Duck's Bird of the Day
My first Bird of the Day on my new site. Sorry for not visiting many sites or adding many of you as friends; things been a little hectic, with this situation and finals. Yay my last final is today (Monday) at 8am. For those of you who just came by, if you want me to resign your GBs let me know. Thanks again so much for being great friends.
Blue Grosbeak
The Males of these birds are prodominately blue with two red bars on the wings. They also have a large silvery beak with some black on the upper portion. However, the females are just a plain grayish brown color. They only have a brownish beak. The make a warbling song and a very load "chink" call. They are found in most of the continental US, with the exception of most of florida, new england, much of west coast, great lakes area, and areas of midwest north of south dakota.
