Listening to: "Rebel Yell" - Billy IdolSurprisingly, my friends and I are still making light of the 3rd largest Atlantic-based hurricane in history. There's no point in freaking out; it just creates nasty people on the road. Although my parents came down Wednesday night, we didn't leave until yesterday at 6 AM. There was no way to get out of Houston. Some people changed their minds about leaving b/c the traffic was so awful. Dennis came along w/ us, and the trip took a total of 20 hours. That's about how long it takes to fly to Taiwan. :o Now I'm back home, still tired and hungry.
Big thanks to the people who helped us w/ the trip-- especially Dennis for driving part of the way, Marshall for giving us directions to the back roads, and Russell (Dennis' roommate) for letting my dad crash in their room. I hope everyone made it back to Dallas, Austin, San Antonino, etc. okay and that everyone riding it out at Rice will be okay.
