Watching: Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the ClonesIt was great having Thanksgiving dinner w/ my best friend Daphne. She and her sister Angela did an awesome job cooking dinner, even if there was no turkey. After eating and talking, we were going to watch a funny Korean film, but we had to leave.
I've been so tired today b/c I think I have a cold. I should be doing working on 1 of the 3 papers that are due next week or studying for a test, but I've been working all afternoon.
You know, everyone rags on the Star Wars prequels. While they can't compare to the original, they aren't so awful. Maybe it's b/c I can relate Anakin now. Sure he's angsty and awkward, but he's a teenager torn between love and duty, striving to be the best. His lines in Attack of the Clones were cheesy and sometimes creepy, but he's honest about his feelings, and that in itself is romantic. Anakin is a very emotional person, which can be a good or bad depending on the circumstances. I pity him b/c he needed people to believe in him, people that he could trust.
Quote of the night:
Padme - "To be angry is to be human."
Anakin - "I'm a Jedi. I can be better than this." (I understand his frustrations, but Padme is right. I tend to forget that.)
