A Very Spider Day
Today, everything turned out to be about Spider-Man. I didn't plan it that way; it just happened ya' know?
Do you really know, or are you just humouring me?
Anyway, yesterday i went through all my stuff and had a large pile of thingd to sell or dispose of. So, I went out to profit from my Large Pile of Junk.
First stop was the electronic/game store at the mall. I had some old game to ditch. Well, nadda'. Damn.
Next, the Best Buy. The Spider-Man 2 soundtrack was on sale for $8.99. Pretty sweet, eh? It is a pretty slamming album, as soundtracks go, and features "Vindicated", that track being worth the price of admission alone.
A quick stop at the library and used book store, then to the comic shop. Out of a huge stack of twenty-five+ comics, Scott only buys three of them. Damn. Well, I used the credit to buy a long, comic-storing box. I'll get some mileage outta' that, believe you me.
I unloaded my '94 collector Marvel cards for $10, and only got rid of two CD's out of a stack of twelve. At least I got $5 out of the deal.
To Wal-Mart, where I used my quick cash to buy the Doctor Octopus figure from the movie (To go with the Green Goblin already on my credenza.) and the theatrical poster from SM2.
I stop by Ernesto's to drop by some old anime mags and a few games he might want. Then, home.
Not quite done, though. ^^; See, while cleaning my room, I came across a uncashed graduatioin check my grandmother sent me. ^^;;;; So, I cashed it.
I have an interview at Toys R Us tomorrow. Sure, now all the interviews start coming in. *rolls eyes*
Thought of the moment: Spider-Man 2 opens in seven days. ^__^ I'm seeing it with julia on the first of July.
Quote of the moment: "Boxers don't get trophies, Chubsy Wubsy! They get belts. You know belts, right? That's the thing you need a boomerang to put on." -Spider-Man, "Dr. Octopus: Negative Exposure"
Song of the moment:
"My Alien", Simply Plan
I'm sick of being alone, when are you coming home?
Just a glimpse of your face
I can remember smelling your hair, I'll meet your anywhere
Somewhere that no one can retrace
Somewhere where nobody will know our faces
[CHORUS]
She has two arms to hold me
Four legs to wrap around me
She's not your typical girlfriend
She's my alien
My alien
She knows when something is wrong, when something doesn't belong
She can read in my mind
And she can be assured that with me, there is no conspiracy
Shes not wasting her time
She can take me to the place that she calls home,
in a spaceship that will someday be my own
Please take me to your leader
Tell her I will surrender
I will surrender
[CHORUS]
My alien [repeat 4x]
[CHORUS (repeat 2x)]
I bought the astranauts kit
Now all I need's a rocket
My love, intergallactic friend
She's my alien
