The Best of 04!!
Yes, you read that correctly. You see, while most people are dwelling on the best of '03, I prefer to look towards the future. So, here's what I see as the things to look for in 04.
Comics:
*Spider-Girl has been guarenteed up to issue #81. Now, after going all that way, can she go the distance to ish 100?
*Speaking of which, Spider-Girl will also get a manga-style trade edition, along with the Tsunami titles. ^__^
*Mark Miller will hopefully impress me with his new SPider-Man title.
*JMS will finally wrap up his Totem storyline...I hope...
Manga:
*Hmmm...not much to say here...more Shaman King, please...
*Digimon: Tamers!
TV:
*The return of Scrubs, Angel, and Smallville!
*The Friends finale
Anime:
*New Inu-Yasha, Yu-Gi-Oh, Ninja Turtles, Jackie Chan, Sonic X, etc.
*....Astro Boy?
*Hopefully they'll bring back Mega Man NT Warrior; they took it off the air just when it was getting interesing.
*Invader Zim on DVD
Movies:
*Three words: Spider-Man II
Yu-Gi-Oh:
*Invasion of Chaos, featuring the Messengers.
*Evo Decks
*Hoping for Blade Knight and Executioner Makyura...
*Worldwide edition 2004
Whew....that's all for now...I'm bored...
Thought of the moment: Have you read "The Sol Chronicles"? Why not? Have I offended you in some way?

See you next year!
Well, as the evening winds down, I've decided to not go into the usual self-indulgent look backs on the year. If it was important, I'd have told you already. ^_^
Anyway, I uploaded two new chapters to "The Sol Chronicles". It's at the same address I posted yesterday. I wish somone would actually read it and comment.
Speaking of comments, I've noticed that I've gotten almost no comments recently, and my ratings have dropped...it's probably just that people are are busy over the holidays (which I'm totally down with...whew...)
I also realise that no one cares about Offspring lyrics...chaulk that up to a failed experiment.
To end 2003, I bought a pack of YGO cards. I pulled Dark Master-Zorc. ^__^ Also got Dark Scoirpion-Chick the yellow, Sasuke Samurai #2 and Despair from the Dark.
My personal fave card, though, was Acrobat Monkey; I'm very dissappointed that they didn't make it look like Tristan; that would have been hilarious. =)
Thought of the moment: I start 2004 as an Otaku husband....I don't know if I'll be able to handle the responsibility...
Quote of the moment: "It's nothing personal, but you have to die now." -Tybalt, "The Sol Chronicles"

If I had a million dollars...
...I'd buy more manga. REally. I was at a bookstore, and suddenly decided to count all the titles I'd like to at least read a volume of:
Ranma 1/2
Rorouni Kenshin
Rising Stars of Manga
Inu-Yasha
FLCL
Chobits
No Need for Tenchi
Excel Saga
Big O
Lupin III
Dang...and that's just what I remember. Needless to say, I don't buy anywhere near that much. Think I might be more of a manga fan than anime fan. Why not? Manga is, after all, a fusion of comics and anime. I like comics. I like anime. Manga+DeathBug = :) Besides, anime is a lot more expensive. $20 for a DVD doesn't sound too apealing for something I might hate.
Then, that's the Thing, isn't it? I can't know which anime I really like until I see it, but I can't see most of it unless I buy it, and I won't buy it unless I really like it. I need to join a club or something. Anyone get around this particular problem? Am I doomed to be at the mercy of Cartoon network, Kids' WB and FoxBox for all eternity?
A while ago, I was working on an original fiction, but life intervened. Iv'e decided to revive it. In the meantime, here's a link tol what I wrote thus far, the Sol Chronicles:
http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24640&perpage=15&pagenumber=1
Enjoy. ^__^
Thought of the moment: Blink 182 + Lead singer of the Cure = :)DB:)
Quote of the moment:
I'm seeing this girl and she just might be out of her mind
Well she's got baggage and it's all the emotional kind
She talks about closure and that validation bit
I don't mean to be insensitive, but I really hate that s***
Oh man she's got issues
And I'm gonna pay
She thinks she's the victim
Yeah
Now I know she'll feel abandoned
If I don't stay over late
And I know she's afraid to commit
But it's only our second date
Oh man she's got issues
And I'm gonna pay
She thinks she's the victim
But she takes it all out on me
I don't know why you're messed up
I don't know why your whole life is a chore
Just do me a favor
And check your baggage at the door
Now she talks about her ex nonstop, but I don't mind
But when she calls out his name in bed
That's where I draw the line
You told me a hundred times how your father left and he's gone
But I wish you wouldn't call me daddy
When we're gettin' it on
Oh man she's got issues
And I'm gonna pay
She's playing the victim
And taking it all out on me
My god she's got issues
And I'm gonna pay
If you think I'm controlling
Then why do you follow me around
If you're not co-dependent
Then why do you let others drag you down
I don't know why you're messed up
I don't know why your whole life is a chore
Just do me a favor
And check your baggage at the door

I started an RPG!
So...why don't you join? Come on...you know you want to...come on...
It was originally my Duel Monsters fic, but I realized that it would play as a great RPG...
Thought of the moment: Why are you still reading this?! Go join my RPG!!
Quote of the moment:
Like the latest fashion
Like a spreading disease
The kid`s are strapin`on their way to the classroom
Getting weapons with the greatest of ease
The gangs stake their own campus locale
And if they catch you slippin` then it`s all over pal
If one guy`s colors and the others don`t mix
They`re gonna bash it up
Hey -man you talkin`back to me?
Take him out
You gotta keep `em seperated
Hey-man you disrespecting me?
Take him out
You gotta keep `em seperated
Hey they don`t pay no mind
If you`re under 18 you won`t be doing any time
Hey come out and play
By the time you hear the siren
It`s already too late
One goes to the morgue and the other to jail
One guy`s wasted and the other`s a waste
It goes down the same as the thousands before
No one`s getting smarter
No one`s learning to score
Your never ending spree of death and violence and hate
Is gonna tie your own rope

Stimulating the economy...
The only thing crazier than the day after Thanksgiving at the mall is the day after Christmas. So, of course, that's right where I went.
$ale$, baby. ^__^ I got the new Offspring CD I wanted, as well as various other scavengings from the out-of-business SAm Goody. I'm particularly pleased with my Gorillaz British import singles. ^__^
I saw "The Haunted Mansion"; not great, but not really bad, either. Except I went to the movie alone. I don't know why I keep going to movies even when I can't get my friends to go; I always end up depressed. Stupid couples...
Everything is a rerun this week, and probably next week...so I don't have anything to rant about...
Well, except they showed the episode of Yu-Gi-Oh where Tea visualizes herself dressed as the Dark Magician Girl; it ocurred to me that Tea in such an outfit is probably lil' Yugi's biggest fantasy ever.
I don't know why I bothered to type the above paragraph, but I figure that you folks are coming here expecting to read something, so I might as well fill up some space, even if I have no actual substence as of this moment. Aren't I considerate?
Thought of the moment: Go read Bandit's new fic; it's cool.
Quote of the moment: I'm going to try something a little different, and theme my quotes. This week's quotes will be my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands ever, the Offspring. Enjoy. ^__^
Nothing changes cause it's all the same
The world you get's the one you give away
It all just happens again
Way down the line
There is a chain that's never broken
You know the story it's sad but true
An angry man gets drunk and beats his kids
The same old way his drunken father did
What comes around well it goes around
Nothing changes cause it's all the same
The world you get's the one you give away
It all just happens again
Way down the line
At 17 Shannon is pregnant
As young as her mom when she had her
Her kid is never gonna have a dad
The same old way that Shannon never had
What comes around well it goes around
Nothing changes cause it's all the same
The world you get's the one you give away
It all just happens again
Way down the line
And all the things you learn when you're a kid
You'll f*** up just like your parents did
It all just happens again
Way down the line
And welfare moms have kids on welfare
And fat parents they have fat kids too
You know it's never gonna end
The same old cycle's gonna start again
What comes around well it goes around

And one this day the Savior was born...
It's Christmas!!!! Yay! *Dances Christmas jig*
Well, let's break it down now. I got:
Yu-Gi-Oh: The Sacred Cards: A kick-ares YGO RPG. I get a kick out of seeing chibi versions of every character, even Bonz. The only thing I do'nt like is the element hiercy; a Morphing Jar can slap the crap out of Jinzo...that's not right...and speaking of the Mack Daddy...
*Jinzo tin: I have the worst pull uck, but I did get "Backup Soldier" and "Mask of Brutality". And, of course, Jinzo. >:)
*Spider-Man Encyclopedia: Sweet Jeezum Crow, there's guys in this book even I've never heard of...
*Blink-182: Nice CD; I'm listening to it now.
*Sour Starbursts: Yum...
*A can of Spam
*Cash: the gift that always fits.
Well, we packed up all the Christmas decorations this afternoon; we won't have time to tomorrow; I'm accompanying my mother and sister on a shopping excursion...this way lies maddness, I'm sure. I need pants and new windshield wiper blades, manga I've been unable to get, and...other stuff, I guess...
I wrote the first chapter of a fan fic and posted it on the Otakuboards last night. It's called "Duel monsters: The Quest for Exodia". So, yeah, if I get some feedback, I might continue. Give it a look, won't ya'?
A merry CHristmas to one and all. ^__^
Thought of the moment: What's with established bands releasing self-titled albums all of a sudden?

Christmas Countdown: T-minus 1 night & Counting!!
Yaaaaayyyy!!!!!
Oh, Bandit Joeykuba and I are married as of today. ^__^
Now, go to bed, even if it's noon! It's Christmas Eve!!
Thought of the moment: "Freaky Friday" was pretty good.

Christmas Countdown: 3 Days left!
You know, almost nothing eventful happened today. I didn't do anything interesting, and I didn't think anything particularly witty, clever or exciting.
But I am getting a Jinzo tin. ^____^ All is right with the world.
Thought of the moment: Wish I hadn't notied my number ranking on myOtaku...now I'm obsessed with it...

Countdown: 4 Days Until Chrsitmas!
Whee...a new pizzaria opened in town that has the best deal ever! If you go to Bloomingdale High School, from 2 to five in the afternoon, you can get two slices of pizza and a large coke for $2. ^__^ Good stuff, that.
So...I'm scared of Wal-Mart this time of year, but that's nothing compared to the terror I feel from the Mall. Fortunatly, the Mall isn't near any place I have to go, at least until the 26th.
I've got to read a small novella that's completely in Spanish for my (duh) Spanish class. It's pathetically simple, at the fourth grade level. Hey, extra credit is extra credit. ^__^
I finally got X2!! *Does X2 happy dance* It was, in fact, cooler than what I remembered. Nightcrawler rocks!!
Also whilst at the store got my second DCR pack.
Outstanding Dog Marron: This cute lil' critter goes back into your deck when sent to the graveyard, similar to Sinister Serpant. However, he's inferior to Serpant, because you don't want to topdeck him in a jam.
Checkmate: A card with a cool name, Checkmate is for fiend decks. Offer 1 Archfiend monster to let Terroking attack directly. A bit situational, IMO, but has a very cool pic.
Spell Reproduction: Crap. You send two Spells to the Graveyard to return 1 to your hand. Who'd waste a Spell card like that?
DarkBishop Archfiend: An unplayable Archfiend with a neat picture.
Guardian Kay'esy: A cool mermaid with a useful effect. She can't be attacked or affected by Magic cards. too bd you need her equip card on the field to summon her.
Gagagigo: Repeats already?
Final Attack Orders: Remember Stop Defense? Meet its big brother. This permanant trap forces all face-up monsters into attack mode.
Mustering of the Dark Scorpions: If you have Don Zaloog on the field, you can Special Summon one of each of the other Scorpions from your hand. Fits perfectly with DS Combination.
Blindly Loyal Goblin: Ugly picture, but currently the most useful lvl 4 warrior outside of GAF.
I only saw one new show this weekend, and that was Yu-Gi-Oh. Of course, Kaiba wins his duel, but I'm actually quite interested in Noa's accusations regarding he and Mokuba. Is Kaiba really such a cretin that he'd manipulate Mokie? I vote yes.
Oh, and monkey Tristen continues to be hilarious, and Bandit pointed out last week. ^__^
Thought of the moment: I need to send my Christmas e-cards...
Quote of the moment: "Sounds like Santa's here! Raise the shields, children!" -Mr. Sludgey, "Invader Zim: The Most Horrible Christmas Ever"
