~*The Blossom
I had seen a blossom once in the fields of Kansas. It was such a rare sight for only wheat is all the eye can see. But, this blossom stands alone, proud and tall. It withstood the rain, the snow, and the sun. The flower seemed invincible. But all in all, there was one thing that could destroy it: man.
They plowed through the fields and ripped it from its bearing. I could only stand and watch. My father told me that it was a weed in the field. To me, it was the diamond among the coal. And now, it rests along the ground until it disappeared.
Five years later, I found five more like the first. Then, I knew that life can never be rid of. It can only evolve through death.
