My dial-up wasn’t working last night. Feh! It said some crap about not being able to connect to a remote computer or something of that nature. Oh well, gave me an excuse to go to bed early, I suppose.XD Oh, and I finished another little Fruits Basket chibi character while at work. I said I was doing the whole case and dang nabbit, I shall! This is of Momiji and again, keep in mind this is trying to remember the character’s from memory and working with craptastic materials so don’t expect it to be too grand. You can click the thumby below:
I finally sat down and finished my Descendents of Darkness DVD’s…or Yami no Matsuei, whichever you prefer. I had burned these from Angel months ago but never watched the whole thing which you’d think wouldn’t be too hard since it’s only 13 episodes long. It was a good series though but too short. What cracked me up is in one of the episodes, the main character Tsuzuki, was trying to speak in English and at first I didn’t even realize it was English since I could barely understand what he was trying to say. After rewinding it a couple times, I realized he was saying, “No, no, no money,” since a group of American mob looking dudes had surrounded him. Hee!
Something that made me scratch my head happened the other day. So, I was driving home from work and rounded a sharp corner and I slammed on my brakes because I thought I saw a deer on the side of the road ready to cross…but then I realized, it wasn’t a deer, it was a bunch of campaign signs all lined up. I continued on and the more I thought about it the more I was like, ‘WTF? How did I mistake signs for a deer?’ I mean, seriously, they look nothing alike! I think I’m slowly going bonkers.

I had a fan-diddly-tastic day today. My dad and I put the new hood on my car so it looks all nice and sparkly. I have a forest green Saturn, for all those who asked. I’ve actually had this car since high school and it still runs great! Go Saturns!
I got about 4 tutorials done for the Art of Otaku thing. I’m pretty much going step-by-step in all the little things to make up a drawing from the eyes to even how to do clothing wrinkles. The final tutorials are going to be the more advanced things which is how to color like I do and how to do proper black and white drawings as well.
A couple weeks ago, that fellow anime fan at work loaned me her entire Gravitation manga series *drool* and I loaned her my DNAngel DVD’s. She finished that series already and so I gave her my Fruits Basket DVD’s because, let’s face it, Fruits Basket is just plain phenomenal and everyone should watch it. I’ll have to load her the manga series next, I’m sure.^_^
Oh yeah, you know the Black Cat figures I ordered off of ebay? Well, the auction came with 5 figures and they were all in the shipment and everything but one minor problem…one of the characters came with 2 right arms and no left! *gasp* It’s the figure of Creed too. Feh! I e-mailed the seller and he told me just to take a picture of the faulty figure and they’d send me a new one. It’s nice I don’t have to ship it back since it came from Japan. Ah well, at least the Train figure looks awesome.XD
Quote of the Day comes from The Three Amigos:
Ned: “How’re we supposed to get over that wall? It must be at least 100 feet high!”
Lucky: Well, I guess we’re just going to have to use our brains.”
Ned and Dusty: “……………dammit.”

You know what would have been a kick ass costume for me to wear to work on Halloween if I were allowed to? Uncle Scrooge from Duck Tales! I already chuckled about how I work in a vault and it reminded me of Uncle Scrooge so that would have been a steller costume. Get the top hat, cane and talk with a Scottish accent…oh man, classic.
One of the best Halloween costumes I ever wore though was a couple years ago when I was going to college in NYC and I dressed as Marge Simpson. I think I told you guys about that waaaay long ago but yeah, I made the green dress, got a super tall blue beehive wig, spray painted black heels to be red, got a big red pearl necklace, painted my whole upper body in yellow paint, wore yellow stockings, and I carried around a Maggie doll. It was such an awesome costume and I went to the parade with a bunch of buddies and I was just MOBBED. Pictures left and right, people screaming, “MARGE!!!!” and a cop even asked me to marry him. Lol! That was the best Halloween ever.
I’m so excited…my dad bought me a new hood for my car! Heh, I bet you guys are like, WTF? But yes, I have a really nice looking car but just the hood was starting to look old and worn. My dad went to this place that has a yard full of un-wanted cars and you can pull needed parts out of them and then you pay a really small fee for whatever you take. So yeah, my dad found the same car I had there in the same color so he bought me the new hood and he and I are going to be putting that on tomorrow. Yeehaw!
Plus, the Black Cat figures I bought off ebay came in the mail today. Oh man, it’s like Christmas!XD

Thanks to all those who looked and commented on my new drawing! Makes me giddy to hear that people have dubbed this my best piece yet and have commented on some of the key things I focused on with this drawing which was, composition, poses, and expressions. It was tough to come up with those for 7 characters who are pretending to be other characters but trying to keep it looking like the original characters without people getting confused if they are actually the other characters…O_O, lol! Can I confuse myself and everyone else any more with that description? Anyway, if you haven’t seen it yet, you can click the thumbnail below. Thanks!
Anywho, on Halloween, my pals, Tyler, Phil, and I drove up to my other friend, Gavin’s, house to hang out. We were going to go to some bars but then decided not to since we’d rather just hang out with each other. So we had some drinks and watched Mystery Science Theater 3000 which is the best movie to watch with others EVER! It was dandy fun.
I had off from work yesterday and just relaxed and read and pet the neighbor’s cat and just...relaxed. Oh, and my Robin Hood: Men in Tights DVD I got off ebay came too and I watched that and giggled and laughed and giggled some more. I still love the part where Robin and Little John or fighting over that little bridge with those long sticks but they keep breaking them more and more until their sticks are basically as small as a twig yet they still keep fighting with them.XD And Cary Elwes who plays Robin Hood is such a babe. For those who don’t know Cary Elwes, he was the guy who was the character, Westley in The Princess Bride. And if you haven’t seen that movie…then for shame!
Oh, and I'm sorry I didn't get to everyone's sites who commented on mine! I promise to get to it later. My dial-up is running exeptionally slow and I need to get up early tomorrow.>_<

Guess what I finally finished? Yep, the Halloween art contest drawing! And right before the due date too. Lol! I uploaded it yesterday evening and the deadline is today. Anywho, so to recap, the rules are you have to draw a famous anime character dressed as another famous anime character so what did I draw? The Ouran High School Host Club as Inuyasha characters! You can just click the thumbnail below to go straight to the full-sizer and I recommend clicking the “High Resolution” link once you’re there because the reds got really distorted in the shrunken image:
I hope you guys will take a look at it because it took me literally, days to do. Well, weeks technically. Now, I get to start on the tutorials for the upcoming new Art of Otaku. Man, it never ends.
OH! And I forgot, I’ve reached over 21,000 hits so THANK YOU! I feel special.
Are you guys doing anything special for Halloween? I’m getting together with some friends after work. I’m anxious to go into work to see the costumes that my fellow associates will be wearing. I would dress up but I’m not allowed to since I’m the banker and am limited to what I can wear. Phooey.
Quote of the Day:
*A cop pulls over a driver and walks up to the man*
Cop: *looks at the driver* “Have you been drinking tonight because your eyes look a little red?”
Driver: *looks at cop* “Have you been eating doughnuts tonight because your eyes look a little glazed?”
Ha! Get it?!XD

I tried to visit your guy’s sites last night but they weren’t loading for me. I assume others were having similar problems?
My Halloween contest drawing isn’t done yet. *ducks flying mangas* Sorry! I know some of you have been popping in every day just waiting for it (and I appreciate that *smiles*) but it will be done today and I should have a link to it by Tuesday’s post. All the characters are done and I just need to finish the background. I’ve been so flippin’ tired after work lately and I don’t like working on art crap when I’m tired because then I make dum dum mistakes.
I got bit by a spider the other day. Yes, a freakin’ spider! Little twerp. It was on the elbow too and it got all swollen and red and it itched like crazy and it was hot to touch it. My mom flipped out and started making me pop Benadryl and was putting all these funky sprays on it. Well, the Benadryl made me sleepy and the spray pretty much just smelled bad and made my elbow greasy. She wanted to take me to the hospital but I told her that it wasn’t *that* bad. It’s better now though so no worries. It’s just a little swollen and sore but it still itches but it hurts to touch it. Lol! I’m imagining Angel(Suyari) reading this because she wants to move up here from the city and she HATES spiders and now to find that I was bit by one…heehee! Don’t worry Angel, this is only like, the 2nd time I’ve been bit by one.^_~
Anywho, did you guys enjoy your extra hour of sleep for daily savings time? I know I did! I zonked out at 10pm and slept straight until 8:30am…well, it usually would be 7:30am but you know, with that extra hour it would technically…ah hell, you know what I mean!
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs and I’ve used this quote before but I randomly thought of it driving home from work and it made me giggle:
*The Warners are sitting on a roof stargazing*
Wakko: “Look at all those stars.”
Dot: “They make me want to write poetry…or bake a ham, I forget which.”

Well, I didn’t get my drawing done. *sniffles* I worked on it all day too but alas, I guess today wasn’t its time.XP The coloring of the character’s costumes took longer then I thought but I only have one left to do and I probably could’ve finished it but my patience was starting to wear thin after 8 straight hours. So yeah, I’ll definitely have it done by Monday or sooner. I have to work Saturday and Sunday. Boo.
Speaking of work, I got my schedule for next week and am happy that I’m getting my 3 days off but…they broke them up again!! Grrrr! I work a day then have a day off. Then work a day then have a day off. It frustrates me they’re pulling this crap. Especially since I work 10+ hours a day so I can’t get much accomplished once I get home. *grumbles* I’m amazed how many of you are dying to get a job. Trust me, it SUCKS! I’d actually rather be back in school then to have to work but of course, getting paid is dandy. I’ve been getting a nice steady income and it’s nice to see my checking account get bigger and bigger.^^
I went Ebay shopping last night. I bought Robin Hood: Men in Tights on DVD. That’s one of my all-time fave movies. It cracks me up that movie does. I also bought a set of Black Cat figures. I really only wanted Train since he’s a cutie…and something about that thigh gun holster of his…*wipes drool* but I guess it’s a plus the auction came with all the characters. I just need a place to find them since my Inuyasha, Naruto, and FF7: Advent Children figures dominate. I’m such a dork.XD
Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
*After the Warners wouldn’t stop talking to this guy after getting on a plane:*
Man: “Shhhhhhh! Shhh! Shhhh!! Do you know what that means?!”
Yakko: “You have a slow leak?”

In my last post, when I mentioned, “eye-rape” many people asked what I meant. Well, the term itself I picked up from an amazingly funny improvinization show called Reno911, in which one of the cops was getting written up for “eye-raping” another officer. When the cop heard the charges he asked what exactly an “eye-rape” was and the detective proceeded to show the cop what it is. Lol! I need to make a gif of it or something because it totally showcases what it is…which is basically just looking someone up and down in a suggestive manner without the person knowing you’re looking at them.
So at work today, one of the surveillance guys was talking to me and he told me how I’m so serious when I’m doing my job. In other words, I’m not entertaining enough for the people watching me on camera. When he told me this, I grabbed a yellow rose on my desk(which was left-over from a previous event at the casino) put it between my teeth and struck a pose. The surveillance guy cracked up and ran off and when he came back, he had a print-out of me striking that pose.>_< He has actually ran all the way back to the surveillance room, re-wound the security camera’s, paused the tape at the moment I did that, made a snapshot of it, AND made a bunch of copies of it. Lol! Man, these guys need something to do but my new nickname at work has become “Rose.”>_<
…………………………….okay, I just heard a flock of geese fly by….there’s something very unsettling about hearing a flock of geese at 12:01 at night.
Aaaaaaaaand I’m hoping to complete my Halloween contest drawing tomorrow…or today when most read this. *crosses fingers* And then it shall finally be revealed what characters I’m drawing and who they are dressed as. *gets drum roll tape ready*
Quote of the Day comes from Mystery Science Theater 3000:
Mike Nelson: “I can’t believe those guys called me a psycho! I’m going to cut off their heads and carve them into ash trays!”

I had a day off today…well, yesterday by the time most read this.XD I have to go back to work tomorrow and then I have another day off. I hate having my days off split! It just makes it so you really can’t get anything accomplished. Grrrr. Well, you can get stuff accomplished but if you’re like me, like with my artwork, when I get into a project it takes a crow bar to pull me away from it.
I worked on my Halloween contest entry all day and I must admit, I am loving how it’s coming out but I’m knocking on wood because there’s still plenty of ways to screw it up. I got all the skin and hair done and I got 2 characters totally finished. I have quite a few more to do though but I wont say how many because I’m trying not to reveal anything about whom I’m drawing. I’m sneaky like that.
Oh! And I forgot that I uploaded a little drawing the other day! It’s a drawing of Kyou I did while at work during the down-time when there was nothing to do. I had really really crappy materials to work with but tried my best. You can click the thumby below to see the full-sizer:
Oh yes, and with the hot bartender I’ve been talking about, I’m not really serious when I say I want to change him and such so I would go out with him. He’s really not my type…except for the incredibly hot part.^_~ He’s in the “look but don’t touch” category in that I’ll continue to eye-rape him on a daily basis but personality wise, naw, I can find better.

Howdy, everyone! Sorry, I didn’t mean to disappear for the last few days. Work is a turd burglar.
I’m pretty peeved though. I was all looking forward to having Monday-Wednesday off but then I see my work schedule and I’m working Monday and Tuesday. Not only that, I’m only getting 2 days off this week instead of 3. I know most people would want that extra day of pay but not me! It’s bad timing because not only am I trying to get my drawing done for the Halloween contest but I’m also one of the artists for the new Art of Otaku coming out. *grumbles* Man, I miss having a life.
Not much else exciting has happened. Well, there is one thing that happened that I found amusing. A customer got in trouble at our casino because she was trying to steal Halloween decorations. Ha! I mean, of all things to try and steal she tries to steal the decorations? They said she was trying to stuff them into her purse but they wouldn’t fit. *snicker*
Oh, and you guys remember that super hot bartender who would call me “Sweetie” but then I discovered he was a kinda a doofus plus he smoked and I lost interest in him. Well, the other day he comes up to me and says, “Hello, Beautiful.” Whoa-man! *fans self again* Gosh, why does he have to be so stinkin’ cute?! I need to make him stop smoking and then lose that college frat boy way of thinking. I can make a Yuki out of him yet…or maybe a Tamaki…hmmmm…*ponders* Oh, and his name is CJ for those who asked what his name was.^^
Hunny Bunny!!
