work last night
we had another exciting night at work last night. some lady was at the deli while her sister and daughter were on one of the aisles. the sister was grabbing something off the shelf and when she turned around to put it in the cart, she saw her niece climbing over the seatbelt thing. the kid took a head dive straight at the hard linoleum floor (18 months old). the aunt half caught the kid but her head still hit the floor. the mom came rushing over and held her daughter. then i heard some screaming (this is where i actually started to see what happened. the rest the aunt told me). the mom was screaming that she was unconscious and not breathing and to call 911. i was in the checkstand and my boss just walked by, so i yelled at him to go to the front counter and call the paramedics. the kid's eyes rolled back in her head and she quit breathing for a little while. after a few seconds the kid woke up and started screaming again. anyway, to make a long story short, the paramedics showed up, checked the kid out, and said she was all right. they didn't have to take her to the hospital or anything. hope this doesn't screw the kid up or anything.
