Ya know!? -_- Oh & last night my friend Pat called me up & he's like: "Don't you feel safe when you go to sleep knowning that I'm watching you?" of course after he said that on the phone he hung up & I had to call him back to make sure it wasn't a real call... and then he's like you caught me! lol it was fun on a bun. n_n lol Well I'm off to play around with fire & cross the roads with out lookin both ways! ttfn! Oh & here's chapter one of my 'novel in progress' Stray (remember this is a sloppy copy. Just tell me what you think & I'll try to adjust it more to your liking):

Chapter 1
Stray was only five years old when her mother passed away in the small hut they called home. Stray had no father that she could remember & only her mother. So when she passed away, Stray was left alone to fend for herslef for the first time. She had no guidence in life whatsoever, except the last words her mother whispered to her before she had been taken away to the other side. Her mother said to her," Find home." And with that little guidence, Stray searched her whole life for home.
After Stray's mother passed away, Stray ran away from the town in search for her Aunt Leiah. After several cold winter nights of wandering in the mountains, Stray found the little cottage that belonged to her Aunt. And there is where she was raised. Since Stray's mother never named her, the Aunt decided to name her Stray, because it was the perfect name, for the young girl came to her as a lost stray.
Aunt Leiah hated Stray. She never aknowledged her in anyway. She put Stray to work doing her chores & cooking the meals. Stray was excellent at cleaning, sewing, cooking, and anything else a house wife would ever need to know. But the food Stray cooked, she rarely ever got one bite, for Aunt Leiah, Unlce Bart and her cousin Julian ate every last crumb, leaving her to eat tiny pieces of stale cheese or else starve. Stray hated cheese, but she hated starving to death more, so of course she ate the cheese. And a couple times it crossed her mind to just steal a few nibbles in here and there while she prepares the food, but after a few tries, Aunt Leiah caught on to her & started to watch her every move.
Eight years Stray had to live in these conditions until she was 14. When she reached the age of fourteen, Stray was considered an adult & was kicked out of her aunt & uncle's home and left thus again to fend for herself.
Now at the age of eighteen, Stray didn't know about life that much, for ever since she lived up in the mountains, she hasn't come down into the towns to see what life bustled around from early at dawn til late dusk.
Stray had become very thin & frail from not eating enough. Her hair was messy & each strand of brunette colored hair had a different length than the other. And her eyes were a dark brown - almost black. Stray had scars under her eyes in the shape of streaming tears. She was pretty tall for her age- or at least that's what she thought.
So on her first day of freedom, and with $125 coins (about $400 US), she wandered into the town. She looked in all of the shoppes, but the ones that caught her eye the most were the tayler shoppes. She admired all of the beautiful sequinned gowns in the windows, and the stunning dresses colored of dark violets, maroons, greens & ambers. She gazed at them all so longingly for as long as she could until a middle aged man with blonde hair and a large body structure noticed her standing outside in the snow dressed in rags & no shoes.
The man hurried outside to Stray's side.
"Ma'am, may I help you? You look awfully cold in those clothes you have. And no shoes to make it even worse! You could catch the flu out here in the cold! Why don't you come inside?" The man asked.
Stray seemed surprised, for not once in her life has anyone besides her mother ever showed her a slight bit of kindness. Stray's heart was moved by the man's caring words and looked up to his head that towered high above her's and spoke in the sweetest voice for miles around.
"Why thank you, kind sir, but I must decline your invitation, for I must be on my way to the local Inn." Stray answered.
"Why the Inn? No one ever goes there anymore. Heck, no one ever comes to this town!" The man bursted out with a laugh.
"I have to go there so I can spend the night. And in the morning move on to the next town."
"Well I can tell you something right here & now. If you're planning on going to Owensburgh Town on foot before dusk tomorrow, you ain't gonna' get there in time!"
"Why not? I walk fast."
"Walking fast or even runnin' won't help ya'. You have to be on horse back to get there before night fall. On foot you'd probably get there around nine o'clock at night. But you wouldn't be able to make it by then, cause the sun'll be down by then & you'd have freezed your little butt off!"
"Then what do you suggest I do? I can't afford to purchase- or even rent- a horse."
"I'll tell you what. How bout you come to my house, have a good meal with the family, spend the night & in the morning I'll ride you off to the next town. Sound good? Plus it's all free."
"I couldn't possibly. I don't want ot bother in with your job & all."
"Oh, you wouldn't be botherin' me! I don't work that much anymore. Just sew ion buttons every once an' awhile. It's my son that does most the work. he got the shop now!" He chuckled.
"But I don't even know your name, kind sir."
"The name's Danny."
"Danny? That's a nice name."
"What's your's, little lady?"
"Stray."
"Stray? That's a new name. Never heard that one before. It's kindda' cute!" He chuckled.
Stray blushed, from feeling flattered from a male's comment for the first time. Sure maybe Julian had commented on her cooking or hair every once in awhile, but it didn't mean anything. After all, Julian was only her grouchy cousin, with to big of a stomach & to little of a mind.
"So you stayin'?" Danny asked again.
"Sure. Why not? I'm sure it'll be a pleasure to spend sometime with you & your family." Stray sweetly smiled.
So Danny lead Stray to his home, inside the taylor shoppe. When they were inside the shoppe, Stray made remarks of awe. She was stunned by al of the beautiful taylor work that had been done on the gowns & dresses. She spotted one hanging in the corner that was a long dress that was green and had black stripes going up the body. On the turtle neck it had white ruffles to show femininity. And on the sleeves, half way down, were large white puffs. She adored the dress. It was her favorite in the whole store.
As she stood in the corner, with her mouth wide agape, Danny marched over quietly, to see what his guest was up to. I silently sneeked up on her from behind & shouted 'boo!' Stray pounced in the air startled at the sudden shout.
"So watcha' lookin' at?" Danny asked as he tried to help Stray calm down from his childish behavior.
"Nothing." She answered.
"Nuthin'? You gotta' be lookin' at sumthin'!" He bursted out laughing.
"Well, yeah. I love this dress here. It's so beautiful, and elegant." Stray commented.
"Yeah... I made that one for my daughter." Danny said in a low tone as his eyes began to grim.
"Really? It's probably beautiful on her. But why is it down here in the shoppe?" Stray asked.
"Because she's not with us anymore. She had a perfect fit in that dress to."
"Oh. When will she be back?" Stray asked cluelessly.
"What I meant was, she died two years ago."
"Oh. I'm so sorry."
"That's all right. You didn't know about her, so you have nuthin' t' be sorry about." He smiled a little.
"How did she die?" Stray asked.
"Well, you wanna' sit down? It's a long story. And also you look kindda' tired so lemme' get you a chair."
Danny bustled his way past all of the dresses sticking out by the doorway to the kitchen. When he came back through the doorway, he brought with him a tiny chair for Stray to sit in. He ploped the chair down in front of his desk in the front of the shoppe & told Stray to come have a seat. Stray walked over & sat down, crossing her legs like a little lady (though it didn't help much, for she still looked like a rat in those rags).
"Well, it happened about two years ago. It was kindda' a day like today. Nice n' cold outside with just the right amount of sunshine. We were ice skating that day," Danny said tilting his chair back on it's back legs & putting his feet up on his desk," and we were skating down at the ole' Travers Lake. She was skating with her friends an' all, while me & my wife sat on the bench we brought."
"What was your daughter's name?" Stray interupted.
"It was Fianna." He replied.
"How pretty."
"Yeah. That's what my daughter was."
"I'm sure. Please continue?"
"Right. So they were skating, and all of the sudden, the ice split & Fianna plunged into the ice cold lake. I tried to save her but she was to far down & stuck to sumthin' that I still have no clue what it was t' this day. Of course all of her friends were safe, but not my Fianna. She was dead. She drowned in that freezin' cold lake." He started to cry a little, but quickly whiped his tears away.
"I'm so sorry. That's so tragic. I think I heard my cousin speak of a firl named Fianna once." Stray said.
"Whose your cusin'?" Danny asked.
"His name's Juliann Keen. He lives up in the mountains in a tiny cottage, but often he comes down here to spend time with his friends."
"Keen? I know that fat lil' bastard!" Danny shot up.
"What? What do you know about him?" Stary asked.
"He's the one that left Fianna out in the lake! He was there the day Fianna died. He was Fianna's skating partner. He had the chance to pull her out of the water quickly before it got harder, but he just let go of her hand & ran off." He cried.
"That sounds like him. I'm so sorry I couldn't have helped. I know thta Julian can be so stupid and lame some times, but trust me he has a good heart somewhere."
"I know. That was rude of me to say. It wasn't his fault. It was just her time to be with God." Danny said.
Danny stood up from his chair & pushed it in & walked over to the stair well. He turned & spoke once more.
"Wife's gonna' be home soon, so dinner'll be ready. And my sons Leo & Tom are gonna be home from their game, too. So make yourself at home." Danny said.
"Thank you, sir."Stray said as she watched Danny walk up the large set of stairs
