My doggy, Freddie is doing much better today! I’m so happy. She’s a little weak and wobbly today but at least she can walk again and go outside. She slept most of the day since she didn’t sleep much yesterday or last night. So yes, I’m relieved, I get very depressed when my pup isn’t doing well. When Freddie is happy, I am happy.^^
Question of the Day: What’s something you look for in the opposite sex?…or same sex depending on which way your door swings.^_~
My Answer: Humor. They need to be able to make me laugh or PSH! To them!

I had my drug test today for my new casino job. No biggie, I know I’ll pass it. My only drug is my love for art! Heh, lame, I know. I then had an eye appointment. My optometrist complimented how nice my hair looked followed by, “It’s very elf-like.” Ha! I had it up in a half-braid again like Legolas sports in Lord of the Rings. I often put my hair up like this since it’s fast, easy, keeps my hair out of my face, and…it just looks so darn cute! Those elves are smart.^_~ Some may remember how my coworkers at B&N would toss Arwen jokes around.
My dad is away on vacation and my mom and I were going to go out to a restaurant but we needed one or the other to stay home with Freddie, so I picked up McDonalds on my way home. A place I rarely go to since, you know, naughty food. Like my tennis coach used to say, “I gotta keep my girlish figure.” I need to point out that my tennis coach was this really big, macho-looking guy with a super deep booming voice. Heehee! Good stuff.

Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
Dot: *looking at war costume she’s designing* “This needs something…something that says, ‘I’m here to destroy you’…but with a sense of fun!” *snaps fingers* “I got it! Wear your underwear outside of your clothes!” *looks at camera* “Hey, it worked for Madonna.”

Question of the Day: What do you have as your desktop wallpaper right now?
My Answer: It’s the full version of a picture I had posted here a few days back of Ouran that shows Mori shirtless with the twins, Haruhi and Hunny looking at him funny.
For my drawing, when I mentioned I’d like people to look at the full-size on Deviant Art, I wasn’t saying you HAD to. Nor, was I asking you to comment on it there as well. I just wanted people to see what the good quality one looked like. I spent days on this drawing and the one here on Otaku is so small I’m bummed that so much of my effort was lost in it. That, and people were nit-picking things about it and I wanted people to see the true version since things are quite distorted when it’s shrunk so much. Get it? So no, if you don’t want to look at it, then don’t. I don’t want to force people to look at it if they don’t want.

Anyway, my doggy, Freddie, still isn’t doing well. People didn’t know dogs can have seizures but yes, they can. Freddie is 15 years old which is ancient for a large Doberman. She never had them till last year and they come and go. When she has one, her head usually just snaps back and her whole body just goes completely limp and she collapses. So yes, it’s truly frightening to see it happen. She had a really bad one today when I was home alone in which she collapsed by the front door and her head twisted so much under her when she fell, that I was certain, she had broken her neck. I totally choked and grabbed her and lifted her up and laid her in a better position. She’s almost 90 lbs and I’m not much heavier then her so I don’t know how the heck I managed to pick her up. Anyway, she’s alert and all but she can’t stand up. I’ve been lying next to her all day and petting her since that’s what she loves best. I hope she’s better tomorrow though.
And sorry I’m being depressing. I’ll try to be better tomorrow, kay?

Thanks to those who left comments for me on my last drawing. I must say that I was a bit disappointed in some of the responses I got from people here on myO. Maybe it’s because that I wish people would have checked out the full-version of my drawing rather then going by the teeny version of it here on Otaku. It’s hard to truly view a piece that’s been shrunk 90% of its original size. The one on Deviant Art had so many positive responses and I was blown away that it got over 1,600 hits on the first day! That’s a record for any of my drawings. Made me feel better since my day wasn’t that great. Anyway, here’s the version here on myO:

And here’s the link to the better full-sizer on Deviant: Clicky!

Well, my day started out okay. I went to the career service of the casino I’ve been hired at and took home with me 52 pages of paperwork. Yes, 52 pages and I’m not exaggerating. I need to do a lot of paperwork to be granted a gambling license and to handle money in the casino. I have to go in for a drug test tomorrow and then be finger printed at a police station. Joy.
I was hoping to start on a new drawing today but my 15 year old Doberman Pincher dog I mentioned in my last post, had a series of seizures so I laid by her side most of the day. It’s scary when they happen because she will just collapse and go limp and her eyes dart back and forth. I feel awful since she was doing better but then I got a phone call and got up to get it and Freddie(my doggy) tried to get up to follow me and collapsed all over again. Anyway, I hope she’s better tomorrow since she’s my baby and it’s tough seeing her like this.

I finished my sequel to The Art of Ramen: piece! It’s after 1:30am and I just finished it. Hee! I uploaded it on Deviant Art first since I like to provide a link to a larger version of it on the one I upload here on Otaku. Darn those image restrictions!!! Only allowing a width of 700 is pretty ridiculous. Anyway, here’s the link to the fresh out of the oven drawing:

I spent loads of time on this one so I’d appreciate you guys taking a moment to just take a look at it and comment since that would make me feel special.^___^
Oh, and here’s a link to the original one if you haven’t seen it yet:

And here’s a link if you want to see the full-size piece: Clicky!
Yes, it’s best to check out the big one since so much detail is lost on the one here on myO. *sniffles*

So yeah, working on that drawing is pretty much all I did all day. 7 characters in one drawing takes a long time. Fancy that.
And a girl came over today with a puppy since she was trying to sell them. It was so cute! It was a Pomeranian puppy so it was just a little black fluff ball. I held it in my arms and it snuggled its face in the crook of my arm and fell asleep. KAWAII!!! I couldn’t get one though since my Doberman doggy is 15 years old and can’t handle a puppy.

Anyway, too tired to think of a quote and tomorrow I have to pick up papers for my casino job…forgot to mention that I got hired. And then I’ll be visiting all of you! *MWAH!* Goodnight Everybody!

Gomen! I didn’t mean to not be around myO for 3 days…well, technically 2 but last time I updated was at midnight on Thursday so I didn’t get to visit too many people Friday. I’ll sum up what I’ve been up to in the next paragraph.
Question of the Day: Since I wasn’t around, tell me one thing you did that I may have missed that you want me to know about.

Anywho, it all started Friday morning when I had a doctor’s appointment and now I’m going to be having a surgery September 7th that involves them sawing off the bone along the bottom of my jaw and shifting everything forward. I don’t feel like going into the details on why they must do this since that’s a long story.
After I got home from that, I got a call from a lady who wanted to know if I could get together some of my artwork and put it into a gallery show that was opening that night. So, I had to run to the casino where my brother works(since my art portfolio was there) and then grab some random other drawings, head down to the gallery and put up my work.

Saturday, I went on a 4 hour long car trip with my friend, Tyler to a wedding for a friend of his in lower Pennsylvania. We got lost trying to find the wedding since it was…get this…on a hill, in the middle of a cornfield. Weird. I got to witness one of the wedding guests pass out too! It was very sunny and there was no shade so it’s no surprise someone fainted. It entertained me(I know, I’m heartless) but she was fine later. And then we went to a winery for the reception and had lots of yummy samples of wine. After that, we went back to the hotel and then left early Sunday morning. So yeah, there be my summary of the past 3 days. Hope it wasn’t too painful.^^

On our local news today, they were talking about an incident where a man was mad at a car dealership so late one night, he goes into the lot and shoots at a bunch of cars with a sling shot. A sling shot? Who is he, Bart Simpson? No, some 65 year old man but…of all things…a sling shot.
Question of the Day: What’s a habit of yours that others may find annoying?
My Answer: I have a leg that never stops bouncing.

Today, I worked on my drawing with the 7 characters. I told you guys it was a sequel to one of my older drawings and I think most of you figured it out. For those who didn’t I’ll just tell you…ain’t I sweet? It’s a sequel to my Art of Ramen piece. This one:

But, there’s 6 characters in that drawing and my sequel has 7…so…who’s the mysterious new character joining the crew? OH! You’ll have to wait and see.^_~ It’s coming along well though. I have all their skin and hair colored and have one person’s outfit done. It took me about 6 hours just to color all their hair! I watched movies while working on it. One was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp. I never tire of seeing the part where Willy Wonka slams into the glass elevator. Heehee! It’s like a bird smacking into a window and then that face of utter confusion.XD

Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs, and this one is special because the image along the bottom is what makes this quote so funny:
Yakko: “Miss Bilchmontner, you’re a meter maid, is that correct?
Miss Bilchmontner: “Yes.”
Yakko: “Do you do windows?”
Miss Bilchmontner: “No, of course not!”
Yakko: “What kind of maid are you?!”
Judge: “Stop badgering the witness!”
*goes to this shot:*

I’m heartbroken. Wonder why? It appears like my favorite soft drink, Pepsi Vanilla, will no longer be made. *falls on floor and throws hands into air* NOOOOOO!!!!
Question of the Day:What’s your favorite soft drink? I.E. soda?
My Answer: Well, it WAS Pepsi Vanilla. *sigh* Don’t know what it will be now. *does the Tamaki sulk in corner*

So, I found out via PM that I am currently #5 on the most popular members list. Dang, when did that happen? And thanks to all who have visited me to make that happen. *smiles*…almost makes me forget about my Pepsi Vanilla crisis….almost...>_>
Anyway, I got a call from our local anime store, and I had won the art contest! I had given them a print of my drawing, ‘Sasuke, Sex Me’ to be judged. Here’s the drawing in case you forgot:

So, I win $10 store credit and my friend, Tyler and I are going there Friday so I’ll probably pick up a new CD or manga or movie or something.
Today, my pals, Tyler, Howard, and I were going to go see the movie, Clerks II and to our dismay, it’s not playing anymore. Boo. So we went out to brunch at Denny’s instead. They have awesome cappuccinos.

Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
Dr.Scratchnsniff: “I’m going to show you a series of inkblot tests and I want you to tell me what you think they look like.” *shows first one which is obviously a dog*
Yakko: “Girls.”
Dr.Scratchnsniff: “How about this one?” *shows next one which is obviously a hamburger*
Yakko: “Girls.”
Dr.Scratchnsniff: “What about this one?” *shows another that is obviously a car*
Yakko: “Ehhhhhhhh….girls.”
Dr.Scratchnsniff: *throws down cards* “You are obsessed with girls!!!”
Yakko: “Hey, you’re the one showing me all the sexy pictures.”

My brother is visiting us for a few days(I have 2 older brothers, this is the younger older one^^) and my parents took us all to a restaurant. I’ve come to the conclusion, there’s nothing that spoils a nice meal more then having a yelling, crying, fussing infant/toddler sitting near you. There was a little girl sitting across from us…I now hate this little girl.
Question of the Day: What genre of anime/manga do you enjoy most?
My Answer: I’m pretty open but tend to like drama/humor/friendship ones like Ouran, Fruits Basket, or Hot Gimmick. I like action like Inuyasha or Kenshin too though, obviously, but there has to be a romance in there somewhere or I hold no interest to it. Hee, I’m such a girl.

Since I’ve started posting quotes from Animaniacs many have asked me if Animaniacs was a children’s show, since there’s so much “suggestive” humor in it? Well, that’s the beauty and utter brilliance of this fine show! This series was made to not only be entertaining for kids but for adults as well. For example, you know how the movie Shrek is technically a children’s movie but there’s a lot of “adult themed” humor in it too? Same went for this show…which is something they don’t put in children’s shows these days. Shame shame. This was a show my dad and older siblings used to watch with me and while they laughed at certain parts, I just scratched my head wondering why that was funny…It wasn’t till I was OLDER that I finally got their references. Pure brilliance.
Anyway, back to working on my drawing. 4 of the 7 character's skin is colored completely. Sa-weet!

And low-and-behold, the Quote of the Day shall be from Animaniacs and it’s one I’ve used in the past but it deserves to be shared once more:
*A pilgrim is after the Warner’s pet turkey*
Pilgrim: “Give me the bird!”
Yakko: “We’d love to, really, but the censor’s wont allow it.”
Haha! Again, if you don’t get it, ask your parents.XD

I got an Ebay item I had won in the mail today. It’s an Ouran High School Host Club picnic matt…I thought it was going to be a poster! Ha! This thing is HUGE! It showcases the Host Club relaxing by the pool in bathing suits…*wipes drool* I just re-arranged my posters and such that were already on my walls and hung it up like a poster too. It’s so pretty. *pets*
Question of the Day: What’s something that you have to do or need on a daily basis?
My Answer: I NEED COFFEE!!! I get a killer headache if I don’t have coffee at some point during the day. Addiction is bad kids.

Today, I remembered something that happened the last week in NYC when I was working at Barnes & Noble…heh, and you thought you weren’t going to hear any more stories from there, huh? Anyway, this happened in Mid-July:
So, our undercover detective kept on acting sleuthy…which means, he had his eye on a potential thief which happened often there so I didn’t pay much attention. However, soon after, I see this kid just gun it around a turn with the undercover detective right behind him. The kid just dives down the escalator and the detective manages to grab his backpack as he’s going down. The kid, shrugs off his backpack, runs out of the store and gets away. Well, here comes the best part…guess what this kid had IN his backpack? Not only did he have his license in there, he also had his social security card and…the total kicker, his papers from his parole officer since he had just gotten out of jail 2 weeks prior. Hahaha! Yes, if you’re going to try and steal items from a store, don’t bring every form of identification with you. Hey, no one said thieves were smart!

Quote of the Day comes from the Animaniacs game for Gamecube:
*The Warners are talking to a sophisticated turtle starting to be boiled in a witch’s stew*
Turtle: “I tried to tell her not to cook me but she wont listen. I’d taste terrible! I’m too fruity to be eaten!”
Dot: “……….I’m not touching that one.”

My dad was smart enough to leave our sliding glass door open so now our house has many little bugs flying around. Oh joy. There’s a moth that seems to have taken a liking to my monitor.
Question of the Day: Do you go to church?
My Answer: Ha! Church? What’s that? Haven’t been there since I was like, 7 years old.

It looks like I have a new job working as a banker for a local casino. This casino just opened and it’s so beautiful inside. It used to be a horse racing track that was closed a long time ago but they re-did and it’s ever-so pretty now. My brother is the food manager there so I met up with him there last week and he introduced me to a bunch of high-end people. He told me to bring my art portfolio with me and we bumped into the woman in charge of hiring artists for the casino. She was really amazed by my portfolio. She especially loved my photorealism animal portraits and she took my business card and told me she’s going to give me a buzz the next time they need an artist or graphic designer. Hot diggity! But in the meantime, I’m hopefully, going to be working there as a banker which pays splendidly.
Before this, I was in the process of getting my transfer completed at the Barnes & Noble here but they didn’t have full-time position available, just part-time and they were going to reduce my pay. Feh!
Anyway, I have all 7 characters to my latest drawing complete! Now…time to color which will take awhile seeing as how, you know, there’s 7 characters in it. Oiy.

Quote of the Day comes from Animaniacs:
Yakko: “There it is sibs, the Florida Keys…right between the Florida pocket lint and the Florida spare change.”
Ha! If you don’t get it…ask your parents.^_~
