The Mistake - chapter three
here is the next part of The Mistake. hope you like it.

The next morning Dran woke up with a startle. He thought he heard something outside, but when he went to check he saw nothing unusual. He quickly got dressed and left the motel to begin his flight again.
As Heathrow was leaving the inn he saw a couple guys from the Eternal Bliss. He then realized that the noises had been them. Then he began to wonder how the Eternal Bliss had found him so easily when even the police could not. He waited a few minutes to eavesdrop on their conversation.
Dran realized that it was just a coincidence that the Eternal Bliss guys were there. They had come just to check up on one of their unfortunate “customers.”
After finding this out, Heathrow did not go back to his room. He fled the motel in the opposite direction that he had come from the day before.
Heathrow had walked about a mile when he caught sight of a couple more guys of the Eternal Bliss. They were killing a man. After they brutally murdered the man, they fled into the street.
It was then that Heathrow noticed across the street, a car with the doors open and the keys inside. He quickly ran over to it and sat in. The car had been the dead man’s. From the looks of the car, the murdered man had been a rich crime boss.
The car was a very nice new Stallion, the best car of its breed. The Stallion had a white exterior and a fine white leather with gold lining for the interior. The dashboard was also white with a little gold. The car’s bumper was gold as was the wheels. Dran’s favorite part of the car was the steering wheel. It was white and gold checkered leather. The entire car had a white and gold theme.
Heathrow stuck the keys in, started the car, and quickly drove away from the scene. He had driven about twenty miles when he started running out of gas. He stopped at a gas station and filled up his tank.
While he was filling up the gas, his eyes fell on another issue of the Speed. This issue stated that the police knew where Dran had headed and that they were hot on his trail.
Heathrow also noticed a peculiar ad in the paper. It said, “Accidentally killed someone? Police after you? Then come to Meteora Law Offices located not very far from you.” Heathrow somehow felt that this was an ad from a friend who was trying to help him, so he bought one copy of the paper and left the gas station.
Dran had gotten pretty far without any trouble so far. He had stopped at a restaurant to eat, but no one seemed to notice he was “Mysterious Murderer” as the Speed had christened him.
The rest of the day had nothing interesting to offer, and Dran was quite happy about that. He hoped that this would happen everyday, but he knew eventually he would be caught in an uncomfortable position.
Before the day was over, Heathrow decided to get directions to Meteora Law Offices so he could meet with his “friend.” He stopped to ask an old man walking on the street, but the man knew nothing about the law offices. He went on and later asked a lady who was taking her children out to ice cream. She said that the law offices were located another 1,500 miles from there. Heathrow thanked her and drove off in search of a motel or something in which he could sleep.
Dran rented a room at a motel named Skyway Inn and slept until morning.
