   *Sigh*..
For some odd reason, I've gotten into writing poetry. That's kind of scary. It's not like I'm a writer or anything. But here's one of my new ones:

To Battle!

As the sun comes up the hill
Riders at dawn are seen
Galloping towards a certain demise
But- lo and behold! In between:

A rider tall, his eyes fiery
Clothed in mithril mail
Sword in hand, shield in other,
His hair whipping in the gale

The rider led his followers
Down the valley of fate
There they met their enemy
Their future, only death await

The two lines met with a clash
As the first line of both sides fell
They drew backwards to regroup
And charged again with a great yell

This time the enemy lost ground
Although it was regained in a flash
But in the midst of the fury
The leader took a serious gash

He fell from his horse in pain
As the enemy shouted in glee
His supporters went into disarray
And most of them began to flee

The leader stood up with an effort
And raised his sword in challenge
The enemy stared in disbelief
But then fell on him with a lunge

The leader slew foe after foe
Until he met with the captain himself
Then it was a one-on-one
On top of a steep cliff shelf

The rider was growing weary
Yet the enemy did not hesitate
Soon the leader had his back to the edge
And the enemy swung at his breastplate

The leader toppled over the rim
And grabbed the enemy’s arm
The foe was dragged down with him
As he cried out in alarm

Both of them fell into the deeps
Never to be seen again
But this brave rider’s tale
Is forever remembered by his men

Quote of the day: Is it just me, or does the world change in odd ways?
