DeathBug-Accept no substitues!
Ow.
I'm so tired, I hurt in places I don't even use. It's been a rough weekend, with enough homework to....uh...well, damn...ca'nt finish my analogy...
The only reprieve I had was a trip to Wal-Mart and the comic store yesterday afternoon. Even whilst watching cartoons, I was working. ;_;
My current love is the Spong monkies, the lil' mutant Bush Babies that advertise for Quizno's subs. If you want to see how they got their start, go to www.rathergood.com, and search for We Like The Moon. Classic stuff.
I'm tired, so I'll stop babbling and do reviews.
Shonen Jump:
Shaman King: Always a pleasure. ^__^ Silva's actually cool in the manga; i think he' a dork in the anime. I must say, though, Amidamaru in Over Soul mode looks freaky...like a frog...
Hikaru No Go: Wow, Akira got whipped. Bummer. Hikaru freaked out. Cool. Some upstart punk. Can't wait to see him get beat.
Naruto: Wow, that was graphic. Poor Haku. Heck, poor Sasuke. The cast is dropping like flies, and then Gato shows up. I can't wait to see how this ends. ^__^
One Piece: It's so hard to take this seriously when the bad guys are a pair of transvestite cats and Micheal Jackson. Zoro's still cool, though.
DBZ: Boy, Cell's a whiner. So Vegeta's kicking you all over the place? Go with it! These things happen. Sigh.
Yu Yu Hakushu: 1 Saint Beast down, three to go. Times like these remind of just how much Kurama kicks arse.
Yu-Gi-Oh: Wow, Yugi beat Kaiba. By summoning Exodia. Didn't see that coming.
At least we get a new story, but I'm afraid virtual love testsers seem mundane after what jut happened. Ah, well. At least there were some funny Yugi/Anzu moments.
Spectacular Spider-Man #10: The finale to Spider-Man's showdown with Doctor Octopus, and it's a big one. When Ock's plan falls apart, he runs for it, leading to an intense heart-to-heart between Spidey and Ock in the sewers.
We also get to see the final fate of the Kiwi Kid. Nice.
Crimson Dynamo: I bought this on a whim; it's about a Russian slacker teen who finds the control helmet to a secret, formerly docile suit of battle armor. Thing is, he does'nt know what it is. He thinks it's just some super-de-dooper TV helmet. As he's watching the best and worse every channel in the world has to offer, he's unwittingly control the body of the armor, bringing it closer to him.
Did I mention that the Russian military is tracking the armor? Yeah, i'ts cool.
Jackie Chan: re-run.
Xia Lin Showdown: Pretty standard fare, except this episode had an evil Mime, who was magic for some reason. Whatever. Anything that features a mime punching himself out is cool in my books.
Yu-Gi-Oh: Man, Noah really, really sucks. How in the bloody hell to you mess up a 7000 point lead?! How'd he do it?! I do'nt know, but he did!
Anyway, I already know how Yugi's getting out of this attack. Hint: Nutrient Z.
Transformers-Energon: So, Demolisher is the new Starscream? I hope they don't drag his indecision out forever. I want it resolved by next episoide, at the most. Dangling plot threads are annoying.
Two other interesting things to note: I'm actully forgetting how much i loathed Kicker from the first two episodes! ^__^
Also, the Terrorcons seem to be talking now. It's random, and I do'nt think I like it.
Teen titans: With Terra officially on the team, is Raven still the cutest Titan? Yes, yes she is. ^^;
Destroying the Titan's base seemed like a rather mundane thing for Slade to do, didn't it? And it didn't seem very smart to be so incredibly obvious in its intent...
But at least we got a new Titan. ^__^
Shaman King: Ryo came back, so you know this was cool. ^__^ But what's up with his collar? Is he sharing starch with Kaiba, now?
Hmm...two strange Shaman girls who wanted to kill Ryo for no apparent reason? Huh, got my attention. Gee, and I wonder who that strange ghost who helped Ryo out was. :P
So..Yoh's going into a dark cave alone for a week. His grandpa sure talked that thing up, huh? Hope he's okay. This episode also shows one of the few hints that Anna really does love Yoh. You have to look for it, though. If ya blink, ya miss it. ^^;
And who the heck's that girl at thee nd with the demented critters? And when she says 'tall one and short one' bringing evil, does she mean Morty and Ryo or the two girls from earlier? Gah, so confused!
Ninja Turtles: Why isn't Leatherhead Cajun?! He can be smart, and a good guy, but he should still be Cajun!
At least we found out that he was the strange creature that escaped the TCI building. And I'm glad his partner was Stockman, and not Shredder.
Now all we have is a Triceradon on the loose...
Thought of the momeny: Echo! Echo! Echo! Boy, the Ramones were cool...I wanna' be sedated!
Quote of the moment: "It's eight fourteen and I'm ridin' down the road; I've got the wind in my hair, and the bugs in my nose! My pal Morty's with me, so I'm driving slow! Oh no!" -Ryo, "Shaman King"
