   visits and such...

wow...400 visits...never thought it'd reach there...perhaps i'm more popular than i thought...or not... so i realized only moments ago that it's been a good year since the last time i drew NE thing...all my submitted FanArt were of drawings that i did years ago...so i figured that one of these days (sometime soon i hope) i'll start drawing again...cuz truthfully i kinda miss it...but u all know how it is...busy, busy, busy...especially now with all this college crap...let's hope i'll still have time to do all the fun things i used to... I love Ren & Hao. What about you?

revelations and what-not...

i've come to the realization that i need to start commenting on pplz's pages...i have a list of 31 pplz (33 now that i added 2 more pplz) on my friend's list and i don't comment on a single one of them when they update...i read them...i just don't comment...shame on me!!!... for the sake of my sanity & urs i shall try to start commenting on pages...in the meantime i ran across a "U know ur Azn if..." list...i must admit a good few of it did apply to me (me being azn and all)...and some of it i didn't get...here be the list: ø You Know You're Asian If . . . ø Your mother has a short-haired, curly perm. Your dad is some sort of engineer. Your parents still tried to get you into places half-price saying you were 12 when you were really 15. You ask your parents help on one math problem and 2 hours later they're still lecturing. You have a 40 lb. bag of rice in your pantry. You shop 99 Ranch. Everyone thinks you're "Chinese" no matter what part of Asia your ancestors were from. You've had a bowl haircut at one point in your life. Your parents enjoy comparing you to their friends' kids. You've had to sit through karaoke videos with scantily clad, ugly Asian women attempting to dance and walk around a temple, forest or library. Your parents say, "Don't forget your heritage." You drive mostly Japanese cars. You've learned to keep bargaining even if the prices are rock bottom. You've had to eat parts of animals they don't even put in hot dogs. At least once, you've started a joke with "Confucius say..." You know what bok choy is. You've ever gotten little red envelopes around February. Piles of shoes tend to make it hard to open the front, back and closet doors. You hear (your name + eee (optional) + yah!) every time someone calls you. (e.g., Jean-ee-yah! or Mary-yah!). You have NO eyelashes. Idiot people try to impress you with pathetic imitation Asian languages, like the ever-so-popular: ching chong woo bok chi, etc... Your parents say leaving rice in your bowl is a sin. The Bio lectures on marine life (seaweed, sea cucumbers, octopii) was last night's dinner. Your ancestors 1000 generations back invented the back scratcher. At least one family member wears black wire/plastic frame glasses. Your parents hover over your tired, caffeine-drugged body at 12 midnight to say, "In Korea (or other native country), we studied even more." Your parents expect you'll be best friends with any one off the street in any give area as long as they are Asian. An Asian woman comes on campus and people ask: "Is that your mother? Well then, is it your sister?" Your relatives' houses smell like incense, mothballs or both. Your parents say, "Calculus? I took calculus in 8th grade!!" Everyone thinks you're good at math. Your parents' vocabulary is filled with "Ai-yahs and Wah's". You like $1.75 movies. You like $1.50 movies even more. Your aunts and uncles bring you back adorable clothing from Asia with fuzzy bunnies, vinyl ducks and English words that make no sense, in great colors like yellow, pink, magenta, orange and the ever popular lime green. Your parents insist you marry within your race. You never order chop suey, sweet and sour pork, or any other imitation oriental food. You either really, really want to go to UCI or really, really want to stay away from it. Your parents have never kissed you. Your parents have never kissed each other. You learned about the birds and the bees from someone other than your parents. "You want a stereo!" When I was your age, I didn't even have shoes!!" People see a bunch of scribbles on a chopstick and ask you to translate. You have to call just about all your parent's friends "Auntie and Uncle." You have 12+ aunts and uncles. At expensive restaurants, you order a delicious glass of water for your beverage and NEVER order dessert. Your parents simply cut the green/black part off the bread and say "Eat it anyway. It's still good." The vast majority of the people related to you wear glasses. Thick glasses. You will most likely be taller than your parents. Your parents have either made you play the piano, the violin or both. You get nothing if you do well in school, but get in big trouble if you don't. When going to other peoples' houses, you always have to bring a gift. Your dad still pulls his socks up to his knees, you know, the ones with the blue and pink stripes at the top. Your family owns a tennis racquet, golf clubs, or both. Your family always cheers for the Asian athlete on TV (i.e., Michael Chang). The furniture in your house never matches the wallpaper, the carpet, the decorations or any of the rest of the furniture. You have rocks, sticks, leaves and strange-smelling, unknown substances in your pantry for use as medicine. You own a rice cooker or two. You buy soy sauce by the gallon. Your family owns butcher knives bigger than your head. Your parents tell you about how long it took for them to get to school, how horrible the weather was in their native country, and how much they still appreciated going. Your parents buy you clothes and shoes many sizes too big so you can "grow into it" and wear it for years to come." I love Ren & Hao. What about you?

   dreams can be real...

man...that was freakin' scary... u ever had one of those dreams that it was so real u could feel everything?...i think i just had one...except...it was weird...scared the crap outta me so much i woke up immediately...and it's too freaking early for me to be up like this... the dream started off normal as NE other dream...just a bunch of stupid things...the next thing i know everything was dark and there was this weird (realistic) sensation...it felt like a hand was rubbing my belly...u would think that it would've been kinda creepy but i wasn't...i actually felt comforted...strange i know but it was no ordinary ending to a dream...it was weird... i could feel every movement of the hand, every stroke and i knew exactly what the hand was doing...whether it was the back of the hand touching my stomach, the palm, or just the fingers...it was soft and gentle and it reminded me of...someone...someone in particular who used to do that to me all the time when we were "playing house" so to speak... and it was so real...i could feel their hesitation as my hand searched for theirs...i could feel the warmth of their hand under mine soothing me and calming...telling me that they were fine...it was as if they were trying to tell me that everything would turn out ok in the end...and just when i was starting to believe them...when i was sure that they were right...i had to wake up... NE one know what that means?... I love Ren & Hao. What about you?

the dentist says...

so i went to the dentist the other day...i was ony supposed to get my teeth cleaned but u know how they r...they gotta find something wrong... as it turns out i still got a root of a baby tooth stuck in my gums...and i need 3 fillings...and they still didn't clean my teeth... so i gotta go back Thursday so they can try and get rid of the root of the tooth, give me a filling, and finally clean my teeth...now that's a tall order...and i still gotta get 2 fillings after that...there goes my perfect record... o well...it's all good!!!...in the meantime... acting a fool...

so the 4th of July was great...being stupid as usual and doing some "Jackass" worthy stuff... the crew made another fire this year with all the leftover fireworks and a bit of gasoline just for fun...they got my brother to jump over it...twice... i took pictures...it's gonna be a while til i get them developed though... I love Ren & Hao. What about you?

   i'm back...

so i survived the camping trip...twas quite fun actually though i did get a little fried...must remember to put more sunscreen on next time...it's more fun if ur not in pain... got to go canoing which was a lot of work for the arms...but i managed...it was still fun despite that...stopped a couple of times to jump into the water and swim for a bit... got a couple of pictures outta the trip too...i think mostly of turtles on logs as we were passing them by on the river...o well...turtles r cool...got pretty darn close to them too... i kinda wanna go again...it was fun...but hopefully next time there's more pplz...there was only 4 of us so not as much fun as it could have been...we'll see next time... I love Ren & Hao. What about you?

   gonna be gone for a couple of days...

so ima be off camping for the next couple of days...haven't been camping before so ima little nervous...let's hope i make it back alive...i'm sure i'll have fun there...i can have fun just about NE where...but i wanna make it back alive... wonder how mom's gonna hold up...this will be the first time i'm away from the family for more than couple of hours...i guess that's what happens when ur the baby...o well...i'll tell u guys about it when i get back...i might have pictures too... in the mean time take a look at this... ...tis a snowpimp (a snowman pimp) outside his Play-Doh house...yeah me & my friends were bored...but it makes for a nice photo op doesn't it?...ah, the coolness that are my friends...happy trails...
