well, my tv's cable died. i thought it was the coax cable, because when i wiggled the cable, the signal would return for a bit. so today i went to best buy and bought a new cable. same problem...no signal unless i wiggle the cable. so i figured out it's the tv, not the cable. the plug where the coax cable goes can move. when i move it up, there's a signal, but when i let go, it falls and the signal disappears. way i see it, i have two options...get a new tv or build some kinda contraption to hold the plug up. think i'll buy a new tv (much easier). i just figured out i can afford a new tv too. when i got money outta my checking account last night and looked at the receipt, i discovered i have $800 more than i thought i did. i found one i really want, but can't afford a 42" flat plasma screen one ($4000...although i can pay $70 a month and get it). i really don't have room for a tv that big though, and my tv stand thing only holds about a 27" or 29" screen at the biggest. basically the stand is my mom's old nightstand with a tv turntable thing on top...nothing real fancy, but it's nice because i can turn the tv to watch it from my computer or while laying in bed.

actions. i kinda like that. it means i can get away with anything without
ever being responsible for it. on the other hand, that could be a bad thing.
responsibility for our actions and being held responsible is one of the things
that keeps mankinds' evil nature subdued.

still having picture saving problems
what i meant with the post yesterday is jpg and gif are not even options to save a file as. the only options on the drop down menu are art and bmp files. it's starting to drive me nuts =/

tech question
anyone know why all the images i find online are suddenly trying to save as .art or .bmp files? i used to be able to find jpgs or gifs just fine, but within the past month nothing but .art or .bmp exists. is there something on my computer i can change to allow me to save an image as a jpg or am i just basically screwed by all these .art things? my comp can't seem to open .art or .bmp files. it used to, but something's wrong with it now...wonder if i should try wiping my hard drive again...but i really don't want to reinstall all the crap i have on it again.

well, i found firefly (series serenity was based on) at the mall for $50. i didn't feel like paying that much, so i found it online for $40...still more than i wanted to pay, but better than $50. it should be here in a week or so. i chose the no shipping cost option, so it takes a bit longer to deliver. i also saw serenity again last night. one of my exes (still sort of a friend) wanted to go see it, so i went with her. the crowd in the theater this time were a lot more vocal than the other times i went. they laughed out loud, screamed, and gasped in certain parts. anyway, if you haven't seen it yet, go see serenity...see it lots and bring friends (i wanna sequel so get to payin').

i saw serenity again last night. it was a sort of spur of the moment thing. i was online looking at crap, then decided 'what the hell? i'm gonna go watch it again' so i did. i ran into emily (girl i went to school with) and her boyfriend there. they were there to see into the blue...haven't seen that one, but i'll bet serenity is much better. anyway, serenity is based on some show called firefly that was cancelled halfway through its first season, but apparently it's available on dvd. i love the movie, so now i wanna see the show. tomorrow (today by this site's clock) i'ma go to the mall and see if they have it at the movie store (fred meyers here didn't have it and the mall was closed by the time the movie got out).

lessee....on my birthday i went to the olive garden for dinner and had the all you can eat thing...i love that thing. whoever thought up the all you can eat concept is a freakin' genius. after that i went with ashley to see the exorcism of emily rose. i thought it was really good. it's one of those movies that while you're watching it, you're creeped out, but afterwards you don't think about it anymore, so you're not kept up all night. though if i wake up at 3am and smell something burning, i think i might cry...hehe. after the movie i met brandon to go to the strip club. he said jake, annie, and kelsey were coming too, so we waited around for jake to meet us, but he never showed. then annie and kelsey both backed out too, so it was just me and brandon. maybe it's a good thing the others didn't come. when we got to the club, it was dead. me and brandon were the only customers there, and there were only three girls. two of the girls came over and we talked for an hour or two. the other girl just sorta hung out somewhere. i just saw her go on the stage every once in a while, but not where she went after. right before we left, i got a private dance, and brandon went down to the stage. then we went to denny's (only place still open) and got some food, then went home. overall it wasn't too bad a day. coulda been better, but coulda been much worse too. brandon and i are both tired of people backing out of plans. they say yeah, i'll go, then at the last minute they change their minds...it's getting old.
