Welcome to my site archives. 10 posts are listed per page.
Well...it's official. My life totally sucks. It some how sliped through my fingers between the time I woke up yesterday morning, (according to otaku it's a new day), and I woke up at noon!, the time i am now going to bed, which happens to be around 2 am. And wow! that was such a run-on sentance. What happened you ask? well.....
Once I woke up, I was so tired of mom pestering me that I finally decided to call work, only to find out that i'd been fired. Apparently, since I didn't report back on a day that I didn' even know I would really be available for, I was fired. What B.S. Oh well...they can kiss my royal behind.
Next, I was greated by my long lost friend. We proceeded to go to the bank, deposit money, and then to the mall. There we walked around, and I applied at one of our book stores. I don't know if any thing will turn out from it, but I'll let you guys know.
After that, we came home, ate food, watched Candidate for Goddess, and played DDR. I have to say, having my friend here was what really kept me going. Thanks there sis, you're the best.
Also, my dad thought it was my fuel pump that was bad in my car. So we went to AutoZone to buy a new one at $130 a pop. Only to find out that that isn't what the problem is. The problem is apparently my main computer, which basically could cost more money that I have at the moment. I think I might just try to get a new car...but I need a job to do that. *cries*
The good news is that my brother might be able to get me a job at his work, might is the key word here. All I know is that it's seeming that I need money, and quick. Why does everything in this world have to be controlled by money?
At least I have friends that support me. That's all that really matters. *hugs everyone* I love you guys. Comments (6) |

The Twists of Fate: Chapter Two: Part 2
I followed Mr. Miouga down the hall, up a couple flights of stairs, and into a classroom I had never been into before. Inside the classroom were thousands of cables, each hooked up to one single laptop that was sitting on a desk in the middle of the room.
“I hear your good with computers, Miss Kaoru.”
“Well, sort of…”
“Take a seat.”
I sat down at a chair that was next to the laptop. Mr. Miouga stood behind me.
“OK, access it.”
“But, how?” I asked. “It’s asking for a password.”
“You know how. Just do it your way.”
“What do you mean?”
“Hack into it.”
“What???”
“Mr. Miouga, what are you doing???”
“Mrs. Billblock!” She was standing in the doorway, and boy was I ever glad to see her.
“Ms. Kaoru, you may return to your class.”
“Yes, ma’am.” I said as I raised to get out of the chair.
“She’s staying right here.” Mr. Miouga said as he pushed me back down. “I know there’s something in that computer, Mrs. Billblock, something you want no one to see, and I’m going to figure it out.”
Mrs. Billblock’s face turned a deep crimson red, and boy was she mad.
“How dare you accuse me of such things!” she yelled.
I saw my opportunity and ran straight past them and out the door.
“Come back here Miss Kaoru!” I heard her voice yell from behind me, but I kept running. I could tell she was running behind me, trying to catch me, but I wasn’t the star of the track team for nothing. I sprinted as fast as I could down the hall, and turned the corner to tell Brian and Sarah what had just happened.
“AAHHHH!”
“Is she going to be ok?”
“Yes, yes…she’ll be fine.”
“Are you sure?”
“Oh, no! This is all my fault.”
“Yes, yes….she’ll be fine. Look she’s waking up.”
I slowly opened my eyes, the light was unusually bright. There was someone’s face right above mine. As my eyes got adjusted to the light I saw that the face belonged to Sarah. Her eyes were confused and scared.
“Karrie…”
“What….what happened?”
Again she looked at me with those scared eyes, afraid to talk.
“Karrie…”
I stood up and looked around. Everyone was looking at me with fear in their eyes.
“Why are you guys looking at me like that?”
“You…you just fell down two flights of stairs.”
“So…”
“Aren’t you hurt?”
“No, I feel just fine. Come on Sarah, stop looking at me like that.”
“Karen!” I heard Brian’s voice, and turned around to see him coming down the hall. He stopped right in front of me, and put his hands on my shoulders, “Are you ok?”
“Yeah, I just told these guys I’m fine.”
“Ms. Kensze, is she ok?”
“Yes, yes…I think she’ll be ok, but let’s get her into my office and check her out.”
“Alright everyone, back to your classes,” came Mrs. Billblock’s voice. “Mr. Miouga, we need to talk. I’ll see how she’s doing in a couple of minutes, Alice.”
“Yes, yes…that will be fine. You three,” Ms. Kensze said pointing to Brian, Sarah, and me. “Let’s go.”
Ms. Kensze led us down the hall, and into her office.
“Take a seat, Ms. Kaoru.”
I sat down on the bed that was next to the wall. Brian and Sarah stood on the other side of the room.
Ms. Kensze began to examine me.
“Well, I see nothing wrong with you.” She said as she finished. “Do you know how you fell?”
“No,” I said as I sat there thinking. “I must have tripped.”
“Yes, yes…that would make sense. What were you doing in the halls anyway. You were supposed to be in your second hour class.”
“Oh…I was doing something for Mr. Miouga.”
“Huh…ok…you two,” she said pointing to Brian and Sarah. “You take care of her while I go get some ice. It will stop the swelling of that bruise.”
“Bruise…what bruise?” I asked. Then I looked down at my leg. There, right on my shin was a huge purple circle.
“Oh, no!” I said staring at it. Comments (1) |

Just posting a small tid-bit of thoughts this evening...or morning, however you look at it. Here's a question: How many nights in a row can it rain in Kansas? Well, we're up to...what is it...about 6 nights now I think. Frankly...I wouldn't really mind, except that I need my car fixed, and I want to go swimming. Both of which you can't do after it's rained, and it's going to rain again the next night. *sighs* Oh well....I hope everyone liked the next segment of the story. Katie...we really need to do something. I'm sick of mom pestering me. Please! Get me out of here! Comments (2) |

Coons in Kansas!!
Hello again! I hope everyone had a great Father's Day, and told their father's that they love them, (even if they really don't, it's still the gusteur that matters). My day was a little wierd.....
So I woke up this morning around 2 p.m., you know, my usuall time. So then I had to go to one of my grandma's house for lunch, and you know do the family thing. We where only there for about an hour. So then me and Danny decided that we wanted to buy a new game, so we bought DDR. Let's just say Duo will be losing weight soon! Yay! I did it for about 20 mins. What a workout! Not to mention it's fun!
After that, I waited arond till about 6 and then I had to go to my other grandparents house. We where there till about 10 or so. Oh my goodness! Ok, my uncle lives right next door to my grandparents, and I was coming back from his house. Well, the way we usually go in is from the back door. So I procedded towards the backyard, but decided to look at the new lights g-ma had in the backyard. So i go to the end of the fence, and there's this tree there. All of a sudden, I hear a hisss. I look up into the trees, and see 2 coons! Luckily, g-pa was just coming outside at the time, and I ran over to him and told him there where coons in the tree. It scared me! G-pa then told me to go inside, and he grabbed his bee-bee gun and proceded to shoot them. Served them right! of course, it takes more than a bee bee to kill a coon, but it scared them away. Interesting huh?
So now I'm back home, working on my story yet again. Listening to the Bebop Sountracks.
Mom keeps yelling at me to go back to work, but I don't want to. I want a new job. The bookstore sounds fun, but they're not hiring. Any other suggestions?
N/E ways, I'll post the next chapter tomarrow (Tuesday). Till then, hope everyone has a great week! Bye! Comments (3) |

The Twists of Fate: Chapter Two: The Second Hour.....Part 1
~Sorry the last one was so long..I didn't know how to split that chapter up, so I just posted all of it. Here is the beginning of Chapter Two. I'm making it short so it's easier on you guys.~
Thanks to Sarah, I was feeling better, but I couldn’t get the whole notion that something bad was going to happen go away. I made my way through the halls with Sarah and met up with Brian outside of the class.
“What’s wrong,” he asked as we stepped inside the classroom.
“You know me too well,” I said as we took our seats at the back of the class. Brian had been my friend even longer than Sarah had. He was my height and had dark brown hair that was cut short. His semi-long bangs covered his eyes from time to time. Today he had them bushed back, and you could see those green eyes looking at you. He was fit, he played soccer after all, and was the nicest person in the world.
“It’s kinda easy to tell when your best friend doesn’t look well. Are you sick?”
“No, I….”
BEEP!
The bell rang to begin the class.
“Where’s the teach?” Sarah asked.
“So,” Brian asked.
“I…I met someone this morning.”
“What!” He said. I looked up into his eyes, and I was confused by the look they held. His eyes were searching mine, trying to figure out the answer to a question he wanted, but dare not ask.
“I see.” He said as he looked down.
“It’s not like that,” I said. “It’s…” I told him everything that happened this morning. I didn’t leave out anything (except the dream). He could usually solve my problems for me, he was good at that.
“Oh,” he said looking down again. It looked like he was contemplating what to say. “Well,” he said at last, “I…”
“Good morning, everyone!” Our teacher ran through the door.
“Good morning, Mr. Miouga!”
“Well, I’m glad everyone is here!” He said looking over us very quickly. “I’m sorry to say, I have something to do at the moment, so if you could all stay quite while I’m gone, that would be great. Miss Kaoru, please come with me.”
“Yes, sir,” I said, looking quizzically at him. “Bye,” I said to Brian and Sarah.
“See ya next hour.” Sarah said.
“Brian.”
“What, Sarah.”
“Why don’t you just tell her?”
“I’m afraid of what she might say. I mean what if she says no…”
~There we go...I hope that was enough to get you started on what's going to happen.~ Comments (4) |

I'm Back!
Hey everyone! I missed you all bunches, but now I'm finally home. Oh my gosh! I had SOOO much fun. I wish I could have stayed there, but alas. Kansas is my true home. I'll post again saying what all we did. We went everywhere it seems. I hope everyone has had a great week, and I hope to talk to you more later.
Yeah! I'm glad Red likes the story, and Nikki, you still have time to read it! ^^. In fact, Red, I was thinking about turning this into a manga when I was done. Want to help? ^_~ Comments (4) |

The Twists of Fate: Chapter One: The Dream
“Hold it right there!”
The voice seemed far away as the only thing I could hear was the fierce beating of my heart.
“Someone, stop him!”
I ran as fast as my legs would carry me, zigzagging through the people that crowded the street. My mind kept saying, “I must keeping going. I must keep running.” But I knew not from what it was I was running from. I looked behind me, only to see nothingness. A complete and empty void. There was no one there. I turned back around and the ground began to crumble underneath my feet. “What’s going on?” The thought raced through my mind as I started to scream. Everything around me was breaking up, disintegrating. I began to fall. As I looked up I saw a flash of light, and a hand outstretched.
“Take my hand,” a voice said. I grabbed the hand and it pulled me up out of the darkness. The light was unusually bright. I looked for a face, but the figure was robed. The light was coming from behind him, his face was in shadow. He took me in his arms and said, “I’ll never let anything happen to you.” He pulled me close to him. A tear ran down my cheek as I felt his gentleness so close to me. “Who are you?” I asked. I thought I saw a small smile under the hood as a bright light appeared and I began to fall. Falling. Falling. “Good-bye,” the voice said as I screamed.
“Wake up! Wake up! Karrie, wake up!”
I shot up in bed breathing deeply trying to catch my breath, the events playing over and over again in my head.
“Karrie, it was just a dream. Calm down.”
Was it really just a dream? I could feel him, I could touch him, and I felt his breath.
“Come on, now. You’ll be late for school.”
School! Oh, school! Maybe it was just a dream. Or maybe it was real and this is just a dream of my memories before I die. What was reality?? What was the truth???
“Mom!” I yelled. “What’s today?’
“It’s Wednesday, Karen. Don’t you remember? Your concert’s tonight.”
“Oh.” The thought calmed me within the instant that it left her lips. My concert was tonight. And it was going to be fun. I gave my mom a hug. “Thank you,” I said.
“For what?” she asked.
“Just for,” was my reply. I couldn’t tell her the truth of what just happened. I guess it comes from being “chosen”.
I got dressed, ate breakfast, kissed my mom good-bye, gathered my books from the table, and headed for school. I was wearing my uniform, a blue skirt cut up to my thigh, and a white sailor-like suit, with a small red bow in the front. In just a few hours, I would be changing into my groups’ clothes. I was already starting to feel the rush. I took a huge breathe to calm myself.
“Stop him! Stop that man!”
I turned around just in time to see a young man around my age coming my way.
BAM!
He ran straight into me and knocked me to the ground, my books scattering everywhere.
“Out of my way,” the man said as he ran past.
“Stop him!” the owner yelled.
I looked around trying to comprehend what had just happened. Then it hit me. This was just like my dream. What was going to happen next????
“Are you ok?”
“What?” I looked up to find the voice and was blinded by the glare of the sun. I could just make out the outline of a young man.
“Are you alright?” He asked again as he bent down and began gathering up the books I had dropped. He turned around. My heart began to beat faster as I looked into his eyes, blue, strong.
“I guess,” I said as I slowly got to my feet, brushing the dirt off my skirt.
“Here’s your books,” he said as he handed them to me. I got the first real look of him. He was tall, and had dark brown hair. He was skinny, but not really skinny because you could see his muscles. He was fit, if anything, and boy was he cute.
“Thanks,” I said, going a little red.
“You should be more careful,” he said as he put his hands on his hips. There was a weird accword silence.
“My name’s Pete,” he said as he outstretched his hand.
“I’m Karen,” I said as I shook it. “Thanks for your help.”
“Don’t mention it. Hey, would you happen to know where the Nortek School is?”
“Yeah, that’s that school I go to. It’s right there actually.” I said pointing to my school that was now in view.
“So, that’s my school.” He said as he let go of my hand. “Would you mind showing me around?” he asked. “Today’s my first day.”
“No….no problem,” I said as my face got even redder.
“Great,” he said as he took my hand. “Let’s go.”
I felt a calmness flow through me. His face shown in the light. Is he the one from my dream? I closed my eyes, and tried to remember the way the hooded face looked.
“We’re here,” Pete said as we stepped through the gate.
I opened my eyes and looked up at my school. The pale peach stones that lead the way to the front doors were covered with the feet of people rushing into the entrance. The building itself was made of red bricks and looked like a Victorian house crossed with a church. There was a huge clock in the middle of the building, its face shinning bright for all to see. The windows were open, and you could see the curtains swaying in the breeze. To the right, you could see the little kids playing in the sand, having fun before the day began.
“Karen! There you are! I’ve been looking all over for you!” A girl with straight blond hair ran up to me, completely out of breath.
“Hey! Sarah! What’s. ..”
“No time to talk. Look, Brian’s completely redid the order for tonight,” she said, handing me a sheet of paper.
“What for? The way we had it was perfect.”
“I don’t know. Apparently to make room for the new song.”
“But I thought we weren’t going to do that one.”
“He says it’ll be a big hit if we use it as our closing,” she said, pointing to the paper.
“Well, I guess he has a point. OK. Thanks, Sarah!”
“No prob. See ya first hour!” She said as she gave me a wink and ran away.
“Who was that?” Pete asked.
“Oh, sorry. That’s my best friend, Sarah. We’ve know each other since kindergarten.”
“What was she talking about? The new one? What’s that?”
“You’ll see tonight,” I said as I winked at him. “Come on, let’s go.”
I showed Pete around the school, at least the important parts, and showed him to the office.
“You’ll need to check in here.” I said.
“Thanks for your help,” he said. “Can I see you later?”
“Yeah, you can see me at the concert. Bye!” I said as I ran to my class.
BEEP!
The bell rang right as I entered the door.
“Well, decided to come to school today, Miss Kaoru?”
“I was showing someone around, sir.”
“Save your charity work for later. Take your seat.”
“Yes, sir.” I said quietly as I look my seat. I looked around at my classmates, each saying hi to me as I walked by and took my seat at the back of the class next to Sarah.
“Gez, what’s his problem?”
“I don’t know.” I whispered something to her that made her laugh out loud.
“Ladies! If you do not wish to join Mr. Pickledesky in the principle’s office I suggest you SHUT UP and PAY ATTENTION!”
“Sorry, sir.” We said quietly as we looked at each other and smiled.
I got out a piece of paper and wrote “Did he really send Drew to the office already?” and handed it to Sarah.
“Yep. He was standing up next to the window, and the teach sent him to the office. I guess he thought he was suicidal or something.” Was the reply. “He’s the one who’s suicidal!”
“He’s crazy.” I wrote back to her as I pretended I was paying attention. I took another look around our classroom and noticed someone sitting in the corner, sort of all be himself. He was writing something and his brown hair was covering his eyes.
“Who’s that?” I asked Sarah.
“Hum….I don’t know. He must be new. I’ve never seen him before.”
“Ladies! I’ve had enough! Miss Kaoru, to the principle’s office! Now!”
“Yes, sir,” I said as I left my seat and headed toward the door. I looked to the guy and saw his eyes were following me. I got a real look at his face and saw it was the guy who ran into me this morning. I turned around fast and walked out of the door as my heart began to beat fast. I stepped out of the doorway, closed the door, and fell against the wall.
Why is my heart beating so fast? I said as I took a deep breath. I headed for the office, not really watching were I was going. I couldn’t get his face out of my head.
BAM!
“Karen, are you alright?”
I looked up and saw that I was lying in Pete’s arms. I jumped up, my face burning red. “What just happened?”
“You ran into me. You really should be more careful. What are you doing anyway?”
I was still lost in my thought and didn’t hear a word he said. “What?”
“I said, what are you doing?” He looked at me with concern in his eyes. “Are you sure you’re ok?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I looked up into his eyes.
“Sure?” He asked again.
“Yeah, I was just going to the principle’s office.”
“Why?”
“My incredibly insane teacher sent me there.”
“Oh. Hey, wait for me at lunch, ok?”
“Um, sure.”
“Ok. See ya later!” he said as he headed out for his class.
“Man, this has been a really weird morning.” I said as I opened the door to the principle’s office. I passed Drew, who was sitting in a chair, starring at the ceiling.
“Hey, Drew!” I said as I passed him. He waved his hand in reply.
I stepped into the room. “Hey, Mrs. Billblock.” I said as I took a seat in the nice comfy chair. She was rearranging some books on the mantle. At least, that’s what is looked like she was doing.
“Back again, Miss Kaoru? It’s only been two days. What did you do this time?”
“Absolutely nothing.”
“I’m sure you did something to piss him off.”
“Well, I was writing a note to Sarah….”
“That’s nothing bad. What did you do before that?”
I relayed the events of the morning, excluding my dream.
“So, you met Pete, did you?
“Yeah, he seems like a really nice person.” I said going a little red.
She turned around violently, slammed her hands on her desk and said, “You must stay away from him!” Her eyes had gone beady and she looked incredibly serious.
“But…why?”
“Stay away from him!”
“But…I don’t…”
“Huh…what was I just saying…oh yes. You may go back to your class now, Karen.”
“But…you just…”
“You are dismissed.”
“Yes, ma’am.” I said as I walked slowly back to the class. What had gotten into her? I knew her very well, and she had almost been a second mother to me. I’ve never seen her act like that before. It was almost as if she was afraid, but of what??
I headed back to class, and entered, avoiding the gaze of the boy.
“Well, what happened?” Sarah asked as I sat down.
“I’ll tell ya later.”
“But, what?”
“Don’t talk to me right now!” I said strongly.
“O.K.” She said quietly as she turned to her work.
I sat there thinking, replaying the events in my head. Why was she so nervous? What had Pete done??? If he had done anything at all.
The boy was looking at me again. I looked the other way, but I could feel his gaze on me. I just wanted the day to be over. I put my head in my hands. Nothing was going right. Everything seemed distorted. I just wanted to go home.
BEEP!
The bell rang to dismiss the class. I headed out the door with Sarah.
“Ya feel like talking now?” She asked sarcastically.
“I’m sorry about earlier…it’s just that,” I told her everything that happened.
“Wow, I can’t imagine why she’d be scared of Pete. But I would listen to her, I mean, she’s never steered you wrong before.”
“I know, but…”
“You want to see him again, don’t you?” she asked slyly.
“Yeah,” I said going red again.
“Well, I’ll just have to go with you. You know, to make sure you don’t get hurt.” She said as she punched me playfully and gave me a wink. “Come on, we got six more hours to go!” Comments (2) |

I'm In heaven....
Okay, this is my last post before I leave on my trip. Yay! Colorado here I come. Above is the either part of full first chapter of my story. (I haven't decided which to post yet). I wrote it in first person, but I think I might go back later when I'm finally done and change it to third person omnicient. I think you could get more out of it that way. Anyways, I hope you like it.
I never did fall asleep the other night, I was still awake when my parents woke up. It was my turn to watch the sunrise, i guess. I just wasn't tired.
I tried to change the colors a little bit. The new theme is D. N. Angel. An awesome show, and manga. I bought the 2nd book yesterday, but I'm waiting to read it on the train. I'm having a hard time not picking it up though. ^^ I found all of the D. N. Angel soundtracks, and got them all. They are great!
Well, sorry this is so short, but I need to do some last minute packing, plus still setting up for garage sale. I hope everyone has a great week, and an awesome weekend!
Yeah! I finally did it! I finally fixed my computer, and here's the thing. I did it all myself! I got tired of waiting, so I just trashed my computer, and reinstalled windows. It took about 5 hours to get all these programs back loaded on here, but I think it was worth it. My computer doesn't crash anymore! The internet is a tad slower, but I can deal with that. I think it's just cuz there is so much traffic, because danny is on it as well. Yeah, so I tried to get the AOL IM again, and it wouldn't let me. So you'll have to use MSN if you want to talk to me, until I can figure out how to get it back.
I think I'm going to take a break from downloading so much for a while. That way it gives my computer some time to recoperate, plus give me more time to work on other stuff. And...I don't know of any other new shows that are out that are good. So unless you've watched one I haven't and want to recommend one, I think i'd let it be.
We've been getting ready for this garage sale all weekend. I had to help dad clean the garage. That took most of the day. We where rearranging stuff, and that was no fun. We had to use the car jack to move this one bench, and then dad had to saw off a small part so it would fit. I have to mark mom's stuff next. That's going to be a real pain.
On a happier note, I got my checks today! Yay! and I got another late graudation card with more money. I think i'm going to spend the $10 i got in buying the new D.N. Angel manga that comes out tomarrow. I'm probably going to go to Old Navy to use my gift card to get some more clothes for my trip, so I'll be in the area anyway. Not to mention I got a another savings bond in the mail today, let's just say...I was VERY surprised by how much it was...
Now mom is yelling at me to get my thank you cards written. "You can't go on your trip unless you write those!" she yells. *sighs* I have no idea what to put. Putting "thank you for your support" sounds kinda corny to me. Any ideas? Comments (7) |
