| Well, so much for using the printer/scanner/copier on this computer. We really don't know why it doesn't work, either. (The only thing we really do know is that my computer is a [expletive deleted] up piece of [expletive deleted], and that it's not the printer screwing up since it worked fine on my brother's computer). My oldest brother said he thinks the motherboard might not fully support USB (despite having two USB ports), and that's why it doesn't work, but we don't actually know. If so, though, that means it'll probably never work without getting a new motherboard. Which will probably also mean getting a new CPU and new RAM. And while I'm at it, I might as well snag one of my other brother's old graphics cards. (I've got piece of [expletive deleted] on-board graphics currently). So pretty much, I'm looking at a full upgrade if I want to use the printer. And I won't be able to do that until Christmas and my birthday shortly after, if even then, because of lack of funds.
But, I'll still be able to scan my Ice Rod art. My oldest brother has a printer/scanner/copier almost just like our new one, so I'll just have him scan it. I was hoping to use our new one, but that's now out of the picture. So I'll probably get it up later today, if I remember to ask him about it. | |
