| N-Sider.com is having a Mario Kart: Double Dash!! time trial competition, and I've been competing. The track is Yoshi Circuit, and the goal is simply to get the lowest time. So far I've gotten my time down to 1:49:815, using Toadette and Koopa on the Barrel Train, which places me in fifth. You can check out the scoreboard here, though that hasn't been updated for a bit. Currently it shows me in 7th, but my latest time would put me in 5th.
As you can see on that page, the prize for getting 1st place is a Flame GBA SP and Fire Emblem. I already have a GBA SP, but I'd really like Fire Emblem. (Though of course, I wouldn't refuse the SP, heh). I doubt I'll win, though. As you can also see, first place is about 2.5 seconds ahead of me, and it's becoming very hard to beat my ghost and get better times. But I'm hoping I can at least get into the top three. Wish me luck, eh? ^_^

Make that 1:48:908, putting me into 4th place. If I can shave off another 1.5 seconds tomorrow, I'll be competing for 1st! Maybe I will win this thing after all, eh? Too bad I'm not in the PAL competition, though--I'd already be in 1st if I were. | |
