He's self-centered, haughty, and not entirely sane, but he is a human with calm powers of judgement and lots of charisma. Sanzo is in search of the Saiten Scripture, which was stolen when his master was killed. His weapons are a banishing gun, the Maten Scripture, and a paper fan to whack his colleagues with.
