| I finally beat Chrono Cross today. So, now I've finally experienced the Chrono games for myself, and I'm very glad I did. Both Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are wonderful games, and I loved how the story in CC wove together with CT's so well. It really ties up all the loose ends from CT, explaining all the things I was going "But what about..." over, after beating CT.
I still like Chrono Trigger more, though. The battle system in Chrono Cross may have been fun since it was different from anything else I'd seen, and it was more than twice as long a game, but I just had more fun with Chrono Trigger. CT didn't seem as serious as CC did, at least not for the most part. But it did still get very serious in some parts, so I thought there was a good balance. CC's story seemed a little too...heavy? There didn't seem to be too many lighthearted parts to it, and less funny bits. It was a good story, and it was more complex than CT's I thought, but I just didn't have as much fun with it.
There were also some things in CC that made me go "Why the hell did they make it that way?!" And I never did that with CT, sooo... | |
