In my last post, many people asked how could I hate rain? I dunno, I just do. I hate that it’s cold, I hate that it’s wet, and I hate how it makes everything dark. I’m just a total grump when I’m in the rain.
Friday at work, I was there an additional 2 hours because the casino got really crowded right before my shift switched because there was a boxing match going on that night. Our casino also has a horse racing track but that’s closed now for the season since it’s getting too wet and cold to race. So, I stayed to help Sue out with other workers who were returning their money bags and others who needed new money bags and AH! It was crazy. But hey, it’s overtime and overtime gets paid time and a ½ so more money for me!
Plus, I don’t have to go into work again till Thursday! YAY! It’s just the way my schedule worked out…I’m still getting my 40 hours in.
I went shopping today because I deserve it, DANGIT!! I bought some new books and manga at Waldenbooks. They had the 4th volume of Tenshi Ja Nai!! I LOVE that manga!! And then I went to FYE and bought a Sarah Brightman CD. For those who don’t know who Sarah Brightman is, she was the original Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. I love her music because it’s pretty and New Age-ey.XD I then treated myself to Cinnabons. So gooey and cinnamoney. I bought a couple for my parents too and brought them home to them. They were very pleased.^^
Question of the Day: What zodiac animal are you?
My Answer: I’m the dog. BARK!

We had a monster of a downpour today. Of course, it was just as I was walking out of the casino at the end of my work day and it continued to pour the whole way home and then the rain stopped a few minutes once I got home. Feh! I hate rain.
I was a busy little bee today at work because it was soft count day. Soft count is when they take all the cash out of the gaming/slot machines and 3 people will count them and then I have to count them because I’m considered the “Main Banker” and our sums have to be the same. If they do, then I take all the cash into my room and I get to enter them into the computer and then put them in the counting machine to make them all face the same way and blah blah blah.
During my lunch, I was in the break room and there’s a big flat screen plasma TV in there and craptastic soup operas were on. I can’t believe how unrealistic these things are. In the episode I saw, a lady gets caught in a snowstorm and for some reason, decides to leave her car and she manages to find a barn to stay in…of course, she happens to be pregnant and her water breaks and she starts having contractions. Another lady who was stuck in the same some storm just happens to wander into the same barn as the other lady. And then suddenly the barn catches on fire…which makes total sense since it’s snowing? O_o Ehhhhh…it makes my head hurt.
Question of the Day: If you could have any mythical creature as a pet, what would it be?
My Answer: Well, besides a hot elf to play with(^_~), I would want a dragon but a small enough one to fit in my garage.^^

My mom is watching that Larry King show and he’s interviewing Clay Aiken. My mom loves Clay Aiken. They keep trying to get Clay to admit if he’s homosexual or not and he wont answer it. I don’t see what it matter whether he’s gay or not. It’s none of my business and doesn’t effect my life so, who cares?
Today at work, I got to work in the other vault for the first time. I like this vault better plus, I got to work a 9am-6:30pm shift so it was a lot calmer. This vault has more money in it then the other in which I’m surrounded by almost $800,000 in cash. I had a lot of free time and when there’s nothing to do, we’re allowed to browse the internet and such so, I did and it was dandy. Getting to visit all you guys on Otaku AND get paid for it? Man, life is good.XD
There was a fight in the casino today too. The best part is that it was between two old ladies who were dueling over who got to use a certain machine. “Crazy gambling grannies” is what the security was naming them over their walkie talkies.^^
Question of the Day: What's your favorite season?
My Answer: Summer. I like warmth!

So, my long absence is indeed due to my new job. They had me working from 5:30pm-3:30am+. When I was hired as a banker for this casino my official job title was “Cage Cashier” and I had a different idea of what my job ended up being. I am literally, the person in charge of handling all the money for this casino. I sit in a heavily surveillanced room and keep track and count all the money that I hand out to other workers and what they give back to me at the end of the evening. I am surrounded by over half a million dollars in cash.
I was trained by a lady named Sue who is one of those people who absolutely loves her job and she has a laugh that sounds like Betty Rubble from The Flintstones. I like her, she’s really nice but on my 2nd day of working there, she informed me that I was going to be all by myself on Monday. I just about had a heart attack. I told her straight up, “I can’t do this by myself. It’s too soon.” She called the manager and she told me that he gave her permission to come in with me on Monday. Thank goodness. I mean, c’mon!! What were they thinking believing I’d be able to do this job all by myself after 2 days of training?! Frick that! Tomorrow, I have to be there in the morning and they have me in the other vault…which is the easier vault…so why they decided to start me in the insanely hard vault, I’m not sure. My manager, Tom, who is one hell of a nice guy, thinks I’m like, the smartest person ever. I have no idea why he thinks that.XD I think it’s because I have a college bachelor degree and that automatically looks awesome on applications.^_^
Question of the Day: Which do you prefer, manga or anime?
My Answer: I prefer manga but it depends on the category because I prefer to watch action animes then to read them and prefer reading romance/drama ones then to watch them…except Ouran, that anime is just so pretty to watch.^__^

I’m glad you guys enjoyed Gavin’s corn-ball joke in my last post.XD Yes, he’s full of those. We were playing the game, Taboo, for those who don’t know the game, you get a word and under that word is a bunch of words you might use to describe the main word but you’re not allowed to say them, and it was Gavin’s turn and his word was “Lame” and so he says, “My jokes are really….” And everyone at the same time yells, “Lame!” Gavin’s face was hilarious. It was a mix of hurt and amusement. Even he knows his jokes are lame but he didn’t think everyone would say that word ALL at once.^_^
Anywho, a lot has been happening in my life in the last couple days. Some, I don’t care to get into at the moment but the main one is that I start my new job today. For those who forgot, I was hired to be a banker at a casino but I had 54 pages of paperwork to do to get my gaming and lottery license and I just now got cleared. I’m really nervous to start and I’m honestly, not ready to have to work so soon after my surgery. Even my surgeon, who I saw today in a check-up, told me to take it easy since I’m still recovering. I work 4, 10 hour days and then have 3 days off so my days are going to be looooong and that means you’ll probably not see me on as often. Especially since we’re still on dial-up and getting to everyone’s site may not be possible throughout the week. I’ll try though!^_^
Question of the Day: What position do you sleep in?
My Answer: I’m usually a side-sleeper but can also sleep on my back and stomach.

I got a call from a bunch of my friends telling me how much they missed me so yesterday we all got together and hung out. It was fun. I felt special that they all wanted to see me so bad. It’s only because of my surgery I haven’t seen them. My friend, Howard is off to England today and will be there till late December so we’ll miss him.
So, I called Angel today and we talked for a good 3 ½ hours. Sheesh! We’re a talkative basket. Anyway, we somehow got into the conversation of the talk show, Maury. I assume majority of you have seen this show? Most of this show involves skanky girls bringing in groups of guys to be DNA tested to see who the father of their baby is. Yeah, real classy. And Angel and I came up with this idea: What if someone were to do a parody of Maury but put the Ouran High School Host Club characters in it instead! Ha! Haruhi would be the pregnated gal(obviously) and all the Host Club was there to be tested even though Haruhi is like, “WTF? I didn’t even have sex with all these guys,” Hee! I know, total nutters but Angel wants to write it into a fan fiction and I was going to do an illustration for it. I think it sounds fun.^_^
Quote of the Day comes from my friend, Gavin:
*Gavin is looking at a bunch of change Howard has sitting on top of his air conditioner.*
Gavin: “So Howard, what’s with all the coins on top of your AC?”
Howard: Oh yeah, that. I was clearing out my closet and found all that change and just threw it on there.”
Gavin: “Heh, you know, if you were to turn on your AC, it would be the Winds of Change.”
Ha! So corny yet I laugh.^_^

Wow, my pal CERM just let me know that I’m #3 in the most popular Otaku members. Fancy that! Thanks for letting me know CERM or else I’d never notice. Lol!
Have you fellow fan artists noticed that you can upload high-resolution drawings now?! YES! And if you’re a Senior Otaku or above you can Edit your images and upload high-res ones and not lose all your comments and votes and such. I already added the full-size version of my last Art of Ramen drawing. I wish I had something faster then dial-up though so I could edit them faster. D’oh!
Anyway, I did a 3 mile jog this morning. I haven’t done much physical stuff since my surgery and it felt good to do something active. I used to be a hard-core cross country runner back in high school but then the college I went to didn’t have any sports teams so…yeah, no more X-Country. 3 miles is nothing compared to what we used to have to run during practices but in the area I live is extremely hilly so that takes a lot more umph.
Oh, and I’m working on doing an art trade with CERM. This is my first time doing an art trade and I’m drawing 3 of her original characters in chibi form and she’s drawing 2 of mine in chibi form. I’ve only done chibis a couple times so we’ll see how it goes.^_^
Question of the Day: When you sleep, do you keep your shades/curtains/blinds open or closed?
My Answer: I sleep with mine open so I can wake pleasantly to daylight…plus, I’m on the 3rd story of our house so I don’t have to worry about pervs peeking in.XP
And here’s a stinkin’ picture of Kyou so you Kyou fans will leave me alone about posting an image of him. But Yuki’s in it too so HA!

Ha! I’m glad so many of you liked the picture of Yuki in my last post. Yeah, I just about spazzed when I saw that image myself. The full-version is currently my desktop theme. *pets Yuki*
Anyway, I finished reading another book today. I’ve read about 4 books since my surgery since I haven’t had much else to do. It’s a good thing I seem to have an endless supply of un-read books since I tend to see one I’d think I’d like and just buy them. Especially when I worked at Barnes & Nobles. I have a bunch of un-read mangas to read too.XD
Did any of you happen to watch MADTV Saturday night? I know probably most didn’t since Saturday night is when Adult Swim airs some anime. Anyway, it was hilarious because they did a parody of the new season of the reality show, Survivor. Have you guys heard of this season of Survivor in which they separated the teams based on race: White, Asian, Latino, and African American. Well, MADTV did a hilarious parody of it in which they basically did the same thing but then they gave the groups stereotypical names. Asian’s team was called "Soy Sauce," Latino’s name was "Tacos," African American was "Chicken and Malt," and 'Real Americans' were "White Bread" and throughout the show they made it obvious that the "White Bread" team had all the advantages. So wrong yet so funny. It was a such a highly deserved parody since it seems Survivor is doing whatever they can to boost up ratings and separating people by race is a sure way to draw viewers in.
Question of the Day: If you’re watching a show and commercials come on, what do you tend to do?
My Answer: I read a book. I rarely actually watch commercials.^^

I had another appointment with my surgeon yesterday. Nothing big, just a check-up and he looked at the stitches in my mouth and told me I can start eating solid foods again! YAY! I can’t eat chips or pretzels or anything sharp and I can’t eat hamburgers. The first thing I ate when I came home…Ramen. Oh man, the most delicious thing in the world.XP
Today I went shopping since my face looks normal enough now to be seen in public.^^ I went to Target first and got Season 5 of Seinfeld on DVD for only $18! It was on sale! Sa-weet! The Puffy Shirt episode is on this set.^_^ And I also bought season 5 of The Simpsons since that was on sale too. I then hopped over to Waldenbooks and bought a bunch of mangas. Anyone ever read the manga called, Our Kingdom? It’s very good but it’s a light yaoi so if you’re a guy…yeah, better stay clear.
Oh, and I downloaded more of the Ouran High School Host Club character songs since EvilInuGirl told me new ones were up. Thanks Inugirl! I still think Tamaki has the best singing voice of all of them. So smexy. The twins are 2nd best.^_^
Question of the Day: On weekends, what’s the average time you sleep in till?
My Answer: 10-10:30am…give or take.
And now…the cutest, most adorable, spazzable, glompable picture of Yuki EVER:
AHH! *squishes*

Wow, I just replied to all of my unanswered PM’s that I’ve been putting off for a few weeks. 90+ PM’s…oiy. Sometimes I get so many PM’s that when I get a reply back from people I have no idea what they’re talking about. *hangs head in shame* It’s nice to get the original message included so I can recap. I try to use that feature every time I reply but it sometimes doesn’t work. Feh!
I randomly remembered a conversation I had with one of my managers when I worked at Barnes & Noble today. This conversation, if you understand the hidden meaning, is borderline PG-13 so you may not want to continue. Hee! Anyway, I was closing with the manager, Jason, that night and it must be pointed out that Jason is homosexual. That night, the customers seemed to be extra messy as in there were books just piled everywhere so he and I were picking them up throughout the night. Jason, starts complaining about how earlier that afternoon he had to stack up books and then there was garbage on the floor and now he’s picking up books people left on the floor and Jason just says, “Man, my whole life is about bending over!!” I just froze and gave him the total, O_o…look and he just stops, looks at me and says, “Wow, that sounded REALLY bad, didn’t it.” And I’m like, “Yeah.” And then we burst out laughing. Ah good times…some of you may not get why that sounded perverted. And thus ends a random discussion I had a couple months ago.^_^
Question of the Day: What’s one of the grossest things you’ve ever seen?
My Answer: I was driving down the highway and I see this big smear of red in the middle of the road and I just thought, “WTF, was that?” Well, I got my answer as I rounded a curve soon after and saw body parts of a deer scattered ALL over the place. I think the deer tried to play chicken with a semi and lost.
