| Recently I've been playing a little freeware game called Zeldarius that I found a while ago. I played it quite a bit when I first got it, and now I've started playing it again. It's a top-down view space shooter that's Zelda themed; what would be your space ship in a normal shooter is a Link sprite from the original Legend of Zelda, and he shoots swords. You can also get Boomerangs that shoot out diagonally, and Bombs which instantly kill everything on the screen and make any enemy shots disappear. Heart Containers extend your life meter by one heart, and Rupees give you extra lives. Also, all the enemies are enemies from the original Zelda, with fitting attacks for each. For something so simple, it's a lot of fun -- and I'm not just saying that because it's Zelda themed, either. ^_^;If you'd like to try it out for yourself, you can download it at http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/Zeldarius.zip. It's only 638 KB zipped, and all you have to do to play it is unzip the files into a folder and double click the exe file. I've also made a text file with the controls and included it in the zip file. So far, my high score is 17,211. Think you can beat it? ^_^ Edit:
