Duck's Bird of the Day
Hello, sorry for not visiting many sites. Oh I just watched this strange Japanese Zombie movie called "Versus." LOL. Hey do any of you have any suggestions on what I should do to my site ( I want to add more stuff, but I don't know). Hey I think I am now starting to adjust back to Eastern Standard time, Kind of late.
Green-tailed Towhee
A small towhee. It is ID by Gray face, red brown cap and a white chin. Has a greenish tail. Often seen on the ground. This bird makes some mimicry sounds, but also makes a 2-3 note whistle and a harsh "weetee" trill. Found in the South west and Rocky Mt. states and Mexico.

Canada Goose
A bird most of you should be famillier with. Easily ID by Black head with white patches on cheecks, Black neck, white breast and brown back. Traditionally a migratory bird, but theya have become permanent residents in many areas of the US. They make a "honk" or "hink" sound. Found in almost all of continental US and Canada.

Duck's Bird of the Day
Hi everyone, sorry for no being around for a bit. Busy!! Oh wedensday was so awesome, at the arcade a kid just came over to me and gave me 28 tokens, so cool! I played a lot of DDR. Well ok, gulp..... here is my pic. My hair went back to normal.

Yup I am kind of ugly, huh?
Well anywho, here is the final different continent bird thing. Asia, last but not least.
Spot-billed Duck
Found in freshwater wetlands through out south east Asia. (including India and Japan). It is a large brown duck with a tan neck and a black bill with a yellow spot on the tip. Also has a white tip on wings. Also has white and black stripes on sides of face. Usually rather quite.

Duck's Bird of the Day
Hello all, just finished an interesting talk about religion with a few of my friends, wow there is a lot I have never heard about, and I do know a lot. Anywho, I will try to post my pic........ tomorrow, perhaps. So lets see, if you could be any Anime character, who would it be? Hmmm being kinda random again. I am sure many others have asked that before, but just wondering. So only 2 more continents to go, for my different continent bird thing.
Bat Falcon
A 24-29 cm falcon that is found primarly in the rain forests of South America, mainly nortnern and western. Traditionally found in undisterbed forests. Looks rather similar to most falcons. ID by its black cap and mask (sides shorter than Pregrine), white collar, blueish back, and horizontal strips on belly (as an adult). Extremely predatory. They spend most of their lives hunting.
They make a sound that sounds like a rusty wheel barrow.

Duck's Bird of the Day
Hello everyone, ok I will post my pic (older or newer) in a few days. Oh I am so happy I have today (tuesday) and tomorrow off. To answer dream wings' question, I would probably want bird wings, Yay!!! If you all have any other questions, please ask. Just being kinda random, but for those who have seen all FMA episodes in japanese, which is your favorite opening song, mine is the last one "Rewrite" (I am not sure if the songs are different in the English version???), never really seen it in English. Yup my randomness. lol. Ok we have Australia, Antarctica, Africa, and Europe. 3 more to go. in my different continent bird thing (yup including N. America).
Green Jay
Just like other Jays, this bird is rather intelligent. Easily ID by its green, lime underbelly, blue crown and black chin and bib. Found around humans in large flocks. Like crows and other Jays they gain up on predatory birds and attack them with dive bombing tactics. The largest population is found from the southern tip of Texas all through Mexico down to Ecuador, even though they can be found in some parts of Northern South America. They make a "cheh cheh cheh" sound and they mimic also.

Duck's Bird of the Day
Hello everyone, hmmmm I understand that you all want to see a pic of me and my hair, well it doesn't look like that much once all the stuff my sis put in my hair came out, but still a bit. I don't know, I might post one later. Oh to answer Kevmart's question, my favorite movie is the 13th Floor, really cool! Oh just so you know, Lacey Swiss is the same thing as Alpine Lace Swiss, don't harras the person working at the deli, we don't need that, lol. Lets see, we have had Australia, Antarctica, and Africa. On to continent # 4.
European Bee-eater
A quite common bird in Southern Europe, but also breeds in Great Britan. Easily ID by its rainbow like appearance. It has red brown on cap and back, white over beak, black beak, then a yellow chin and brown stripe encircling throat, and then a green blue breast and belly. It is found in fields and marshes. Often feeds on insects that are fighting each other (two for the price of one, pretty cool). They make a rolling "Prep" sound.

Duck's Bird of the Day
Hi everyone, oy vei, I let my sis cut my hair and do what not to it (big mistake) and now I have this Gackt looking hair style (no offence to him), yup kind of a strange thing to post about. Anyways back to work for me, booo! Well on to the 3rd day of my different continent bird thing. Oh if you guys want to know anything else about me just ask, anything, really.
Egyptian Goose
This is yet again another aggressive bird. Easily ID by its whiteish gray body, white black outlined bill with red at base of it,long pink legs and black circle around eyes. They are found in Africa south of the Sahara, Nile Valley, and Southern Israel (my little cousin likes to play with these birds). Usually found near water (duh). Sometimes considered pests, because they feed on crops. They make a loud "Kak kak" sound. Breeds in both north and south of the equator.

Duck's Bird of the Day
Hi, really sorry for not getting to many sites, I didn't get to spend much time at my comp. Oh I finally got an AA in Holic and A (the song) for DDR (only standard though). Well here is the next bird from another continent.
Antarctic Skua
A very aggressive 140cm bird. Extremely defensive birds as well. They slam their beaks into the heads of the enemies (often resulting in severe damage). They do not make nests, instead they just lay egges on a flat surface. The are extremely protective parents. They are ID by their grayish/whitish color and all black beak, and slightly orange neck at certain parts of the year. They also have small white patches on under parts of wings. They are found primarly near ocean shores of Antarctica and near by islands. They mostly eat eggs of Adelie Penguins, dead penguins, and small fish. They show some gull traits, like eating almost anything). They make a loud "scoo ha" (one could interpret it another way, but it is best not go there). Sorry the only version of the call I could find was in a format that I could not put up here.

Duck's Bird of the Day
Hello everyone. Yay!!! I get today (friday) and Saturday off. Soooo happy! I will try to get to all of your sites then. As requested by Blueeyes, I shall post an Australian bird. I love Australia, sooo cool!!! I had to do a little research on this one, because I never saw one in the wild before. Perhaps I will do a bird from every continent, for awhile. Often sold as pets.
Pink Cockatoo
Around 35 cm. It has a Pinkish/Whitish body and it has darker pink in the underside of the wings. They have a tufted crest which has red and yellow stripes when it is fanned out. They have red above the beak. It can be found in many arid and semi arid regions in Australia (not Tasmania). They give a loud call, usually as defensive alarm. Usually found in tall trees, this bird often eats in small groups. Also called by numerious other names.
