Dawn after Dark
I'm on break! Wh00000000000t!! No more exams! I got a B for the semester in Spanish! Ye-hah!!
*Ahem*
Well, I've been so busy with school that I've left a lot of stuff undone. So...first, ranting.
I have no anime that I'm currently following, with the exception of Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King. Inu-Yasha is in reruns, TF: Armada ended, I've seen all of Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Blue Gender and FLCL...gah!!
Comic rants, because one person asked for them:
Spectacular Spider-Man #2/3: Dok Ock kicks it into high gear by kidnapping a Palestinean ambassador who's a major link in the Middle east peace process. Ock's demands are simple: Spidey must reveal his identity to the world, or the hostage dies.
This is good stuff, here. The Ambassador is actually a character, which is odd for a comic hostage. Peter's in a horrible position, and I can't wait to see what he decides to do.
Spider-Girl: Well, now....this ish was entirely predictable, until it was revealed that Brad was one of the punks hasseling Nancy.
Nancy was recently "outed" as a mutant, and a group of bigots starts harassing her. Spider-Girl and the Buzz drop by to help, and May realizes that one of the punks is Brad, her long time friend/occassional boyfriend.
Wow. I mean, wow. I really did not see something like that being revealed to such a long time cast member.
Ultimate Six #5: Curse you, Bendis!! How do you expect me to wait a month for the next issue?! Osborn kidnapps Peter, then heads his goon squad to the White House lawn, only to be intercepted by the Ultimates! I can't wait for the showdown!! I want a show down!!
Wanted #1: Gah. This is what I get for giving Mark Millar a third chance. The man has so much potential, but his execution is always so flawed...
There's this guy, and it turns out he's an heir to his absent father's fortune. The catch is, his late father was a super villian, and a member of an organized super villian syndicate. To get the money, his son has to join the club and play the game for a year. If he tries to opt out, they'll kill him. Wonder what he's gonna' do?
The premise was great, and it's exactly the kind of thing I like, but Millar's trying to be so "Real world" that he's just being stupid. Every other word is the "F" word. Did we need the gay porno film scene? What the hell is Millar trying to do?!
Millar has one more chance, but not with this book. I won't be getting ish #2.
Let's see...I bought a back of "Dark Crisis" card. ^__^ They were a gift to myself after my last exam. Let's see...
GaGaGiGo: I love this car'ds name. ^_^ He's a Water-attribute reptile with 1850 attack. (Face it, mechanical Chaser, you're dead.) Not something Id' use, but pretty cool-looking.
Nin-Ken Dog: An 1800 Beast Warrior. Next!
Battle Footballer: A unique card; it's a machine with 100 atk and 2100 def. 2100. Hmmm...
Arsenal Summoner: Support for Guardian Monsters. Why dso they keep making monster clans like Guardians, Amazons, unions and Gravekeepers, then never releasing more cards for them? Sigh...
Ray of Hope: Recycle two Light monsters from your graveyard to your deck. ^____^
Precious Cards from Beyond: A useless Magic card.
Dark Scorpion Combination: My Rare from this back, it's actually a cool card. If you have all the dArk Scorpions on the field, (Donny Z, Cliff, Chick, Gorg & Meanae), they can all attack directly, thus all their effects go through at once. Wouldn't wanna 'be on the recieving end of that. I believe there's a card that gets all of the Scorpions out, as well. Too bad I only have "Cliff the Trap Remover". ^^;
Non-Spellcasting Area: The coolest card pic I've seen in a while! The background is the Dark Hole pic of a black hole. In the center are the Gemeni Elves,, casting a spell that's tossing the Goblin Attack Force around like rag dolls. That's just cool.
My personal fave card of the pack: Little Winguard: Used by Joey, called "Tiny Guardian" on the show. The Winguard has 1400 atk, and 1800 def. His ability? He can change his Position in the End phase. So, he can attack, the change to defense mode. Very nice. The only thing I would have done was add 100 points to his defense, so he could survive Archfiend Soldiers.
Expect more from me now that I'm a free man!
Thought of the moment: I'm bumping one Amazon Archer to make room for Little Winguard...

Exams...suck...
Sure, I'm all calm now; I don't have an exam tomorrow. The day after, though....well, the plus side is that I get my hardest exam out of the way first. ^__^
Normally, I don't comment on political events, because that so totally isn't in keeping with the tone of this site, but I'd like to voice my jubilation at having one of the worst dictators of modern times in custody. Love the war or hate it, I think we all feel better knowing he's been caught.
Now...I need help from you guys. I've never quite had a problem like this before. Some jackass has been PMing insults to a friend of mine; he almost made her cry.
I offered to make her back off, but...I realized I have no way of enforcing any sort of threats.
Any ideas? ^^;;;
Thought of the moment: I'd love to kick that guy's ass...

Whew...
Well, it's been a couple a' days; I've been busy. Let's see...
My friend whom I realized I had a crush on informed me that we should "just be friends"...but then made me pay for the movie. What? Yeah, try that again, lady...
I have the absolute worst luck at Magician's Force pulls. I've got four Burning Beasts, two Apprentice Magicians, three Autonomous Action Units, two Aitsus, three Dimension Jars, no foils....ick...
I saw "Gothika". Please, in the name of all that is good and holy, do not see that piece of trash. I beg you.
I got the new issues of Spider-Girl and Spec. Spider-Man, but no one ever replies to my comic reviews. Ergo, I believe no one reads them. As a result, I won't be writing them any more. If I am alertered that this is not the case, I'll remedy the situation.
Saw the end of TF: Armada. Big letdown. And they killed off Screamer, who was easily my favorite character. In TF series, my favorite character(s) always dies. Dinobot, Inferno, Jetstorm, Thrust, Starscream...seriously, this is freaking me out!
So...Yu-Gi-Oh....Am I the only one disappointed that the last Big 5 member is a monster we're well-aquanited with? I liked that the Five were new monsters we had'nt seen before; couldn't he have been Ryu-Senshi, or something? Anyway, I'm liking this new guy, and it's nice that Nesbitt didn't get blown away...yet...
Oh, big surprise, Mokuba was kidnapped again....that's six times now...
Kaiba: "Mokie, for your own safety, I'm afraid Iv'e got to lock you in your room and never let you out ever again."
And, once again, I want Kaiba t get his arse handed to him, but I know that won't happen. Dagnabit...
Exams are this week....you might not hear much from me. ^__^
Thought of the moment: Maybe I should kidnap Mokuba...

First, let's take a moment of silence in rememberance of the Pearl Harbor attacks.
Well, today was tough....my mom was sick, so there was much chaos. I just now watched the FoxBox.
Sonic X was a waste of time....ah, well. Last week's was good.
Shaman King: I called it! No way would Yoh get whupped by Tray Racer! Wh00t!
The first fifteen minutes were the funniest thing I've seen all week. Anna was at her best. ^__^
Ninja Turtles in space is getting old; at least they'll be somewhere new next week...
If you haven't heard "1000 Miles" by the Proclaimers, you need to. It's a kick arse eighties song. I luv it.
I think there was something else I wanted to say, and I'm likely to remember the second I post this. Such is life.
Thought of the moment: The Offspring is one of my favorite bands ever.

So...so cold....
I learned a great many things today.
First, if you're driving in your ar and eating donuts you snagged from the gas station for breakfast, don't eat jelly-filled ones. You'll get jelly all over your face and have to pull over and wipe your face.
Second, if you ever have to wait outside with the possibility that it might be really cold, you should save your coffee until you really need to warm up.
Third, the worst thing about the SATs is that they take up your whole morning, literally. It was 12:30 before I got out...
I finished all of my X-mas shopping. In fact, I even went so far as to...nevermind; there's the slightest possibility that the people I bought gifts for might read this...
All cartoon reruns this morning...except for a nice episode of Yu-Gi-Oh. Yay! St. Joan! ^__^
I finshed reading "A Picture of Dorain Gray"; it has a twilight zone ending. Very nice.
Anyone noticed the incredible similarities between Kaiba of YGO and Vegeta of DBZ? Hmmm....
I wish I could make AMV's. :(
If you haven't already, go read "OtakuBoards: Enter the Net", by Solo. It's good readin'. ^_^
Shout-out to Solo: I'm sorry, but...I miss your old avatar. You've had that ever sense I first showed up as "Beelzebumon"....the new one doesn't strike me as "Solo". Just my two cents. ^^;
"Justice League" is good watchin' this week, what with the Joker and all.
Thought of the moment: The same person does the voices of Megatron, Professor X, Sesshomaru and Trieze....

Randomnessity
Some 2004 car models will have a dimmer switch for the dashboard lights. Apparently, the intense lights of the average car dashboard were blinding the average motorist.
^__^ Sometimes engineers add things just because they can.
"A Picture of Dorain Gray" is a really good book, if you're not bothered by homosexual undertones.
For some reason, I keep misspelling "Gray" as "Grey"...
I must get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning to drive to Riverview High to take the SAT.
...............................
Gah.
"Irregardless" is not a word, damn it!
Thought of the moment: If something interesting doesn't happen soon, I'm going to break something...

Man, I'm boring!
Well...nothing's happened for several days...thought I'd just check in....
It's really sad, because this is all I have to chat about....
Thought of the moment: Man...it's quiet....
