A Bunch of Stuff That Happened

Well, school went surprisingly well today, especially for having gotten up at about 5:00 PM. After getting up I messed around on the net for a few minutes, checking a couple things on OtakuBoards, before dinner was ready. Of course, I ended up eating dinner in front of my PC, so there really wasn't much of a pause in that regard. Watching the news while eating dinner isn't my thing. Or watching the news much at all, really. Unless something big is going on, I'm usually not interested.

Then came the mad rush to get dressed and ready in time for Wednesday night church. Though of course, just as it happens almost every time I do that, I ended up being ready before my parents were. The message in the highschool class...well, not today anymore, but yesterday...was on obeying your parents. Not something I usually have a problem with, but I did learn a few things I didn't know before. (Though, if you're reading this Samgee, I think it would have done you good to hear it. ~_^)

*puts on "Why Can't This Be Love?" by Van Halen* ^_^;
Yeah, I sat by that "someone" I mentioned in my last post. (And really, Samgee, if you can't narrow it down to two girls, three at the most, you're less perceptive than I thought. Either that or you don't care enough to try and figure it out -- that's good too). I try not to let it distract me from what the youth leader is saying, and it doesn't really, but dang! I've never had a crush this strong before, heh. Just our arms, even with the sleaves of our shirts between them, brushing together a bit on the armrest of our chairs... Okay, I'm starting to get sappy, aren't I? You get the idea, so I'll stop now. (And if I hear any smart remarks about "Dessy's in love!" there's going to be hell to pay. Take that as you will).

Back to the original subject of this post: school. After a bit of playing Animal Crossing and a post in FF Survivor 2, I hit the books. Good progress in chemistry was made, though I'm still behind. History was...well, history. I just read a few chapters, like usual. Surprisingly, English is my favorite subject this year, at least so far. (This coming from someone who used to hate English work and only liked math and science). Who woulda thunk it, eh?

And actually, I've become more and more interested in writing the last couple years (which I credit mainly to writing on OB and ShineGet.com), and one of my English books is all about how to write. So that's been enjoyable, though sadly, I'm almost done with it. I think it's really helped improve my writing, however. Sometimes I'll be writing a post on OB or wherever and I'll catch myself doing something that the book mentioned, and I'll stop and think how I could rewrite that bit in a better way. In fact, I did it with that very sentence.

So now here I am, with school done for...well, technically yesterday, but let's not get bogged down in the details, hmm? It's 2:00 AM, and I've got a few hours before I get tired enough to sleep. What should I do? Certainly not linger about, typing random nonsense at the end of the this post, that's for sure... Oh, heck, I can't resist. *runs off into the night screaming "proofreading time!"*
