Me, or someone like myself
Well now, it was a happy day when I realized that Li-C had posted a reply to my last post. ^___^ It was a bit of a surprise, too, Li; I knew you read my blog, but I didn't know you'd respond.

Took me a sec to figure out who, exactly, was talking. "Hey, this sounds like...*glances at screen name*...Lady Chang. ^^" Yeah-p. Nice to hear from you. ^__^ E-mail me when you can; I wanna' know how you're doing.

Yesterday, I realized that I hate parades. The food is overpriced, the crowds are obnoxious, there's crap flying all over the place and, just for fun, the one I went to got rained on. I'm not being metapohorical; I was soaked.

I wasn't going by choice...well, I had a choice, but it was still the right thing to do. It was the Kiddie Gasperilla march in Tampa Bay, and with both of my little sisters' Girl Scout troops participating, my mom asked me to go with her to keep an eye on 'em.

Well, I wasn't going to say 'no', so I went. Little did I realize what would happen to me. :( My mom waited at the end of the path, where the girls were supposed to get out. My eldest sister had been given my cell phone so mom could keep tabs on her. Too bad she didn't turn it on...

So what ended up happening was, I had to go all the way to the beginning of the parade route to keep pace with the two of them. Then, I had to walk all the way up with them back to where I started.

Basically, I had to walk the whole parade twice. In the rain. And I got pulled over by an evangelist, who seemed very concerned about my Soul. While I think that's great, I probabably should have just told him that I'd been attending St. Andrew's Methodist for about five years now. Would have saved me a bunch of time.

My whole body ached when we finally got home. Parades are such a treat. ><

Well, at least there were pleanty of new cartoons and such this week.

Smallville: "Hey, I know! Let's have an episode where everyone beats the crap outta' Chloe for some reason!"

Really, that's what it was. I felt so sorry for her, although we did finally get the much heralded Chloe/Lana catfight. ^__^; And, for some unknown reason, said fight spilled over into the girl's locker room. And the shower. Can we say "fan service"?

This episode also added a new entry to my list of "Ways I Really, Really Don't Want to Die": getting stabbed in the ear with a sharpened pencil.

Angel: Andrew=comedy. My fave character from the last two seasons of BtVS finally comes back, and is in perfect comedic form. ^__^ That's good, because without him, this ep would have been way too dark for my tastes. Hey, Spike, need a hand? Ouch.

Jackie Chan: This was a really unique and enjoyable episode; I loved it, except for one glaring plot hole: They never explained where Draco came from! Yeah, I know he's Shindu's son, but Shindu's son from where? Do the other seven demons have offspring? When'd he get here?

Either way, he got stranded in the current time line, so he'll be back, hopefully. ^__^

I'm feeling kind of sorry for Shindu, and even he seemed to appreciate the irony of the situation. He only seems to be resurrected for about ten minutes each time before being statufied again. Bummer.

Xiao-Ling Showdown: Okay, I gave this show a try, and I'm stricktly neutral as of right now. I liked what I saw this week, but I could go either way. It'd probably be better if I knew more about the characters and their situation, but it's already showing a bit of originality, considering that the bad guys won. Big time.

.....What's with Pac Man Junior, or whatever he's supposed to be?

Pokemon: Did'nt bother to watch. Pokemon's been boring for three seasons now.

Yu-Gi-Oh: Due to VCR errors, YGO wasn't recorded this week. I'll wait 'til Friday to catch it. ^__^

Transformers: Energon: Well, the new TF series premiered Saturday night. My overall verdict: Uhh...ca'nt say. There's things I liked, and things I disliked.

For one, I hate Kicker. He needs to die.

It was interesting to see how the Autobots and Decepticons have been working together for the past ten years, but I noticed something: The Autobots treat the DEcepticons like second class citizens. You noticed the crap Demoloisher and Tidal Wave took, even when they were just doing their jobs. Autobots are jerks.

Not sure I like the Terrorcons, since they've got all the personality of can openers. I expected them to have Generals, like the Vehicons. Alas.

And what's with Alpha Q, anyway? He's a five-faced alien who was absorbed by Unicron, but now wants to help Unicron? Does'nt make much sense.

It was cool to seen Galvatron's corpse inside Unicron, though. ^__^

Teen Titans: Eh, pretty standard episode; no surprises here. Not bad, but not spectacular. All we found out was that Cyborg used to be an athlete. The ending was a wee bit too predictable.

When the titans were captured, Raven must really have had to pee. ^^;

Ninja Turtles: Well....I wish they'd been a little less obvious with the foreshadowing regarding Shredder's origin; I figured it out a while ago, as did most of the viewing audience. Alas.

Despite this, it was still a real nail-biter of an episode A few t hings I noticed: The room the turtles were trapped in...it literally barfed them up. Ew. I counted three obvious references to the original cartoon, as did the rest of ya'll, I'm sure. ^__^

So, now that things have settled down, let's take stock of the situation:

*The Turtles, Casey, April and splinter: Safe and sound and home again.

*The Utrons and their Guardians: Back on their home world, bein' all squiddly.

*The Fugitoid: With the Utrons

*Dr. Stockman: Free, but a head on spider legs.

*Hun and the other Foot ninja: Alive but unemployeed.

The Triceradons and Republic soldiers: All back where they belong, save a single Triceradon soldier who escaped into the sewers.

*Shredder: Dead. Really, I'm pretty sure this time. Besides, after what we've learned, there's no way he'd ever be the same again. Let's just leave him this way.

Oh, and a big monster looking thing escaped the Utron based before it went kablooie. Fun, huh?

Anyway, back to reality...I've been really busy as of late with school, and want to apologize for my inability to pay as much attention to yall's myOtaku as they really deserve. Forgive me. ^_^;

Thought of the moment: Can't wait for the Strike Ninja....
