was just you an’ me. Yeah those days were the best,” said Cascon.
“So do you plan on sharing the treasure with them?” asked Gilgal.
“Well I suppose I’ll have to since they did risk their lives to come here.”
“Yeah I guess so,” said Gilgal. “We better get going and find the others before they die and make this treasure hunt in vain.”
The two warriors got up and walked to the body of the dead Chicony. It had turned into a pair of cloaks.
“Well there’s one good thing that came from finding the Chicony. We got these new special cloaks,” said Cascon.
“What’s so special about them?” asked Gilgal.
“The cloaks from a dead Chicony have the power to make the wearer able to run at incredibly high speeds,” explained Cascon.
“Cool,” replied Gilgal. “I want the blue one.”
“Fine I’ll take the brown one,” said Cascon. “Oh yeah, there is one drawback to the cloaks.”
“What is it?” asked Gilgal.
“The cloaks feel very heavy for about two hours. Only after the two hours do the powers start to work,” replied Cascon.
“I’m gonna wear mine. Do what you want,” said Gilgal.
“I’ll wear mine, too,” said Cascon.
There was a silence for a while.
Then Cascon said, “Let’s wait here for two hours then get on with our journey.”
“Sounds good to me,” replied Gilgal.
An hour past and the two heroes became very bored.
“Let’s go. I’m tired of this waiting. Let’s just go,” said Gilgal impatiently.
“Yeah, I’m getting’ really bored just waitin’ here. Let’s go,” Cascon said agreeing.

hope you like it. part seven comin' soon. plz tell me how you like it so far.

Dragnet part five
The Chicony was maniacally smiling at them. Gilgal and Cascon stopped dead in their tracks and fell silent.
“He-he-he-he-he-he-he!” screamed the Chicony madly.
“Run now while we still have the chance,” commanded Cascon.
“I’d like to see just how tough this Chicony is,” replied Gilgal.
“You’ve never had to face one of these things; I have. Trust me; you don’t want to fight it,” pleaded Cascon, but Gilgal would just not consent.
“Fine, then I’ll just face it with you,” said Cascon.
Gilgal said, “All right.”
The Chicony had just stopped screaming, and it had started staring at them again. There was no movement in the room for a long time. The Chicony stared at Cascon and Gilgal, and they stared back – no one moving a muscle.
Suddenly, the Chicony ran very quickly at them. This was amazing speed for something of its size. I tried to hit them with its sharp halberd, but Cascon and Gilgal dodged the attack.
“Whoa! That thing’s fast,” exclaimed Gilgal.
Before Cascon could reply, the Chicony ran at them again, but this time it jumped over them and came back from behind. They were caught off-guard and were sent flying through the air. The Chicony began sucking the energy out of Cascon. When Gilgal came back to his senses, he punched the Chicony right in the gut. It flew into the air to get away and recover. In the meantime, Cascon too came to his senses.
“I’d like to see just how tough this Chicony is,” said Cascon in a mocking manner. “Just how tough indeed!”
“Fine, I’m sorry, but can we just get this over with now that it’s already begun?” asked Gilgal.
The Chicony came down and began screaming again. This time the two men attacked, but the Chicony was too smart to fall for it. It dodged their blows and countered with its own. It now charged at them with its halberd. Cascon drew his sword while Gilgal took out his nunchucks.
“Let’s end this now!” screamed Cascon. He was filled with such anger, as Gilgal had never seen in him before. He went on a mad rampage attacking the Chicony while Gilgal stared amazed. “NOT THIS TIME!” shouted Cascon filled with hatred. “DIE!” He charged at it with full force, but because he was not using his head, he was over powered after he had done some considerable damage. The Chicony knocked him aside and came after Gilgal.
“Looks like it’s my turn now,” mumbled Gilgal a little afraid. “But I won’t lose because this one’s for you Cascon,” thought Gilgal inspired by Cascon’s fierce battling.
Gilgal tactfully attacked the Chicony without sustaining much damage himself. Eventually, he defeated the Chicony.
Gilgal thought, “Thank God Cascon weakened it for me.”
Gilgal rushed to Cascon to see if he was fine, but Cascon had been badly injured.
“You went crazy there. What happened?” Gilgal asked Cascon referring to the intense battle.
“I’d rather not talk about it, but why were you so bloody when I found you?” asked Cascon.
“Oh yeah, I almost forgot–” began Gilgal.
“Almost forgot?” interrupted Cascon.
“Okay so I forgot. Anyways, Pulchra and me were attacked by a Jagpith.” Stated Gilgal.
“What’s a Jagpith?” asked Cascon.
“It’s a mean lookin’ thing. It looks sort of like a jaguar with the head of a cobra, except it stand on two feet and has falcon-like claws on them and the hands are like human hands,” replied Gilgal.
“Well that was informative,” said Cascon jokingly.

Dragnet part four
He continued towards the opening, and then the room flashed another time. But this time it was different. The light flashed white, and it did not go away. Cascon looked around the room to see that it was filled with faint blue fires. The fires were surrounding something that looked like a person, but before Cascon could reach it, Gilgal called out, “Cascon, is that you?”
Cascon turned to see a bloody Gilgal walking towards him.
“What happened to you?” asked Cascon.
“We – me and Pulchra – we were attacked by a-.” His sentence was interrupted by one of the flames suddenly erupting. After a few second it stopped, and they were in a room made of carpet, extremely comfortable carpet.
“What just happened?” asked Gilgal.
“I don’t know, but it was freaky,” replied Cascon.
“What’s that?” asked Gilgal sleepily.
“Whaaaah?” asked Cascon while yawning at the same time.
Gilgal was looking at a giant round clown-like creature. The creature looked like a fat evil clown.
“That!” shouted Gilgal angrily.
“Oh. That’s a – Oh no! That’s a Chicony. They are evil creatures that can suck all the energy from you. Plus they look freakin’ scary!” Cascon gasped.
“I’m taking it that I should be afraid,” said Gilgal. “I guess ignorance is bliss.”
“This is no laughing matter. Just try not to wake it up,” pleaded Cascon.
“Okay, okay,” replied Gilgal, but it was too late; the Chicony was staring right at them.

Dragnet part 3

The sound had again come from below.
"I wish I hadn't come alone." said Cascon.
"But you're not alone now, are you?" said the same deep voice.
"Who are you?" shouted Cascon, but there was no reply.
He began to walk towards the opening, and the room flashed for the third time, but this time Cascon noticed a huge dark shadow creature hidden in a corner, so he drew his sword and said, "Fight me like a man you coward!"
"But I'm not a man, am I?" replied the voice.
The room flashed again and Cascon saw the creature running away.
"That was close." said Cascon realizing that he had got off lucky.

   Dragnet part two

The room that Cascon entered was eerily but faintly glowing blue. Otherwise, the room was black except for an opening at the far end of the long room. Cascon began to draw his sword when suddenly the room flashed gold for a second. Because of this, Cascon drew his sword quickly and listened intently for a sound. Because he heard none, he continued cautiously. He walked slowly toward the opening, and when he was about fifteen feet away from it, the room flashed again, but this time a deep demonic voice spoke.
It said, "Death - death - death! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. It is so sweet."
"Who's there?" shouted Cascon, but no one replied.
A blood-curling scream was then heard. Cascon became very nervous.
