Hmmm, tweaking
Rayne, what I meant was, I heard the speech repeated on the news several times after I had already heard it live. He doesn't repeat his speeches.
Yeah, I did some tweaking to the site; finally added everyone in my Guestbook to my Friends list. Yup, yup.
I'm a creep for loosing touch with Li-Chan. I've been really busy, lately, but it's not an excuse. I must remember to do better in the future.
So, I was posting on a political topic on the OB, and who should respond to me but Cloricus. Now, I cited one of his replies, so I guess I should have expecrted what was coming...
Everything I've ever read by Cloricus seems to indicate that he has...issues, shall we say, with America. So, naturally, his views and mine came to a conflict.
Difference between us? I didn't call him a wanker, a follower, a small-minded person, or a sheep.
My first inclination was to respond in kind, but I caught myself. Screw that; I never give anyone the satisfaction of making me lose my temper. (If I can help it.)
I decided, you know what, if he wants to be a jerk, that's his perogative. I'm going to laugh, and turn the whole thing into a joke.
And, you know what I then came to realise? That defense would work against any other jerks I might encounter. Rather than retaliate in kind, it'd be much more satisfying and effective to just laugh it off. Less stressful, too.
Don't worry, be happy.
