Duck's Bird of the Day
Hi, sorry I have not been around to everyones' site, again. Wow yesterday I went to bed at 8pm, I usually sleep at 1 or 2am. Oh if you were wondering about the way my comp got messed up, it was mainly due to my Edit Profile page, I was working on it, clicked out of it, and when I came back, all that was there was my introduction box and the ON/OFF switch, it was off and everything else that should be on that page was in programable format in the box, such as the option to turn comments on and the ability to submit changes. So I could do no changes to it, and it was locked off, so I just made a new one.

Ring-neck Duck
Now this duck was poorly named, it has a brownish ring on the neck, but it is almost invisible. This duck should have been named the Ring-billed Duck, it has a whitish ring around the base and a thicker one closer to the front, of the bill. Black body with an exception of the grayish white sides and yellow eyes are also good ways of ID it. The females however are mostly shades of brown with a white ring around eye and no yellow, They have a small white ring on bill. They are found in much of the continental US, with the exception of a small band of middle states stretching from either coast, such as much of Utah, etc. Females make a rather soft "grrr" sound while males make a loud whisle sound.
