Today was boring...damn it...
Because I have nothing to talk about...I'll post the revision to my light deck instead. Ish coolness....

Hikari v 2.0

Tributes:
Mystical Knight of Jackal
Kaiser Glider
Airknight Parashet

Monsters:
Releft Bounder
DD Warrior Lady
Asura Priest
Thunder Nyan Nyan x3 (Best monster name ever. ^^)
Roulette Barrel x2
White Magical Hat x2
Helper Robo for Combat x2

Traps:
Waboku x2
Spell Shield Type 8
Destruction Ring
Light of Hope x3

Spell:
Monster Reborn
Pot of Greed
Regeki
Dark Hole
Graceful Charity
Harpie's Feather Duster
Change of Heart
Mystical Space Typhoon x3
Luminous Spark x3
Terraforming
Big Bang Shot x2

Pretty cut and dry...all the traps are chainable. Light of Hope allows you to take two Light monsters from your Graveyard and shuffle them into your deck, so its use is obvious. With a few adjustments, I can allow this deck to house Chaos Soldier: Messenger of Creation whenever he comes out. ^__^

Thought of the moment: Bandit, will you marry me?

Blah...
I didn't do anything interesting at all today...just homework and chores....lame...and school's back in session tomorrow...sigh...

I did watch cartoons, though.

Sonic X: Is the show over now? Eggman's base went boom, Sonic's a hero...is that it?

Shaman King: You know, I was down with everything except when the animals started to talk, and turned into a bazooka...that made no sense...

Kind of boring today, because we knew beyond all doubt that Yoh would qualify. At least there's a cool fightr next week.

Yoh had better kick Tray Racer's arse, or I'll loose all respect for him. No disrespect to Tray intended, but come on! A woodland sprite versus an Samurai; who do you think's gonna' win?

Ninja Turtles: Man, this episode was predictible. I've seen it done everywhere...Justice League, Power Rangers, Secret Wars...will every action show please stop doing the arenna concept? Jeez...

Thought of the moment: I'm #109 on myOtakus; I want to break #100....

^___^
So, I logged on today, and guess what? I have 350 visits to my name! W00t!! I'd like to thank lots of people, but I'm not going to. If you think you deserve to be thanked, then by all means, thank you. I'm just lazy...

Saw Master & Commander yesterday; it was pretty good. It was a bit hard to keep track of things in the battle scenes, but that's probably how it was in RL. There was also a plot element I thought was contrived ("That bird's mine!"), but it was forgivable.

Today, on Yu-Gi-Oh...

I disliked the first episode; I thought Johnson/Big 3/Judege Man was a pretty okay guy, but it turns out he purpetuated the "crooked lawyer" stereotype. I hate that stereotype... And some of the dialogue just...sucked....

It was kinda nice to see all of Joey's chance cards to backfire for once, though. ^^;;

Now, Nesbitt/Big 4/Robotic Knight, on the other hand, was cool. This guy has the makings of a good character. He has it all:

*A clear trademark deck type (A *good* type; not like Gansly's swamp deck, Crumb's Penguien deck and Johnson's lawyer deck...)

*A good motivation (Kaiba shut down his life's work; so far, that's the best reason to hate Kaiba other than actually knowing him. ^_^)

*A distinct personality, complete with quirks.

I've never liked Bandit Keith, and thought his character was all wrong for Machine decks. (I'd pick him as an anti-Joey, using "evil" Warrior/Beast-Warriors)

Look at Rex: Goes for brute strength, like a dino. Weevil's a pest, Mai's a seductress who packs a punch, Mako's a sailor, Bakura and Marik's decks are evil...a machine deck player *should* be cold and robotic, not a gang punk.

too bad we'll probably never see Nesbitt again; he'd have been a cool recurring character....

Maybe he gets Tristen's body, and joins the cast. :P

Thought of the moment: Have I ever built a Machine deck? Should I?

Quote of the moment: "To wives and sweethearts...may they never meet!" -The Captain, "Master & Commander"

Tuuuuuuurrrrkkkkeeeeyyy!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to those who observe it. ^__^

Yesterday, I did the very vast majority of my Christmas shopping. I blew all my money...

The greatest irony was that every single place I went, there was stuff I wanted for me; let's count off.

Wal-Mart: The new issue of Anime Invasion

Barnes & Noble: The All New Tenchi Muyo vol. 3

Target: Obsidian/Tankor

Toys 'R Us: Razorclaw

Millenium Comics: the Ultimate Venom figure (who was six frickin' weeks late)

Gahh....I still need to find a Dark Magician Girl action figure for Myssy...

I also need to make gifts for my on-line buddies.

I did get two comic books: Venom #8 and Spectacular Spider-Man #7. No reviews, because no one reads my comic reviews anyway.

I have a Trigun fic on www.fanfiction.net Search for "Broken Window", or my name, "DeathBug".

Thought of the moment: No more turkey...please...

Prayer
My friend, Bandit Joeykuba, is worried about her mother's failing health. She has asked us to pray for her mom, and hope that she gets better.

Today's entry is a silent prayer for Bandit's mom's health and spirits. Everything else can wait until tomorrow.

Bandit, I pray your mom recovers, and everything turns out okay.

New deck. ^__^
In anticipation of the release of "Dark Crisis", I'm dusting off my Light deck. However, a slight change has been made; it's gone from a Light-deck to an all light deck. No Witch, no Serpant, no Jinzo, just Light.

In honor of the change in focus, I've renamed my deck, and started it over from the ground up.

LIGHT v 1.5

Birthday
First, an apology to MillieFan; I was going to reply to your comment, and accidentily deleted it. My bad. ^^;;

Anyway, today I recieved the 13th, 1 year anniversary issue of Shonen Jump, complete with an exlusive REBD card. ^__^

It featured the debute of Hiro No Go, which holds a lot of promise. Also, the previews of the new YGO set looks nice. One of my favorite cards, the Kaiser Glider, is crossing the other pond! Yeah!

Yu Yu Hakusho was good, Naruto is still building to a final showdown, and One Piece continues to be wonderfully quirky.

Hmmm...I like manga Ryu better than his anime counterpart, Ryo. Ryu's a much tougher customer, as is Tokegero. I hope the manga conclusion isnt' a wash-out like the anime was.

Kaiba brushing off Mokuba fits with his uber-evil self, but it doesn't gel with what will eventually happen to him. I thought it would have been more emotional to have Kaiba care about his little brother, but have no faith whatsoever in his gaming skills. That would have been a greater insult, or so i thought.

Anyway, a very great issue; looking forwards to another year of Jumpy goodness. ^__^

Thought of the moment: Time to upgrade my Light YGO deck...

Quote of the moment: "If Hell is worse than what I lived through, I gotta' see it!" -Tokegero, "Shaman King"

   Sunday Cartoons
My mind was just blown, in a bad way...

I saw "The Simpsons" just a few minutes ago; the Simpsons went to London, and it ocurred to me that there are Americans like Homer, going to other countries and acting like total jack-asses, perpetuating the "Ugly American" stereotype.

So, on behalf of America, I would like to apologize to those offended; capitalism was supposed to keep those people from earning enough to go to yuour country in the first place.

Now...Cartoons...

Sonic X: I really liked this episode, but I noticed something: Sonic's really been useless in his own show lately. Here's hoping he actually does something next episode. Oh, and I'm still waiting for Shadow to show up.

Also...all the extras sound like Pegasus...

Shaman King: Kinda' a transition episode, but at least we've established that Ryu is a shaman. And now Tray Racer's back, but Tokegero's gone...can those two not exist in the same episode? Jeez...

Ninja Turtles: The Turtles in Space story still isn't getting old, and as long as they can run with it, all for 'em. Did anyone catch Raph's reference to The Tick?

Thought of the moment: Almost time for Christmas shopping...

Quote of the moment: "Fate fell short this time, smile fades in the summer; place your hand in mine, I'll leave when I wanna'." -Blink-182, "Feelin' This"

   I luv Cartoons
Cartoon reviews! Yay!

Yu-Gi-Oh: Wow...Kaiba's past is trite. His Step-dad was a creep, so Kaiba acts like a creep, too? Nice move, becoming exactly what you hate. Sigh.

On the other hand, it's cool to hear voices given to prominant Duel Monsters, and, as an aspiring attorney, I like Johnson.

For those not in the know, Johnson's voice is based exclusivly on coimedian Ben Stien's. Kinda' reminds me of Digimon, where the Digimon were modeled after celebs.

Jackie-Chan Adventures: As big a fan as I am of the three Dark Hand guys, this episode fell flat to me, for some reason. On the other hand, the pizza ninja was funny. And I knew Ratso would have been involved in something brainy like quantum physics. ^_^

Pokemon: Advanced: So....what's different? We lost Misty, and....well, that's all. Sigh.

Thought of the moment: Noah....for the love of God, change clothes! Pink, for cryin' out loud? You look like an extra from "Recess!"

Quote of the moment: "I'm in the mood for a nice tall glass of iced Tea!" -Crumb, "Yu-Gi-Oh"

So Unfortunate
Well...some of you may know this, but Altron Gundam, Yu-Gi-Oh primma donna, was banned from Otakuboards.com. While I disagreed with his attitude, I didn't want to see him banned. Sadly, with the way he was cruising, it was inevitable. I prefer to remember the good he did, instead of the times he was a jerk.

I can't wait for next week; Thanksgiving sales!! I'll probably get Tidal Wave then; no way I'm getting the ugly, ugly Energon version.

Pretty much all of Energon looks crappy to me, although I know Solo will get Ravage. ^_^ Starscream, however, looks kick-arse. Kinda' a fusion between G1 and Vehicon design symettry. Anything that reminds me of Jetstorm is automatically cool.

Adult Swim is showing early InuYasha. Early InuYasha kicks arse. I'm afraid that the show is loosing quality as it continues. Alas.

Last night, Smallville was intense. Just...wow. Lana and Lex seem to be screwed, and Clark bears responsibility. Bummer. Can't wait to see the reprecussions in the next episode.

Angel was good, as well. Spike beat the crap out of him, and it's about time. I've always been of the opinion that Angel was a wuss, and Spike was the real man vampire. Now I am vindicated! W00t!

Thought of the moment: I'd like to see some other nation's flag set on fire, just for once.

Quote of the moment: "What are you doing? You're not crying, are you? No crying!!" -InuYasha, "InuYasha"
