i was wandering around the mall the other day while my car was in the sears auto center getting its tie rod and wheel bearings replaced and i saw the pet store. it made me wanna set up my aquarium again. only problem is, i don't have the space in my room for the stand, so i got myself a little project to do. i'm going to get rid of my bookshelf to make room. if i do that, though, i won't have anywhere to store my old text books and other miscellaneous junk, so i decided to build a new stand with shelves built in. it's gonna be about 6 feet tall with 5 shelves. the third one from the bottom will hold the fishtank. the bottom will keep my books, and the one above that will have my dvd player on it. the rest of the shelves are gonna be for random junk. i'm sure random junk will make its way into the other things' spots too...it always does. ah well. i drew up a tentative design of what i want it to look like last night and went to home depot this morning to check what types of things they have about the right size. i'll have to adjust some of the specs based on the materials available, but overall, the look won't change. just a few minor dimensions changes.
