The other night, a couple girls that I work with decided that we’d get some Subway to eat for dinner. We all got a foot long sub but none of us could eat more then half of it but one girl named Tonya, took a couple bites out of the other half and we put the rest into the fridge. Well, at the end of the night, we went to get our subs and all of ours was there…except for Tonya’s. Someone had taken it! And that person decided to refuse all of our subs and take the one sub that had some bites taken out of it? What the? Tonya was pissed but then laughed and said, “Well, if they’re desperate enough to eat a sub with bites taken out of it then hey, they can obviously use that sub more then me.” Which is true but man, why would you want to take somebody’s random sub?
I watched American Idol and I can’t help but feel bad for Sanjaya. He’s been dealing with so much crap lately from the media but you can tell he’s trying. I don’t think he should have gotten this far into the contest but I give him props for continuing to try his best. I respect people like that.
I went for another walk around our block today. Many said that 2 ½ miles seemed way too far…meh, it’s not too bad…it’s so quiet and peaceful so it’s quite the stress reliever. And for those who said that the low 60’s wasn’t that warm…hey, when you’ve just lived through months of temperatures in the single digits to low-teens, 60 degree weather feels A-ma-ZING! Anyway, I walked past a pond and their was a Canadian Goose that didn’t seem to pleased with my presence. It started doing its obnoxiously loud honking as I was walking by so I stopped to look at it and it kept honking at me and swimming around in circles. I continued on my way and it kept on honking at me but it progressively started quieting down till it’s honking was nothing more then a little grumble in it’s throat. It kinda amused me because I could imagine it’s honking in English would be something like, “HEY! HEY! HEY!....Hey….Hey….heeeeeeey….yeah, that’s right, keep on walking. Psh!” Yeah, that was the goose translated into English, says I.^^;

Glad you guys enjoyed my story about my night out with my friend Wallan. Yes, he is quite the character and Wallan’s name is pronounced, ‘Way-len’ for all those who thought he had an interesting name…I guess the interesting name matches his interesting personality.XD
It was in the low 60’s today and sunny and lovely. I went for a walk around the block…and since we live in the middle of nowhere, our “block” is 2 ½ miles long so I went for a pretty long walk. I was letting my dad know I was going for a walk and he asked to come along too…which surprised me since he usually doesn’t but it was nice having the company since I used to go on walks with my old pup, Freddie.
I’ve got music again on my site in case some of you noticed. The music is from the 300 soundtrack. I LOVED the music from that movie. I can see why some people heard that some didn’t like that movie. It was extremely violent but I had a lot of respect for the way that movie was filmed. It was just so beautiful and unique and I enjoy movies that break out of the norm and since it was based on a graphic novel, I think they did a great adaptation of bringing it to life.
I had downloaded the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and watched it and it was a lot better then I thought it would be. I wasn’t impressed from when I saw the trailers and commercials when it came to the animation and style of the turtles…they look like the Geico gecko! I still didn’t like the way the characters were done in this flick but the animation was overall good and scenery was nicely done. What can I say, I still prefer the original ninja turtles movies when it was puppets and guys in costumes. Those were totally tubular and the guy who voiced Yakko Warner in Animaniacs was the voice of Raphael in the original cartoon. I found that pretty funny.^_^

My boys and I went and saw the movie 300 Friday night. Fan-diddly-tastic movie! I had wanted to see this movie but wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. The way it was filmed was just so cool! And I decided that the movie should have been renamed…the movie should have been called, Abs. Yeah, lots of hotly buffed male bodies for me to feast my eyes on.^_^
My pal, Wallan was home visiting from Colorado and that was the main reason why Tyler, Gavin, Phil, and I had gone out on Friday. Wallan is one of the most interesting people you could ever meet…there’s really no way to describe him but he has such a personality and I’m trying to think of an anime character to compare him too but can’t even think of one that is quite as colorful as him.XD Right after we saw the movie, we decided we were going to go to Denny’s to eat and as we’re walking out of the theater, Wallan just picks up the voice of the king in 300 and goes, “My fellow Spartans! Tonight, we join ourselves as one! And we FEAST!! AT DENNY’S!!!” And he goes running off and all these random people who just got out of the movie with us are cracking up and I’m dying in laughter because it was just so out of the blue.
And then we headed to Wal-Mart because it was 2 am and there was nowhere else to go and we walked past a little section in the store where they had buttons you push to sample music from CD’s and most of them are those Kids Bop CD’s in which they take popular songs but kids and teeny boppers sing them, and Wallan starts playing the songs and club dancing right there in the middle of the aisle to these songs. The look on people’s faces as they walked by was great because Wallan was so into it and these customers were just like, WTF?
And then Wallan got us kicked out of Wal-Mart because Gavin, Tyler, and Wallan were playing with those swimming pool fun noodles…nothing bad, they were just holding them like spears and bouncing them off the ground like they did in 300 and an employee told them to knock it off in which Wallan said she didn’t have to be a dick about it and then the lady went on about how Wallan was harassing her and she was going to call the cops and Wallan was like, “What are the cops going to do? I haven’t touched you nor have I done anything aggressive” so yeah, Phil and I had been a couple aisles over but could hear it happening so I dragged Wallan out of the store before he could cause too much of a scene because Wallan is the kind that is an awesome fighter because he is intelligent in the points he makes and majority of the population is dumb so they don’t handle it well so yeah…we figured it was best to stop it before it got worse. Lol! But Wallan has left to go back to Colorado but he sure gave us a night to remember and we’ll miss him.^^

Some people said that I should get a dog rather then a cat when I move into my new house. Well, I would love to have both but realistically, dogs are a lot more maintenance and I work 10 hour days, 4 days a week so that’s a lot of time the dog would be by themselves which just wouldn’t be right. Cats are a lot more self-suffiecient and are able to be by themselves for longer periods of time. Oh, and Chris, I do plan on becoming the crazy cat lady of the neighborhood. I already decided that a long time ago when I realized I like cats better then children.^^’’
So yeah, today, I got to see the inside of the house I’ve been looking into. The outside of the house looks great and it’s all been re-done but the inside will need some work if I decide to get it. But it’s all cosmetic stuff like fresh paint and new carpeting as opposed to water damage or mold or something but we’ll see, I’m still looking but this one is in such a great neighborhood and it’s not far from this really awesome cemetery that has an Indian princess buried on the top of the hill and it overlooks the town and the river and the hills and it’s just plain lovely. I told my friends that I’d be screwed if a Night of the Living Dead scenario happened though and zombies attacked.XD
Oh yeah, I was going to ask you guys if you used Internet Explorer or FireFox as your internet browser? I’ve always used Internet Explorer but recently got FireFox to try it out and it’s pretty surprising the difference it made. I don’t really like how FireFox make the text look on sites and it tends to not center thing when I know they should be centered. However, when it comes to browsing Otaku sites, I’ll probably stick with FireFox because the new version of Internet Explorer tends to chop some people’s posts in half if their text shows up on the far left. So yeah, I was just curious what other people used.

I got my new bookcase all put together…I did it all by me one-sy! Well…not that hard considering it was a “no tools required” bookcase to construct but still! It looks nice and my Yuki statue sits proudly on top of it.XD My other 2 bookcases can start easing their burdens now since new things will go into this bookcase.
So today, I met up with a lady who works for a real estate agency to go over my finances to see if I qualify for a loan for a house and if I do, how much will they loan me. Well, it turns out that my credit scores are amazing for someone my age…a really good credit score is around 720 and I’m at around 760 so wohoo!! It’s a good thing to pay bills on time ALL the time. So she told me that it wont be a problem to get a loan for the house I’ve been wanting. I’m very excited but there’s still some other houses I’m going to look at before I make any decisions. One of the first things I want to get when I do move into my own house is a kitty cat! I miss not having a pet in the house and a house isn’t a home till a pet is involved.^_^
I went out and got McDonalds today…man, I haven’t had fast food in months but I was hungry and it was conveniently located right there next to the real estate so I got a chicken BLT. It was surprisingly good but man, was I stuffed after that!
Oh, and I’ve played my new Diddy Kong Racing for my DS Lite and I love it! The levels are just like how they were in the N64 but they have extra features for the DS. One part that I think is really cool is when you’re racing in the hovercraft, right before they start the race, so you can have an extra boost to push ahead of other people, is you blow onto the pad to make it spin faster! How cool is that?! I love it and I picked the character that I used to ALWAYS be on the N64…Timber the Tiger. He was always my character and my friend was always Pipsy the Mouse.^_^

Glad you guys like the new theme! Many have never seen Kyou Kara Maou but that’s okay, many people hadn’t seen Ouran High School Host Club either before I made a theme of it and gushed about it. That’s how good animes are spread! And I spotted the Wolfram fans pretty quick. Hee…he’s my fave too and I like how he’s right there on the far-left looking to the right as if he’s reading my post going, “Wtf is she talking about?”^_^
In my last post many commented on how they don’t get rabbits diving in front of their cars but deer and squirrels. Well, I get those too…deer more-so then any other creature but rabbits are just the only bozos that spazz back and forth for 3 minutes in front of the car before they decide which direction they want to go in. The only animal I’ve ever run over was a squirrel and I felt terrible about it. I know people think squirrels are evil for some bazaar reason but I think they’re cute and I didn’t like killing one even though it was an accident. Although…I’d rather run over a squirrel or rabbit then a deer because if you hit the small animals, they just go under your car while if you hit a deer, the deer will take out your entire car along with it.
I went shopping today! It was such an amazingly lovely day outside that I wanted an excuse to walk around and so I went to one of our malls that is more-so a plaza so you walk around outside to get from store-to-store. I went into Circuit City and bought Diddy Kong Racing for my DS Lite. I’ve been wanting this game because back-in-the-day, the N64 was the first game console my parents bought for me (we’d already had other game systems like the original Nintendo and Sega Genesis and stuff but this was my very OWN console just for me and not to share with my sibs^_^) and that was the game they got with it and my best friend would sleepover at my house and we’d play that game for hours on end so I look forward to playing it now.^^ Our local Target store is getting all re-modeled and it looks pretty snazzy and I went in there and bought another bookcase. Yeah, I now own 3 bookcases. My other 2 were getting a little over-stuffed with all my books, mangas, and art supplies so this 3rd one is juuuuuust right.
Heehee! I love this picture:

Theme change! And big shocker…it’s Kyou Kara Maou.^_^ I was juggling between two anime themes I wanted to do, this being one of them and I actually wasn’t going to do this one but then I’m like, ‘Ah hell, why not?!’ So, I caved and did this one. Now, the ladies can enjoy the bishies and the guys…erm…well, enjoy the…birds?
Anywho, it’s 3:30 am and I just got home from work and wanted to update for the theme change. Work went fine, on the way home though I saw a record number of bunny rabbits that had a death wish. I swear, rabbits must be one of the dumbest animals when it comes to running away from a threat…and by “running away” I mean, dodging in front of my car and going back and forth, back and forth, rather then just run back to where it originally was, which wasn’t even in eye-shot and safe. I dunno, if I had a killer after me, the last thing I’d do was to spring out from a bush I was hiding behind and scramble back and forth in front of them.
And I have the next 3 days off so I’m uberly excited about that and I’m hoping to start my Fan Manga. I probably wont color them or anything but make them sketchy like how you seem them in mangas just so I can pop them out quicker. I doubt I’ll do much with gray tones but we’ll see how pumped I get.^^
Oh yeah, and I’ve been looking into houses lately. Yeah, a house…for me! Scary but I’d rather lease-to-own a house then to throw my money away on an apartment. Living in an apartment in NYC had financially killed me so I’ve been saving loads of money being back home and living upstate so now I’m starting to look into a house! I’m excited and one house I looked at is really nice and cute and it’s in an amazing neighborhood and it’s along the backskirts of town so it’s still in the country which is what I want. I’m not making any decisions yet but we’re just browsing at the moment.^_^

Well, I’m hoping to start my Fan Manga soon. I like how many of you mentioned that you hope I do the manga just to see more drawings of my elf character, Estel.XD lol! Cute, he’s getting a fan club already and no one really knows his personality…yet…but I can’t wait to start drawing it!
Do you guys watch Whose Line is it Anyways? If so, what’s your favorite game they play? I love the sound effects game when Ryan has the microphone and he does the sounds for Colin. Oh, it makes me laugh so hard. Yesterday, they had a Whose Line? Marathon on BBC America and I watched that and then went to bed instead of coming onto Otaku.^^’’
I went to bed early because I was so freakin’ tired and I ended up having such a f-ed-up dream! But it was one of those dreams where you were having it right before you woke up so when you do wake up you have to gather your wits because you think your dream actually happened. Well, to give a brief overview of my dream, I had a dream my mom got pregnant (unlikely since she’s in her 60’s) but when she had the baby it was a boy but…it was a cat! WTF?! But I didn’t even think anything of it and I just thought it totally normal to have a cat as a little brother and I took it to school and everything. Messed up.
And sorry to confuse some of you on my last post, I was saying that the anime, Kyou Kara Maoh was 78 episodes but I haven’t gotten that far yet! Sheesh, I just started it and I do have a life so I don’t spend too much time watching anime. But I’m up to episode 20 or so and I had used bittorrent to download all the episodes in one go so I have them all burned onto DVD. Whee! More piccy’s from it…this anime is bishie heaven…well, almost as much as Ouran High School Host ClubXP:

Well today, I finished my first horse drawing that will be sold in the gift shop of the casino I work at. Well, prints of it anyway…I’m not sure if I’ll be selling the originals or not. And to remind people that my casino also has a horse racing track hence why horse drawings will be sold there.XD I’ll probably do a couple more though before I take them to the head of marketing. Here’s the drawing I finished:
And for those who really want to see a large version of it, you can see it in my Deviant Art account linked in my profile. *points to profile* And it was done in pencil for those who were wondering…except my scanner killed all the lighter gray details I put into it. Bah!
I’m kind of glad though to do these horse drawings because it’s good practice for my manga idea since horses will be in it at some point. And I was also thinking of actually starting to do pieces to go into the Fan Manga section but I was going to do random short stories to show how my characters interact and to also help me practice my style and story-telling and such. It would follow the story I’ve come up with, with my character’s Estel(my elf-dude) and Leetha. Hooray for feeling motivated!
I’m thinking of changing my theme too for the Spring season but can’t choose between a couple animes! BAH! The choices in life!
I think I’m officially addicted to the anime, Kyou Kara Maoh. I can’t stop watching it! Luckily, I have a way to go till the finale since there’s 76 or 78 episodes which is good since lately, it seems animes I’ve been watching have only been 20-some episodes. And I’m sure you guys have noticed how I love posting images from that anime…probably because I just love the illustrations for it! Heehee! Wolfram and Yuuri are so cute together.XD

1:23 am and I just got back from a date out with my boys…but my friend, Cara is home for spring break so there was actually another girl present! Made it easier for when we went out to eat and to figure out who wanted to sit next to who since my boys tend to fight over who gets to sit next to me…I think it’s a guy thing…may make them look gay or something if they sit side-by-side. Lol! We went to Friendly’s for sundaes…mmmm…healthy. I got the Resse’s Pieces Sundae but got chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla. Chocolate totally pwns over vanilla.
We then went to Gavin’s house just because Gavin was telling us about how freaky his basement is in his house and we wanted to see it for ourselves so we went to see it. Gavin has been renting this house for awhile now but I’ve never seen the basement of it and holy crap, it really REALLY is scary. We concluded that the furnace is just the right size to throw a dead body in. But while down there, we had to duck because the ceiling was pretty low and I look over and I see this random dark room and I ask Gavin what’s over there and Gavin answers, “I dunno, I’ve never gone in there yet.” and I ask, “Well, why don’t you go in there now?” in which Gavin replies, “No way! I’ve seen this movie.” Haha! Yeah, that is the beginning of a horror movie killing right there if I ever heard one.XD
Tyler then helped me set up the Wi-Fi settings of my DS Lite and he challenged me to a Mario game that he had on his DS. So, we played it and then he got miffed because I creamed him and it was my first time ever playing the game. Heehee!
