   3/17/05 - Finally Happened
Yesterday morning, it finally happened.. My grandfather passed away. Honestly, I'm not sad at all... I know if I was him, I would have been wishing for it all to end. Seeing how helpless he was when we went to visit him in February for his birthday, he could barely talk and always had this confused look on his face. It was like he didn't know who we were anymore. It was sad really, but I don't think much of it. I have mixed emotions about some of the things now though. Like the first thing I thought when my mother told me the news was, "Finally... I bet Grandma has a bit of relief now." I didn't say that a loud to my mother though of course. You may think I'm heartless by saying that but think about it... If you have ever seen anyone with old-timer's, mad cow, or this CJD... You'd be happy to know it's finally over and they aren't suffering any longer...
