With the evil cute bunny I drew for my coworker I talked about in my last post, some people said they’d worry about offending her or others I worked with…well, you people don’t know the kind of people I work with. They tend to be very crude at times that even *I* blush and my mouth will drop open at the things said so yeah, this bunny would certainly not offend anyone I work with. Trust me, I know how these people are…and they’re all older adults! These are your parents! Working at this casino and working at other jobs has taught me that adults act like children when they’re not around their own kids.XD
Do you guys know what Dollfies are? They’re those dolls that basically look like anime characters…but these dolls are EXTREMELY expensive (about $500) but it depends on how much you customize it since some are pre-done while others you buy the parts for. Well, I’ve always wanted a dollfie and I wanted to make one up to look like my OC Elf, Estel but Elf dollfies are pretty hard to find to begin with plus, finding a male dollfie is a little tougher so yeah, finding a male/elf dollfie is a butt. But then, I saw this elf dollfie that doesn’t look like Estel but I just looked at it and though, Wow, this is awesome, this is perfect, this is….$1,500?!?!?! Yes, I’m serious, $1,500 for it! Gah, it may be awesome, but it ain’t *that* awesome. This is what it looks like:
Amusing Quote of the Day:
Sometimes when you get dressed in the morning, you’re really making a decision about your behavior for the day. Like if you put on flip-flops, you’re saying, “I hope I don’t get chased today.”

I can’t stand Sunday drivers…even though it’s not Sunday but the term comes from people who drive in their cars but they have nowhere to go but they drive to just look around and because of that they usually drive obnoxiously slow. Gah, you know, it’s fine if you want to look at the pretty scenery and such but some of us have jobs we need to get to so move your butt! As you probably guessed, I got stuck behind a slow-poke on my way to work this morning…and big surprise…he was driving a Buick.
A couple weeks ago at the end of my shift, I drew a little kitty picture that had a note on it that said, “Good morning, Jyl!” and I left it for the banker who was going to be coming in the following morning. It was just a quick little drawing but Jyl loved it and hung it up on the wall in the bank. Well, since then, my other fellow banker named Sue, has been constantly asking when I’m going to draw her a picture and she specified she wanted a rabbit. Well, just about every time I’ve seen her it’s been, “Where’s my drawing? Where’s my drawing?” so finally today, I knew she was coming in after me so I drew her a cute little bunny rabbit…except this cute little bunny is flashing it’s middle finger and I wrote along the side of the drawing: “Here’s your stinkin’ bunny, Sue. So smile DAMMIT!” So, she comes in and sees this drawing and she literally, just collapsed in laughter. And she has a contagious Betty Rubble laugh so it made me crack up and she was crying she was laughing so hard so I was crying from laughing so hard and so our boss, Tom comes in asking what was so funny and Sue just points and the drawing and then he bursts out laughing as well so yeah…lots of laughs and my boss said to never take that drawing down.XD
Amusing Quote of the Day:
“I heard this lady say, “I love kids.” That’s nice…it’s kinda weird though. It’s like saying, ’I like people but only for a little while.’

I uploaded the full-version of my manga cover. You guys don’t have to look at it if you don’t want since most of you were ever-so nice in seeing my manga but many mentioned they wished they could fave my manga but that feature isn’t available with the fan mangas so this image is not only the “real” version without having the sides cut off and without the text but it also has a link to my manga on it. So yeah, if you wish to see the full-version then please do but if you don’t want to then that’s fine too^_^:
So, after work today I went shopping because I’m working 7 days in a row and dammit! I deserve to go shopping! *pounds desk* I went to Wal-Mart because they were having a sale on Simpson Season DVD’s for $20 so I picked one up for my friend, Phil’s b-day and when I went to the register, it was an older gentleman and when he started scanning my goods, he started singing The Simpsons theme. Lol! I don’t know why but it really amused me. I then went to Kohl’s and bought some ever-so cute tops and skirts. Aye, I LOVE wearing skirts. I never wear shorts…my legs are obnoxiously long so shorts look bazaar on me. I then went to Waldenbooks because I had earned a “shopping spree” day (which is just getting 10% off everything I buy) so I bought some mangas and some regular books too. YAY books! I then went to Hot Topic and got deafened by the music. I bought some earrings for my upper ear piercing.
Then I was bad…I went to Cinnabons. *drool* I bought a new drink of theirs called a “Cinnabon Cinnamon Coffeeiatta” and oh man…orgasmic. It was so yummy.
Thought of the Day:
I think the worst time to have a heart attack would be during a game of charades…especially if your team mates were bad guessers.

Wow, I’m #2 on Otaku’s most popular members! Thanks to master_hiko for informing me about that since I don’t tend to look at the list. I think it was my manga that did it since it brought a bunch of new people to my site which is dandy since I love meeting all the wonderful variety of people on this site. And I’m still getting PM’s from members asking me to continue my manga with Estel and Leetha, like I said, I do plan on making more. The next one I’m making will show how those 2 met and then how the hay did they manage to get the curse put on them that keep them tied together. I’m excited to start it.^_^
The other night, I went from work to my friend’s house since my boys and I were getting together to get ice cream and then go to the movies. My pal, Gavin got a new car…well, more-so that his grandma gave him her car and when Gavin said that he now drove an old person’s car I just ask, “Oh no, don’t tell me it’s a Buick.” And Gavin just giggles and goes, “Heh….yeah.” So yes, I now call Gavin ‘grandpa’ since he’s driving a Buick and he somehow seems to indeed drive a lot slower in this car. Something about the Buick…must put a curse on whoever gets behind the wheel to drive obnoxiously slow.
But my boys and I saw the movie, Hot Fuzz and if some of you remember, that’s the movie that *I* had wanted to see a couple weeks ago but my boys dragged me to the movie, Grindhouse instead. Bleh. For those who don’t know, Hot Fuzz was made by the same creators of Shawn of the Dead and it has the same actors in it and everything. Hot Fuzz was amazing and hilarious and everyone should go see it!! *points finger at all of you*
Fact of the Day:
Every fight is a food fight when you’re a cannibal.

Wow, thanks for the wonderful comment on my manga!!! *hugs and tackle glomps people* I got such a positive response for it and it was featured as well so that’s pretty cool. I got quite a few total strangers who have commented as well which was really nice…and those are the people who have begged me to draw more stories involving my OC’s Estel and Leetha. Don’t worry, I do plan on making more.^_^ And if you haven’t seen it yet, please do, it’s only 6 pages and there’s very little dialogue and mostly pictures and as we all know, pictures are much quicker to breeze through.XP
So yeah, I’m glad I worked my butt off to get that cover done Wednesday so I could get it uploaded and all since my next day off from work isn’t until next Wednesday. Boo! Hiss! I kinda feel like I’m being trampled on since I’m the youngest banker so therefore, I must have no life and since I’m nice, I wont complain about it so it’s okay to screw me over. *kicks invisible boss butt* Okay, rant is over. I feel better. I bought myself a king size Reeses today but haven't eaten it yet. I know, what's the matter with me?! I'll save it...good things come to those who wait. I put it in the fridge because Reeses taste best cooled.^_^
Quote of the Day comes from an ACTUAL conversation that happened today at work:
A coworker (his name is Jim) pops his head in:
Jim: “Hey, do you have a flashlight in here?”
Me: “No, why?”
Jim: “Well, I’m trying to see a hole so I can screw it.”
Me: *Makes this face* “O_O” *followed by me bursting out laughing*
Jim: *eyes bug out* “Oh my god! That sounded horrible, didn’t it?!”
Me: *wiping tears* “Oh my, yes.”
Hee! Soon after, Jim explained to me that a Simulcast machine had stopped working and he wanted to fix it but man, that cracked me up…especially because he didn’t even realize what he had said at first.XD XD

I finished my manga!! I almost wasn’t going to get it done today either since the cover was the last thing I had to do but man, were events working against me to finish it but I worked my butt off and have the blister between my thumb and forefinger from clutching my colored pencils to prove it. I knew I should get it done since my next day off from work isn’t till next Wednesday.:-(I’d be very happy if people went to look at it since It’s only 6 pages long and there’s very little dialogue, it’s almost all just images and PLEASE, do NOT leave the comment about the manga on this page but on the link to my fan manga because if you do, then that will lead me to believe that a)you didn’t bother to even look at it or b)you are lying and pretending you went and looked at it when you really didn’t. I know how people work.^_~ Just click the linky below to take you to my manga:
And please be sure and read my artitst statement about this story since that will help a lot.^_^ *hugs* and thanks you guys! *passes out brownies*

3:45 in the morning and I just got home from work. I would have had today off but today was my overtime day since my psycho nugget coworker got fired. And for those who asked, no it was not the female Ronald McDonald lady I work with and no, it wasn’t the girl who threw up into the hot dog bin. I didn’t talk about this Oopma Loompa look-alike lady too much since she was on a different shift then me. Wow, female Ronald McDonald, girl throwing up into hot dog bin, Oompa Loompa…I have quite the list of characters I work with, neh?XD
So, the other night I went out on a date with my boys and they made me go see the movie, Grindhouse. It was that double feature movie and one of the movies involve that amputee chick who has a gun for a leg. I didn’t really want to see the movie, I wanted to see Hot Fuzz but the movie wasn’t playing at this theater and my boys wanted to see this one, so I sat through it. The best part about the “double feature” (yes, there were 2 separate movies played in one showing) movie was the fake trailers they had in-between the flicks. Those were entertaining. Both the movies in Grindhouse were definitely guy films. I got pretty tired of seeing incredibly hot flakey girls all throwing themselves over ugly guys…yeah, like that happens in the real world.*rolls eyes*
I’m pretty close to finishing the cover to my manga. I actually just started it Monday with the sketch and starting coloring it Tuesday before I had to go to work. I just have to finish Leetha’s hair and both her and Estel’s clothing and then it’ll be done. It should be done later today and then I’ll probably upload it into the Fan Manga section. My sister is coming up to visit today too but she wont be here till later this evening. It’s been about a year since I’ve seen my sister so it’ll be nice although I wont see her too much since I have to work. Boo.

With my last post, I think people thought that I didn’t want the kitten my mom put a reserve on. Heavens no! Trust me, I ADORE a kitten or cat or dog or anything cute and cuddly in any shape or form so I’m very excited for this kitten! I just wish that my mom had picked up a kitty from a shelter rather then paying big bucks for a purebred. But don’t worry, come July when we can get this kitty, I wont be leaving it alone since if there’s an animal around, I get all moopy schmoopy and will give it attention like no tomorrow. We live in the country too and we have really good luck with animals living long lives…like my kitty Furball, who lives to be 18 and then my pup Freddie, who lived to be 16….and I have 3 goldfishies, named Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, who are almost going to be 8 years old! But yeah, I’m excited to have a pet in the house again.^_^
So, my dad comes up to me today and he gives me this look that instantly triggers the “uh-oh” thought into my brain. Not, uh-oh I’m in trouble, but uh-oh what does he have planned? He then begins by saying that he doesn’t mean to push me into anything nor does he want me to feel pressured and I’m like, what the hell is he trying to say?! Finally, he reveals it….he’s trying to play matchmaker! Lol! Apparently, there’s this young guy in my dad’s scuba diving class(my dad is a scuba instructor) and he’s really nice and handsome and has a good job and….he’s single and this guy’s parents are trying to get him hooked up and my dad told them I was cute and single so we should start talking to each other. I think I’ll give it a shot since the guy(his name is Doug) does sound really nice and my dad wouldn’t try pairing me up with someone he didn’t like so, I may get in touch with him.
I went out the other day with my boys, Gavin, Tyler, and Phil and had a fun time. I’ll talk about it more tomorrow since I don’t want this post going on too long. A highlight though was walking down the street to Gavin’s house and Gavin barked like an old airy dog the entire distance for no apparent reason except that it was 2am and well…things are just funnier at 2am, especially if it means waking people up.XD

In my last post people kept saying, “YOU should get a cat from a shelter because it would make YOU feel better.” I don’t think people realize…my mom wants a purebred Ragdoll cat and that means, she’s going to get a purebred Ragdoll cat. I have no say in it. Trust me, I tried to get her to pick up a kitty that needed a home but nope, she wants a Ragdoll and she already has contacted a breeder and put a reserve on a kitten. We can’t get the kitten till July though because they were just born and you have to wait at least 6 weeks. So yeah, rather then saving a kitty from a shelter, my mom has dropped $600 on this specialty kitty. Oh well, when I do find a house I plan on going to the shelter to get my own cats who need a loving home.
So, one of my fellow bankers was fired. It doesn’t surprise me though since she was totally nutters and it was only a matter of time before she crossed the line. She was funny to look at though because she was really short and chubby and she wore loads of make-up because she thought she was hot and thought all the surveillance and security had a crush on her so she reminded me of an Oompa Loompa with gray hair
But because the Oopma Loompa was fired, and since I’m the only banker who was trained in both the banks(there’s 2 banks in the casino), I have to pull overtime to help cover her shift until they hire someone else. I don’t mind overtime but poo! I want to finish the cover to my manga!! I’m cursed when it comes to the times I get overtime since it always seems to happen when I’m working on a project.
And for all those who couldn’t believe how fast I got my manga drawn, it’s only 6 pages long so don’t be too impressed.^_~ My manga is going to follow the same characters but it’s going to be made up of a series of short stories and perhaps in time all those stories will come together and the “in-between things” will be added so it becomes one long story. I’ll shut-up now.

So Sanjaya finally got kicked off American Idol. I couldn’t help but root for the little guy…he was such a trooper. And when they were showing the recaps of his time on American Idol, they showed him watching it and he was crying and then I got all sniffly too. I tend to get emotional when a guy is crying. If it’s a girl, I’m like quit crying you baby but when it’s a guy, oh man, toss me the tissues.^^;
All the pages to my manga are done! *throws confetti* But don’t go looking for it yet in my fan manga gallery!! I still have to do the cover page and that alone will probably take me another week since I’m back to work tomorrow…er, today since it’s going to be a hard-core colored piece. Gotta make it eye-catching since I’m a firm believer in that covers are everything since obviously, when a person is looking at books or mangas the first thing they see is the cover and one wants the eye to be drawn to it.
So, my mom is looking into buying a Ragdoll cat. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s a pure bred cat and yes, it is real.^_~ Ragdolls have that name because they’re extremely loving cats and when you pick them up, they tend to just flop into your arms. They’re very expensive though but she’s convinced she wants a pure bred cat. I mean, I still want the cat but can’t quite figure out her reasoning to buying an expensive cat when we could just go to an animal shelter and get one cheap or free.
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*The Warners are lost in the woods*
Wakko: *looking at a map* “According to this, I’d say, we’ve lost our way…”
Yakko: *grabs it and looks at it* “This isn’t a map. It’s a campaign flyer for the Republican party!”
Wakko: “I know! That’s why I said we’ve lost our way…as a country, I mean.”
Yakko: *smacks forehead*
