The Story of Peeping Tom.
you all may know what a peeping Tom is, but you may not know the origins.
Lady Godiva was the gorgeous wife of the Earl of Mercia, Leofric III. he was taxing the people unfairly and no matter what Lady Godiva said Leofric would lessen the taxes. So they made a bet, If Lady godiva would ride through the town naked.
And she did. she warned the towns people of what she would do and told them to lock the doors and shades. And that's what everyone did, except for Tom, who made a small hole in his shade.

Apparently this part of Peeping Tom in the legend wasn't added until the 1th century, so no one knows if it was true.
