Nomenclature.
Sorry about that RANDOM lapse in posting but there was some bullshit. Like, large metallic bullshit- clogs the gears in plans, you know? Deals with computers. Broken ones. Not mine- network requires the following. 1 "host" computer. 1 "receiving" computer.
X out the host and you have a pretty netless receiving one.
Let your imaginations roll.
Eye of Providence.
During this brief lapse, I actually got a call from someone who was concerned. You know, I suppose it is out of character for me to not be around on AIM for a few days, but uh.. Yeah. Phone call was nice, I suppose. lol.
Took me down a rant on that phone call. Deals with people's MyOtakus.
If you have a problem, be down to earth about it. I get tired of these little melodramatic posts where people say "Hey, something shitty happened. I mean, really shitty. It's so shitty, it smells horrid. I won't tell you what happened, but it was really shitty. I promise."
*thwack* Nein. Bad teenager. Just tell people what's up. Most of the people trolling around MyOtaku who were/are OBers are smarter than the average 40 IQ MyO poster. They can help you out. The best way to get problems solved is by getting people's opinions- and there is no better place than a melting pot of ideologies, faiths and nationalities like a popular message board.
This might seem silly, you know- we're "just Internet people"!
Fuck you. I'm not going to be zoned into some generalization based on the form of communication I am currently using. If you feel like driving down to San Antonio, Texas or any other place where a smart, wise person resides to get face to face talking done, do it. I'm up for a cup of coffee anytime of the fucking week, I'll rant to you, rave to you- delve into eccentric, long winded lectures. But that isn't going to happen, is it? So don't be a bitch about it when you aren't taking an active role in securing a different, more personal form of communication that can get you to listen to these intellectuals trapped on an Anime webcommunity. Talk where you can to the people you can however you can. It is better than stagnating in your own opinion, not getting a fresh view on your problem.
Second thing, make sure the problem matters. Don't waste my time telling me about your dog dying and how sad you are about it. I can't do shit about your dog, I'm no Puppyjesus. I mean, I send my condolences but- how many opinions can you have on dying dogs? I can't really morally support you when I am apathetic about some person's attachment to a animal. lol. Maybe other people can- it's your call, but that seems insignificant next to the things I have helped people with over the past years online.
You know, like your best friend dies or you are having problems with a love or you are suicidal. Those sorts of things, where there can be many insights into it- that matters. You can gain alot from just hunkering down and listening to someone elses opinion. Gleen all you can from it, make the good points your own and disregard the bad points.
But yeah. Next point is, security. My view on life is that you get torn down alot. You exist to be in pain. Physical, mental. Your existence is going to be full of pain. You came into life causing physical pain to someone else. You are going to die and cause emotional pain to someone else. But what matters is that you focus on the things *aside from* that. You can't just hunker down and start moping around something you have no control over stopping. That would be very, very ignorant to do.
And, alot of people do that. They become too focused on the hardships they face- hey, that is coming no matter what. Eventually, you'll end up in some shitty situation. It always happens. Sometime, somewhere, something will trip up and you'll fall face first into the mud. Instead of blackness always, become neutral. Gray. Be a realist. Hard times will come, yes. But good times always will be coming too. It's a two sided coin- focusing on either side is a blatant lack of smarts.
So that's my view. Keep on truckin'. Don't fall into angsty pessimism, don't become an idealistic optimist. Just go with the flow with an easy going smile. Pessimism will only destroy you. Optimism is ignorance.
Ignorance is not bliss, as many would have you believe. It's opium for the masses. It's equal to religion in plague-like qualities- it spreads easily and efficiently through all ranks of social life. The tragedy with this is that people make judgements based on their ignorance- incomplete shots in the dark that do more harm than good.
Don't be ignorant. Understand things. You can still be happy with knowing the depths and breadths of darkness- you are the up and coming generation. You are going to be the bringers of change, in whatever forms you want it, before passing on into the cemeteries of the world. This is your 15 minutes of fame. While the present may be full of doom-filled messages of terrorism or hard-lined atheists doggedly arguing with equally insane and fanatical religious people, it's alright man.
You're inheriting the world. It's your call. You are the masters, the coming ones- the ones who will hold the reins to this planet. Anything now, any concerns now- anything black, anything white, ANYTHING- it's open to change as you arrive on the stage for your little piece of action. Your little stint on this planet. It's gonna be yours, man- if you want it to be. Just stand up, acknowledge your potential. You can learn-it's there. Waiting for you- history of social events, religious events, military events, human events, scientific events- all of it is just sitting around, begging people to read it. Millennias of it- knowledge, right there. Know what you're talking about.
Don't be part of the biomass- the ignorant little fuckheads who hear an opinion on one of their nationally televised cable TV shows and start waving it around like a flag. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT- don't assume what you hear is objective in the least. It's biased- towards something, someway or another. It's not the full coin. Look at all of it. Try your best to, at least- I mean, if you are religious, don't you think that your God[s][esses][whatever] would want you to be a knowledgeable entity that validates your existence? I dunno. I do my best to be open to things, to learn as much as possible- to exist with as much validity to my opinions as possible.
Maybe that isn't important to you, I don't know. I just know that anyone reading this more likely than not is a friend of mine. If you are, then I think you have potential. I don't waste my breathe on people who are going to mull about in ignorance- you have the ability to think and form your own opinions. EVEN IF THEY DISAGREE WITH MINE- my point isn't that I'm RIGHT or you're RIGHT or someone else is 'right' or not- how can you KNOW if so and so is right if you don't take the time to enlighten yourself to the facts at hand?
Your call.
DCLXVI.
Yeah. It's your call. I expect you to use the freedom you were given to the uptmost of your ability at any and all times- that is also key to existing. You know what existing is right? In fluid motion, examine this moment.
*pause*
Right there. You existed. It was like water, huh? Just sitting there, staring at this lunatic lecture you on things. That was a good moment. Just chilling, existing. Feels good to just breathe in the air in that moment. Yeah. So, you know. Keep exist. Ignorance or not, you are free to do what you want to with the time that is given you. Hopefully, you'll make good on that in whatever ways you find to do so.
Enlightened or ignorant, black or white, on or off- it is all opinion. Mine is not right for all, yours is not right for all- but you need to make sure your opinions are good for YOU. You need to be a little selfish to even consider being self-sacrifice- you have to have SOMETHING to SACRIFICE.
Once again! Opinion.
Remember, I lecture alot- but the base thing I want you to remember is opinion. Not set in stone, etc.
Let's go in a few more circles in this discussion.
Noumenon.
Well. I guess that's it. Oh wait, I saw the movie "Clerks" finally. I love Kevin Smith's movies- I've seen Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike back and Clerks now. I love all of them, even if critics don't really like two out of three of those movies. I recommend them heavily just because of how funny they are, heh. And for the Muse's strip scene in Dogma. :o
Ok, NOW I guess that's it. Stay cool, little cows.
Adios dudes, dudettes, heads of state and otherwise.
P.S. Chrono Cross rules.
P.P.S. The above rant was not aimed at any of you directly. If you think so, uh. Well. What can I do? lol.
