| Ahhh...finally some rest. Today I got up to go to PE and play basketball with some other homeschooled kids and, because people don't like me wearing my steel-toed boots while playing, I dug out my running shoes. Having your toes stepped on by heavy boots can hurt, I guess. One of the girls even took a picture of me kneeling to show off my shoes, lol.I can move and jump faster with the running shoes than I can with my boots, but the running shoes aren't nearly as comfortable. Running and jumping also doesn't take as much effort with the shoes, since they're a lot lighter, but the downside of that is that I run and jump a lot more... So I actually end up getting more tired out, faster, than with my boots on. I must find balance, heh. After PE I went over to a friend's house to do a chemistry experiment with him and one of his sisters. Since we're all using the same chemistry book this year, we decided to do all the experiments together. This way we only had to buy one lab kit and we get more social interaction, apparently. That's the one real downside of homeschooling, I guess; you're not around people near as much. (Though for me, I actually consider that a plus in most cases. I'm not a very social person). So now I I'm finally home, with some time to relax. Tomorrow, though, I'll be getting up at 8:00 AM to go help babysit kids for two hours at my church during the women's Bible study. Apparently, a couple of the people that normally do it are gone or something, so they asked me to fill in for one of them. It'll be nice to get an extra $15 ($7.50 an hour for two hours), and I also might be working in the same room as the girl I like. ^_^ And yes, I do have my eye on someone, but don't get any ideas. We're just friends as of yet, and I don't plan on getting into anything serious for quite a while. I've heard her say she isn't going to start dating until she's ready to get married, and I agree. Edit: Hmm, scratch that -- I just got a call, and I guess one of the people that normally does the babysitting is going to be there after all. So that won't be happening. | |
