I think I need to clarify something because people said that I should be able to eat again now that my bandages are off, well, yes, I got my bandages taken off my chin and neck but the stitches all along the bottom of my mouth are still there. So yeah, I still can’t eat anything that involves chewing. I ate some mashes potatoes for dinner and that was yummy…but then I felt sick afterwards. I think my stomach is like, “WTF? Food?! Psh! I’m getting used to liquids and you give me potatoes! Feh!” I feel like crap now.

Anyway, some people seemed distraught that I gave a slight Ouran High School Host Club spoiler in my last post. I wouldn’t really call that a spoiler, at most, I’d call it a mild teaser. I get yelled at when I slightly give away something in the Fruits Basket manga as well since I’m on volume 20-something now. Even then, I wasn’t giving away anything! A true spoiler would be if I revealed something like, “Kyou ends up with ‘this person’ and Yuki ends up ‘this person’ oh, and they figure out the secret to break the curse, which is this. Now THAT would be a spoiler. See the difference?

Question of the Day: What’s something that makes you cringe?
My Answer: The sounds of silverware scraping across a porcelain plate. Like in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. *shudder*
OMG! *breathes breathes* It’s Yuki and Machi! My fave Fruba coupling! This is a scan from a later volume.

I’m glad you guys like the picture of my doggie, Freddie, in my last post.^_^ Many said they wanted to pet her…yes, people who do pet her, soon realize that it’s hard to get rid of her afterwards. She loooooves getting pet and becomes Velcro Freddie to the person who pets her. She loves the attention and lovin’.^^
Question of the Day: Favorite salad dressing?
My Answer: Ranch! Yumm.

Hey, there is now over 230 members of the Yuki Club!! Sa-weet.
Anyway, I got my bandages off! YAY! Before I met with the surgeon though, they weighed me and I’ve dropped 6 pounds since my surgery. The doc didn’t like that since I’m already underweight and I’ve become really weak so he told me I have to try and start gaining the weight back. Gah, you know, it’s hard to gain weight when one is only allowed to drink liquids. Feh, so my parents bought some high calorie Boost protein drinks and got me ice cream and all that crap.
I got to take a shower though when I got home. Ahhhhh…it felt so nice. Except my hair was falling out in like, clumps which freaked me out but I have really long hair and it’s thick so I think it was just because I haven’t washed my hair in so long.

I watched more Ouran High School Host Club today and I’m waiting for them to reveal Tamaki’s past. We know he used to play the piano for his sick mother and now I learn that one mother is dead and his step-mom is missing. Gah! The torture…they always reveal the saddest character’s past till last. Like in Fruits Basket, they saved revealing Yuki’s and Akito’s past till later. *sniff* So sad. Poor Yuki-kun, *pets him.*

I get my bandages taken off today….hopefully. I look forward to taking a nice shower when I get home.
Question of the Day: What’s your favorite snack?
My Answer: Spicy Nacho Doritos.

So, I turned on my cell phone late last night and saw that Angel, Suyari, had tried to call me like, 8 times. Sorry Angel! I had turned my cell off after my surgery so it wouldn’t wake me and I forgot to turn it back on. Whoops, I’ll call you later today.^^
Onto another subject, I’m kinda getting tired of people who come to me site and leave comments like this: “Hey, comment on my site and sign my guestbook!” Feh! Why should I when these people have obviously not bothered to read my post and they obviously want me to visit them for the sole purpose of boosting their popularity ranking? I just don’t understand how people can go around leaving comments like that. If someone comments on my site and I can tell they actually read it and didn’t just answer the question of the day and leave, then yes, I will visit their site in return. If they leave half-ass comments like the one above then why would I bother to take the effort to read their post and learn about them, when they obviously didn’t do it with me? *shakes head*
Sorry for the rant there…I think not having any food in almost a week is making me easily agitated.XD

Oh, a few people have asked to see what my doggie, Freddie, looks like and the picture along the bottom is her with a bone hanging from her mouth.^^ That’s my older brother, Trevor lying beside her. Doberman pinchers have a reputation for being fierce dogs but Freddie is such a lovey.

Well, I’m feeling a little better. Today was the first day I stayed awake the whole day! I almost fell asleep once but forced myself to remain awake. Codone drugs really have a way of relaxing and numbing you to the point of just falling asleep. My mouth is still killing me with all the stitches but my bottom lip looks almost normal again! It’s still a smidge swollen but my chin and neck are still quite puffy so I still sound funny when I talk and I can’t tilt my head backwards or anything because of the swelling.

My stomach is going koo-koo though since I haven’t had food since Wednesday. I’ve had nothing but water, broth, yogurt, and BOOST protein drinks. My body is as weak as a kitten. Aw…kitten…*pets imaginary kitten I wish I had.* Tuesday, I have an appointment with the surgeon so hopefully then, he’ll remove the bandages so I can take a shower! My hair is so gross but I’ve been washing my body with a washcloth and soap so I’m not stinky.XD
My family had come up for my grandmother’s 92nd birthday party Saturday and they had fun. While they were eating, I was passed out on the couch. lol! They all felt so bad for me and they kept asking me questions and I was getting tired of having to repeat myself since they could barely understand me. Feh! Ah well, my dog, Freddie, kept me company, she’s good at doing that.^^
My sister went home Sunday morning and I already miss her. I probably wont see her for another couple years and it’s nice having someone to talk to.

Question of the Day: What’s something you always look forward to doing on the weekend?
My Answer: Drawing or reading. I love doing those.^_^

I hate people who complain a lot…and I’m about to become one but…OW!! OWIE! OW! OW! My mouth and jaw hurt so much I want to cry. My neck is swollen still and my lip is too and my teeth are always bloody from the stitches along the bottom of my mouth and my throat hurts to swallow because when I was under anesthesia, they put a tube in my nose and down my throat to keep me breathing and ow. I’m keeping up with my hydocodone though and that helps a lot but it mostly just knocks me out. I went to bed last night a little after midnight and didn’t truly wake up until 2pm this afternoon. My tummy hurts too. Bleh.

Anyway, no more complaining, I gotta stay tough. Luckily, my family went to my grandmother’s house so they were gone most of the day so I wasn’t being bugged by them. My mom bugged me twice in the morning, the first time, to check if I was still alive.XD and the 2nd, to let me know they were leaving. Around 3pm, I went downstairs to watch People’s Court and then Judge Judy. My doggie, Freddie, slept next to me so that was nice and relaxing as I drifted in and out of consciousness from the drugs.^^
Tomorrow is when my OTHER grandma and the rest of the family are coming to our house for her 92nd birthday. I feel bad that I wont be able to stick around much but I’ll try. I can’t really talk still…I sorta can but it’s really muffled and my voice is all raspy. That and they’ll be eating food around me and I can’t eat any food! It’s even worse watching TV…one doesn’t tend to notice how fantastic food looks in commercials until you can’t have them. lol!

Question of the Day: What’s your favorite genre of food?
My Answer: Italian. All that melted cheese and garlicy bread and those peppers…Mmm! So yummy.

Well, my surgery went well…at least, that’s what the surgeon said. I wont know for awhile since right now, I’m doped up on hydrocodone and the bottom of my face and neck are really swollen. My bottom lip is bigger then Angelina Jolie’s! I hope I make sense through all this and if not…erm, blame the drugs. With my surgery, they cut the bone along the bottom of my jaw to pull it forward and they did the incision from the inside of my mouth so I wouldn’t have scars. So, I’m only allowed to drink clear liquids until Tuesday. *sniff* My mom is calling the doctor’s office tomorrow though because she wants to see if I’m at least allowed to drink Ensure or something that has actual substance in it besides water or juice.

I’m glad I have Otaku though because it keeps my mind awake and I can actually “talk” via typing since I can’t really speak vocally.
My sister talks a lot so she hasn’t stopped talking since I got home. I love my sister and it’s great seeing her again but please, shut up! Lol! Especially since I don’t want to talk back to her and I just want to snooze.
Oh, and I’m not supposed to take a shower until Tuesday. Gross! It has to do with keeping the bandages dry so I’ll probably be using a wash cloth since I can’t take a bath either because of the humidity. Feh!
So…how are you guys?! lol!

Question of the Day: What’s your favorite (or was if you’ve graduated) academic class in school? Academic meaning classes like social studies, math, etc. Not art or music type classes.^^
My Answer: English was always my fave. I loved classic books and Shakespeare and such so I was usually in the advanced classes.

Today is the day of my surgery…yeehaw. To refresh people’s memories, I’m having a surgery in which they saw off the bottom of my jaw and shift everything forward. This is something that they’ve wanted to do on me for awhile but I was always in school or working, etc. The surgery is at 10:45am and will take an hour and a ½ or so and then I’ll be able to go home in the early evening. Thank goodness it’s not an overnight stay. I hate staying in hospitals overnight. The walls are so sterile…I miss seeing all my anime crap on my walls! I’m a little nervous…mostly because I had a funky dream the other night about this surgery but not too bad. I’m less nervous about this one then my wrist surgery. It sucks mostly because I wont be able to eat solid food for some time. Boo.

Anyway, my grandmother’s 92nd birthday is coming up and a bunch of our family is coming up on Saturday…which kinda sucks since I’m not going to really be able to talk or eat. Fun…BUT, my sister came home last night and I haven’t seen her in a couple years so I’m glad she’s home. The first thing she did when she saw me, was give me a hug, then smack me on the forehead and then hand me her bags to carry in for her. Lol! Sounds mean but it’s not…it’s just something we do to one another. She’s almost 11 years my senior and used to call me “munchkin” but now I’m taller then her so HA!

Question of the Day: If you have siblings, is there something they often do to terrorize you? Or, do YOU do something to them?
My Answer: Like I said above, my sister used to always smack my forehead. My brother used to hang me upside down, tickle my feet so I’d laugh uncontrollably, and then my dog, Freddie, would go nuts and lick my face only to make me laugh more. Laughing hurts after awhile.

This continues with what I was discussing yesterday about the Miyazaki movies not having character development. Lordsesshomaru described it perfectly: “His movies are like a beautifully painted vase. On the outside, it is incredibly detailed and a joy to look at. However, it is completely hollow on the inside.”
Very poetic, Chris.XP Many people said, “well, you can’t really have good character development when it’s not like an anime that’s a series and you slowly learn about the characters.” Well, I’m not looking at the movies like an anime show…I look at them as a movie. Within the time frame of a movie, from 72 mins-120 mins one should be able to like the characters within that time. Here’s an example, look at Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, that movie ran a bit over 2 hours and within that time, one loves that character. Heck, within the first 5 minutes of Jack Sparrow appearing, one loves that character. Why? GOOD writing and GOOD character development.
Like I said, Miyazaki movies are breathtaking to watch but, the characters are hollow. And again, feel free to disagree.^_^

Anywho, have people noticed the voting system has been changed in the fanart section?! Whee! I love it already!
I went to my friend, Tyler’s house and he had burned me a DVD with the latest episodes of Ouran High School Host Club and some other Ouran goodies so I’m looking forward to checking that out. We then watched the season premiere of House. We love that show. We also played this game that’s like DDR but for drums and it plays really funny music and has these psycho chibi animal things dancing around in the background. It’s a fun game.

Question of the Day: Do you have a memory of a first day of school moment you wont ever forget? It can be from any grade.
My Answer: In college, my first figure drawing class. It took me awhile to get used to a person walking into the class, taking off all their clothes and posing in front of us while we drew them. People got so used to it after awhile that when we’d walk down hallways we’d see naked models in the class rooms and not think twice about it. It was like, "la la...oh look, naked person...la la laaa."

I chatted with my bestest pal, Angel…also known as Suyari here on Otaku…I mentioned her site, she’ll probably get swarmed again. Sorry, Angel!^_^ We talked on the phone for a good 2 hours I’d say. I haven’t talked with someone that long on the phone since I was a youngin’. It was nice talking to her though since I miss her and she’s allllll the way down in NYC. Her site was giving her problems, so I fixed it for her. Crazy html.

She and I talked about a lot of things but we somehow got into the Miyazaki movies. You know, Howl’s Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, etc. and I brought up a topic that I think I may get debated over, which is okay but when I watch all his movies, there is always something lacking in them. And that’s character development. Anyone else notice that? Miyazaki spends so much time making the movie look pretty that one doesn’t get much time to learn about the characters. They don’t show that much personality to be blunt and they don’t talk much. The only time I really saw personality in Howl, was when Howl was freaking out about his hair getting dyed. Haku, the dragon boy, from Spirited Away was one character I did get somewhat attached too at least. But don't get me wrong, I do enjoy his movies but just wish the characters were as good as the visuals.
Oh, and my friends and I did manage to go to the park yesterday without it raining! We played frisbee...I'm good at throwing, all those years of throwing the frisbee for my doggie, Freddie, but I'm not good at catching. I accidently threw the disk into Gavin's crotch once. He didn't think it was as funny as I did.XP

Question of the Day: Do you have friends on Otaku you know in real life?
My Answer: YES! Angel! *glomps her* We were coworkers at Barnes & Noble.^^

lol! I just got a snide comment from someone here on Otaku. It made me laugh because they were making fun of me for liking anime but then I go to their site, and they watch anime, play video games, and even their username clearly shows they watch Inuyasha. Pfft…yeah, if you’re going to make fun of someone, better at least attempt to make yourself look somewhat educated and not make fun of them in something that you clearly enjoy yourself. *snickers* He then picked on me for having “nerdy” friends. Ha! If only he actually knew them…well, at least I HAVE friends.^_~

So anyway, as I’m sure majority of you have noticed is that Otaku wasn’t working for awhile. I was chatting with Adam and he basically told me that a main server for the site crashed. He worked his butt off to fix it so be happy about that.
Tomorrow, I may end up going to the park with my friends to hang out and play Frisbee and such. It may rain though so that sucks but we’ll see how it goes. It’s been raining here for the past few days so it’s been boring and gloomy.
But, I was clearing up hard drive space on my computer by burning downloaded animes and such onto DVD and I ended up making this gif:

This is from Ouran High School Host Club and that part cracks me up every time. Photobucket gives me problems though with my gifs in that is speeds them up too much. Ah well, that’s the part where Haruhi’s dad walks in on Tamaki after he accidentally fell on top of her and…oh man…just that smile and then WHACK!!! Ha!

Question of the Day: Is there a food you don’t like?
My Answer: Yep, cherries. I hate cherries.
