Bleh
It's like two days out of my life were just...gone. Useless, nullified, stolen. Nothing was accomplished, I had no memerable experiences, and I have that funky feeling you get when you take what's supposed to be a short nap but end up sleeping all afternoon.

You see, on Thursday, we were supposed to scurry away from the hurricane to my Grandma's house. Then, a funny thing happened: the hurricane shifted slightly (Like I didn't see *that* coming....) so that the area we'd have to travel through was now experience a tornado warning. We could try going through Orlando, but that's where everyone else was already going; traffic was backed up for miles.

We decided to stay home, but, of course, by the time this decision was made, I was already too late to go into work. (Damn.)

Then, for reasons I'll never understand, my mom says, "Hey, let's go to the mall!"

Oooooookay.....

We go to the mall, and it's something freaky. Remember the previews for Dawn of the Dead, where the people are hangin' in the mall before the zombie attack? *That's* what it reminded me off.

Of course, the fact that Dawn of the Dead scares the living guts out of me came up. For what I suspect to be this reason, I had this gut reaction to run out of the building.

I didn't, though, and got to take a market study thingie while I was there. I got five dollars. ^__^

Eventually, we came home. The next morning, we began as eries of various hurricane prep procedures, so I'd never heard of. So, how'd it go?

The hurricane turns, missing us completely.

On the one hand, we're so totally lucky. On the other hand, I lost two days of my life for this. They say a rational human brain places more emphasis on a small loss than a huge advantage, so it's apparently normal that this bugs me so, even when it shouldn't.

At least I go into work tomorrow. ^__^ I'm acually happy about it.

Thought of the moment: Ernesto has a job and a driver's liscence; Julia's going to New York for a week.

Quote of the moment: "I'm sorry you feel that way; here's a free gallon of Miracle Hose Water!"

Song of the moment:

"Until the day i Die", Story of the Year

Until the day I die
I'll spill my heart for you, for you
Until the day I die
I'll spill my heart for you

As years go by
I race the clock with you
But if you died right now
You know that I'd die to
I'd die too

You remind me of the times
When I knew who I was (I was)
But still the second hand will catch us
Like it always does

We'll make the same mistakes
I'll take the fall for you
I hope you need this now
Cause I know I still do

Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you
Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you

Should I bite my tongue?
Until blood soaks my shirt
We'll never fall apart
Tell me why this hurts so much
My hands are at your throat
And I think I hate you
But still we'll say, "remember when"
Just like we always do
Just like we always do

Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you
Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you

Yeah I'd spill my heart!!!
Yeah I'd spill my heart for you!!!

My hands are at your throat
And I think I hate you
We made the same mistakes
Mistakes like friends do

My hands are at your throat
And I think I hate you
We made the same mistakes
Made the same mistakes

Until the day I die
I'll spill my heart for you, for you

Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you, for you
Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you
Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
Until the day I die!!!

- -;
Well, I'm still here. The storms are actually between us and my grandma's house, so we're staying here. Yay.

Somehow, I'm doubtful
Apparently, there are two hurricanes converging on my state of Floridia, and one of them is supposed to pass right over my house on Friday.

Pardon my skeptisism, but yeah, right.

In the six years I've lived here, the Weather Channel and the like have a perfect loosing record when it comes to tracking big storms. For six years they've disrupted my life, only to be wrong as the storm doesn't even come close to my area.

In 1998, Hurricane George was projected to go over my house, so my Mom packed us up and headed to my Grandma's in Satellite Beach (Near the Kennedy Space Port.)

Except, the meteorologists were wrong, and rather than avoiding George, my mom drove directly through it.

Needless to say, it was a bit...stressful? So, I may be a little bitter, but I still don't trust meteorologists and their predictions.

Here's my prediction: the storm will change direction, and not touch my area at all.

Not that it matters; I've still got to cancel work, pack up a ton of stuff and apparently ride to my grandmother's. We'll be back by Friday afternoon, most liely.

Thought of the moment: The announcment on the front page has me nervous...

Quote of the moment: "I'm so rich, it's me you hail! If I'm obnoxious, kiss my tail!"

Song of the moment:

"Opportunities", Pet Shop Boys

I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
You've got the brawn, I've got the brains
Let's make lots of -

I've had enough of scheming and messing around with jerks
My car is parked outside, I'm afraid it doesn't work
I'm looking for a partner, someone who gets things fixed
Ask yourself this question: Do you want to be rich?

I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
You've got the brawn, I've got the brains
Let's make lots of money

You can tell I'm educated, I studied at the Sorbonne
Doctored in mathematics, I could have been a don
I can program a computer, choose the perfect time
If you've got the inclination, I have got the crime

Oh, there's a lot of opportunities
If you know when to take them, you know?
There's a lot of opportunities
If there aren't, you can make them
Make or break them

I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
Let's make lots of -
(Aahhhhh) Money
(Aahhhhh)
(Aahhhhh - Di du da di da bu di ba)

You can see I'm single-minded, I know what I could be
How'd you feel about it, come and take a walk with me?
I'm looking for a partner, regardless of expense
Think about it seriously, you know, it makes sense

Let's (Got the brains)
Make (Got the looks)
Let's make lots of money (Oohh money)
(Let's) You've got the brawn
(Make) I've got the brains
Let's make lots of money (Oohh money)

I've got the brains (Got the brains)
You've got the looks (Got the looks)
Let's make lots of money (Oohh money)
Money

Since so many people asked...
Okay, so three people asked. ^^; Anyway, here's how last night's tourney went down:

I took my Demonic Disruption deck with me, and signed in. In pre-game trading, I got Last turn and Invader of Darkness (A Secret and Ultra rare) for only five commons. ^__^ Nice, no?

Anyway, I was knocked out in the first round, but not easily. The guy played beatdown, and plowed through my monsters. However, that's what I wanted him to do. Most of my monsters (Check that: all of them) have effects that go off when they're destroyed, so the whole thing was basically a struggle for field-control.

He'd summon and attack, and my Newdoria's and Night Assailants would take his monsters with them.

Unfortunatly, for whatever reason, I didn't draw any of my offensive cards. I got Darkl Necrofear out once during the entire duel, and never got the Summoned Skull or Great Maju Garzett to the field.

I did manage to draw Painful Choice once, and he gave me Kuriboh. (They always give Kuriboh!) Sadly, he kept breaking through my defenses faster than I could gather my offense. This has always been a problem with my Fiend deck.

Anyway, after the Duel, I traded for a Creature Swap. ^__^ This Saturday is the last Toys R Us tournament of the season, and with my new deck adjustments, I expect to go to the finals. ^^;

After this Saturday, I'll take apart my Demon deck, simply because I'm ready to try something new. I want to try a Beast-themed beatdown. (Beastdown.)

Oh, another interesting thing: my sister beat this high-level player with her Pyro-burner once. Last night, same guy was playing a Burner all of a sudden. I counted five cards in his deck (that I saw) also used by my sister. ^__^

Thought of the moment: Rayne's comic is updated! Go read!

Quote of the moment: "Watch me ram that cop car."

Song of the moment:

"Black Balloon", the Goo Goo Dolls

Baby's black balloon makes her fly
I almost fell into that hole in your life
And you're not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Cuz you were the same as me
But on your knees

A thousand other boys could never reach you
How could I have been the one?
I saw the world spin beneath you
And scatter like ice from the spoon that was your womb

Comin' down the world turned over
And angels fall without you there
And I go on as you get colder
Or are you someone's prayer?

You know the lies they always told you
And the love you never knew
What's the things they never showed you
That swallow the light from the sun inside your room, yeah

Comin' down the world turned over
And angels fall without you there
And I go on as you get colder
Always someone there

And there's no time left for losin'
When you stand they fall, yeah

Comin' down the world turned over
And angels fall without you there
And I go on as you get colder
All because I'm
Comin' down the years turn over
And angels fall without you there
And I'll go on and I'll bring you home and
All because I'm
All because I'm
And I'll become
What you became to me

Nothing new to report
Yeah, just what the title says. ^^; All i did today was go to the YGO tourney at Hobbytown, and since no one who reads this really cares at all, I'll just be on my way. ^__^

Thought of the moment: The *big* tourney's this weekend...

Quote of the moment: "Wake up, you fetid piece of carp, and experience the joy that is knowing Dogbert!"

Song of the moment:

"Pressure", Billy Joel

You have to learn to pace yourself
Pressure
You're just like everybody else
Pressure
You've only had to run so far
So good

But you will come to a place
Where the only thing you feel
Are loaded guns in your face
And you'll have to deal with pressure

You used to call me paranoid
Pressure
But even you can not avoid
Pressure
You turned the tap dance into your crusade

Now here you are
With your faith
And your Peter Pan advice
You have no scars on your face
And you cannot handle pressure

All grown up and no place to go
Psych one
Psych two
What do you know?

All your life is Channel 13
Sesame Street
What does it mean?

Pressure

I'm sure you'll have some cosmic rationale
But here you are with your faith
And your Peter Pan advice
You have no scars on your face
And you cannot handle pressure
Mmm, pressure
Pressure
One, two, three, four
Pressure

   Night shifts suck
Really, really, they suck. I'm almost comatose. And no one wants to be comatose. Being comatose is bad.

I haven't gotten a chance to watch any cartoons yet. That kinda' sucks.

And now my Mom is talking about me paying for my car insurance. Mom, I can't afford it *right now*, and when school starts, I'll be earning less money. Seriously, this won't work. ^^;

If anyone was curious, Wal-Mart is a vastly different place at twelve in the morning. I'm not sure why I went to Wal-Mart.

Now, onto what's really important: Rayne's new web-comic. Page 1 is up. Go see it, then go to her myOtaku and tell her how cool it is. http://azale.keenspace.com/

Anywhatsit, I have to go. I'm off today, an' I'm going to sleep.

Thought of the moment: Ben, come back any time; I'll pwn you. ^__^

Quote of the moment: "Better destroy that skin; it has your Social Security number on it!"

Song of the moment:

"The Sign", Ace of Base

I, I got a new life, you would hardly recognize me, I'm so glad
How can a person like me care for you?
I, why do I bother, when you're not the one for me?
Oo-hoo-hoo-oo-oo
Is enough enough?

I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes, I saw the sign
Life is demanding without understanding
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes, I saw the sign
No one's gonna drag you up to get into the light where you belong
But where do you belong?

I, under the pale moon, for so many years I wondered who you are
How could a person like you bring me joy?
Under the pale moon, where I see a lot of stars
Oo-hoo-hoo-oo-oo
Is enough enough?

I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes, I saw the sign
Life is demanding without understanding
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes, I saw the sign
No one's gonna drag you up to get into the light where you belong
But where do you belong?
Oh, oh-oh-oh

I saw the sign and it opened up my mind
And I am happy now living without you
I've left you Oh, oh-oh-oh
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes, I saw the sign
No one's gonna drag you up to get into the light where you belong

(I saw the sign, I saw the si-ee-ign) I saw the sign
(I saw the sign, I saw the si-ee-i-ee-ign)
(I saw the sign, I saw the sign)
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes, I saw the sign

Cha-ching!
I finally found a quarter minted in 1986. ^__^ For those who don't know, that's my birth-year, so I really wated one. Now, I have it. Schwing!

It ocurrs to me that, yesterday, while urging you all to visit Artimes' site, that I spelled her name wrong, twice. I'm also pretty sure I spelled it wrong just now. ^^;

Stephanie went and saw the Cure last night; lucky devil. ^__^

So, I went to the meeting of the Community College Honors Club; I'm supposed to be e-mailed some info. Anyway, it sounds like a pretty rockin' organization. I can be running this place inside aweek.

Julia was there, and I told her that I still liked her, but, you know, respected her decision.

She said that she didn't have many friends, because she moved from, you know, Russia, just a few years ago, and didn't want to risk one of the friendships she had by rushing into anything. Maybe later, she said, but not now.

;_; I was so touched. Really, I'm not being sarcastic. I felt kinda' guilty, for reasons I'm not sure of.

Anyway, we went and saw a movie: Collateral, with Tom Cruise. It was okay. Entertaining, but not much else.

And now I'm off to play Yu-Gi-Oh! with my sister, then go to work. Ciao.

Thought of the moment: My shoe broke.

Quote of the moment: "Music school!"

Song of the moment:

"End of the world", The Cure

Go if you want to
I never tried to stop you
Know there's a reason
For all of this you're feeling
Love its not my call
You couldnt ever love me more
You couldnt love me more
You couldnt love

Me I dont show much
Its not that hard to hide you
See in a moment
I cant remember how to
Be all you wanted
I couldnt ever love you more
I couldnt love you more
I couldnt love
You want me to cry and play my part
I want you to sigh and fall apart
We want this like everyone else

Stay if you want to
I always wait to hear you
Say there's a last kiss
For all the times you run this
Way its not my fault
You couldnt ever love me more
You couldnt love me more
You couldnt love

Love me more
Couldnt ever love me more
I couldnt love you more
I couldnt love

You want me to lie not break your heart
I want you to fly not stop and start
We want us like everything else

Maybe we didnt understand
Not just a boy and a girl
Its just the end of the
end of the world

Me i dont say much
Its far too hard to make you
See in a moment
I still forget just how to
Be all you wanted
I couldnt ever love you more
I couldn't love you more [x4]

Mediocrity
Yesterday was twice disappointing. First, I saw The Village, and was vastly underwhelmed. I mean, it was decent, but I expected so much more from M. Night. Signs was so, so much cooler.

Then, I went to the HobbyTown uSA YGO night, and...what a collossal waste of time. I tradewd for no new cards, and was kncked out in the first round by a frickin' CCC. I hate CCC.

So, yeah, that sucked. Toiday, I did laundry and listened to the radio and read a book. Ho frickin' hum. I go back to work tomorrow afternoon, so I might have something good to talk about.

On Friday, there's a meeting at the Community College for the new students in the Honors Club. I'm going, and Julia's going, and this'll be the first time we've been together since I was downgraded back to friend.

I've decided to tell her, in person, that I still like her, and will probably still have a crush on her for a while. However, I respect her judgement and her decision, and if she just wants to be friends, that's cool. However, she should probably know where I stand.

I could have told her when we talked on the phone, but I thought somthing personal like that was best said in person.

And...I have cash again, so I'm going to pick up three comics tomorrow before work. ^__^ Yay comics!

Thought of the moment: Yay comics!

Quote of the moment: "You can't sell that! Kharma can only be apportioned out by the Cosmos!"

Song of the moment:

"View from Heaven", Yellowcard

I'm just so tired
Won't you sing me to sleep
Fly through my dreams
So i can hitch a ride
With you tonight
And get away from this place
Have a new name and face
I just ain't the same without you in my life

Late night drives
All alone in my car
I can't help but start
Singing lines
From all our favorite songs
And there are D's in the air
Singing life just ain't fair but
Sometimes i still just can't
Believe you're gone

CHORUS:
And i'm sure the view from heaven
It's the hell out of my year
And if we all believe in heaven
Then we will make it through
One more year, down here

Feel your fire when it's cold in my heart
And things sorta start reminding me
Of my last night with you
I only need one more day
Just one more chance to say
I wish that i had gone up with you too

CHOURS

You won't be coming back
And i didn't get to say goodbye
Ireally wish i got to say goodbye

CHORUS

I hope all is well in heaven
Cause it's all shot to hell down here
I hope that i find you in heaven
Cause i'm so lost without you down here

You won't be coming back
And i didn't get to say goodbye
Ireally wish i got to say goodbye
