Halo 2 story.
1400 hours, September 17, 2552 (revised date, Military Calendar)\ Aboard UNSC vessel Gettysburg, approaching Earth.

The armory of the Gettysburg was a small, cramped hallway. It was hard for the Master Chief to get through but he made it. Shelves along the halls held boxes of fragmentation grenades, human weapons, and four HAVOK tactical nuclear missles.
The Master Chief, John, grabbed the new human weapon. It was called the Battle Rifle. It seemed like a normal assault rifle but slimmer, and a scope on the top. It also carried the same size clip as an old assault rifle except it was not an automatic weapon. But it was good for close-range combat.
He slung the Battle Rifle over the shoulder of the MJOLNIR's armor. A bag under the Battle Rifles in the armory held clips to the gun. He took ten and stuffed them into a pouch in his pocket. Then he moved on and grabbed four frag grenades.
His LZ on Earth was going to be hot. Sgt. Johnson, one of the few survivors that fought on Halo, had gave him permission to go to Earth ahead of them. They were to rendevous a few miles away from New Mombasa. From there, Avery Johnson was going to pick him up in the Pelican. Cortana had planned all of this out.
ONI top brass had told them that the loss of the Master Chief would mean the worst for the humans. The Covenant had finally invaded Earth. And they needed help.
A creak of the hangar doors opened up in the room to John's right. The doors to the hangar slid open as John stepped to them and then went passed them.
"Here we are, Chief," Cortana's voice echoed in his mind. "Look over the edge, I need to see what we're up against."
"I understand." He walked up to the edge and peered over it. A Covenant cruiser was below them. The shield displays on his HUD went to max. Cortana was powering the shields up for the jump.
"Ready whenever you are." The Chief jumped from the hangar and the thrusters on his back kicked on. A few minutes later and he was riding the enemy ship to Earth. The human homeworld was being invaded. He had to protect it. He had never lost before. No matter how many people were killed, lost, or wounded. He would not fail...He always won.

That's it for now. I'll write another part after I do my homework and get to watch a movie to Halo 2. I'm trying to make it be as close to the real thing as I can.
